Thank you for watching! I have listed the time stamps in the description and the library cards in the video if you need to come back to reference the recipes. I hope you enjoy this new meals of the week! All recipes are featured in my corresponding blogpost linked in the description as well. Love, Jennifer ♥️
Jennifer, do you think Ben would be willing to do a video with you discussing the different Christmas traditions (England and America)? I read a lot of British literature and I find the English Christmas traditions so interesting.
Kristyn Lorraine Hall Would also like that! We were in England last Christmas with our family who lives there and were hoping for a repeat in ‘20 - but that’s looking doubtful at this point ....
Wonderful recipes, dear Jennifer - thank you so very much for sharing your ideas! Can't wait to try the salmon en croûte & the clam chowder; hubby was just talking about clam chowder the other day so I'm going to make it as a surprise for him. Waiting for your Connoisseur Cookbook... ;) God love you!
I love your "What's for Dinner" videos. They look so good, and also doable for the home cook. Very accessible. You should do a cookbook! Your meals are my favorites on You Tube. "In the Kitchen with the Daily Connoisseur"... What do you think? 🙂
Menu planning is so important! Glad to see someone from your generation teaching this skill. So many people now just subscribe to a meal delivery service. Way to go, girl!
I found you today, and honestly I never comment on RUclips videos. However, I wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your content! You are so soothing in such a busy space. As a mom and homemaker myself I appreciate that these recipes were a mixture of healthy, delicious, and family friendly. It is difficult to find realistic family meals that adults would love to eat as well!
I love how you always improvise -- "Just use whatever you have on hand," says the Connoisseur Cook! That is how I roll too. Living in the country, I don't always have everything on hand, so improvising is a way of life for me in cooking. Great looking meals and I really want to try the salmon and chicken dishes. Your beef steak tomatoes look scrumptious. I had to say farewell to my garden so I'll admire yours. "Pardon me, but do you have any Grey Poupon?" I always loved those commercials.
I am so happy to have found you "accidentally" tonight. I was determined to IF w keto. My second attempt actually. I am a foodie and believe your way of eating would be more doable for me wo extreme restrictions. I love sweet potatoes and fruit so now I can have them. Ill get back to you in a few months. Im excited w this new journey. Thank you!
Hi Jennifer, I make a few different meals using ingredients inside puff pastry. I usually cut a piece of parchment paper to size then prepare the parcel finally transferring paper and parcel to the baking dish. It takes the stress out of the whole move. Love your channel.
Oh, Jennifer, 100 K!!! Subscribers. Loved these meal ideas! Tonight I have some leftover pork carnita meat, already cooked. I’m going to break up the large pieces of meat, and make a sauce. I’ll roast an acorn squash and add a tossed salad. The sauced meat will be served over rewarded leftover noodles. Busy day but thanks to your ideas it will come together quickly and the leftovers don’t go to waste. So THANK you, Jennifer.
Jennifer, I do this with my kids and I notice you do too, which is to serve 'grown up' food for the entire family. I have long felt that kid 'foods' are generally bad for them: higher in sugar, salt and fat. Plus, I hate families are barraged with marketing, especially kid convenience foods. As I write this I remembered you lived in France and it is the same there. They serve family meals versus, making a meal for the kids and one for the parents. Not to mention homemade food is so much less expensive and the beautiful meals you serve look like very high end, 4 star type restaurants entrees, never mind the slight, knife snafu=)
Dear Jennifer, I just love your channel. Not only is the content good, but the way that you present things is so calming. I think you have a very wonderful gift. I think I've been able to make a few positive changes since I've been watching your channel, but honestly I feel a bit discouraged because it seems like I'm sort of fighting an uphill battle. I'm so aware that my time is divided between work and all of the things that I have to do to be a good employee in the nursing field which is very stressful and the work that I need to do at home to keep everything running smoothly. I used to handle this better because I didn't have to work 12-hour shifts before. I have all these great ideas about what I need to do and want to do when I get home, but my body and mind won't cooperate with me. I'm guilty of going to Costco and buying one or two of the prepared meals or ordering takeout about 2-3 days out of the week because I'm so exhausted when I get home. What's worse is the fact that I end up beating myself up for not being able to clean and cook as well as a lot of other women. I wish I could somehow stop feeling so stressed about everything and just take it all in stride. A friend of mine who works as a therapist said that almost every woman who comes to therapy is partially there because of problems with fatigue, time pressure and feeling guilty that she "hasn't got it all together." I know that no one is perfect, but I wish I were a better cook and just better at getting things done. I'm able to carry out my job responsibilities very well, but I can't manage to do that at home. Ugh!
Your meals look delicious, Jennifer. Thank you for inspiring us to use up leftovers snd to improvise! I am always improvising based on what we have in the pantry and fridge.
The salmon! 😋 I garden, but my yard is not big enough to grow winter squash. Now is the time to buy acorn, spaghetti squash, and butternut squash on sale. I buy a ton, put it in my basement pantry, and they last me until next spring. Seeing them on the shelves makes me happy!
As always, your meals and recipes are delightful! I struggle at times with feeding my children after a busy nursing shift. I’m lucky in that I tend to work family friendly hours and only 3 days a week. I tend to gravitate towards meals that can either be easily and quickly assembled after a busy day, or frozen and cooked or reheated for those nights. I make cottage pie and make one for that night and one to freeze, I cook up rice & diced veg flavoured with stock/boullion and freeze that in muffin pans as they are the perfect side dish serving size so we can pan fry some seasoned fish or chicken and have a ready made side. I take a leaf from my mother’s book on super crazy nights when my toddler is melting down, I’m exhausted and my child in grade three is having a moment... I defrost my rice & veg, make an omelet with ham and zucchini, plate that up and enjoy it with a glass of wine and just embrace the chaos. The kids have enjoyed making pizzas w v me lately (the dough is easy and fun to make), and I’ve embraced soups and pastas. As usual, you are an inspiration on joyful and mindful daily life.
Jennifer, I adore you and your channel! You have helped me to grow as a lady and inspired me so much as a homemaker. I recently made two of your recipes and they were both a hit with me family which was so nice because they don't all always enjoy new dishes. I hope you are having a lovely week! With love from southeast Texas, Amy
Ive been binge watching your channel. Just discovered you today. Absolutely delicious dinners and very similar to the type of food I eat. II am very familiar with IF , but stopped doing it because I was going for the one meal a day routine or the 20 hour fast. I ended up quitting. Now, my perspective is to do the 16/8 because it is so much more easier and fits better with my lifestyle. I recently had some blood work done and my cholesterol was high as well as my glucose. Plus, I need to lose weight so I’m back to IF but this time a more sensible and realistic approach I can stick to for the long haul. Thanks so much for the videos and a renewed approach to IF without the pressure of longer fast. It seems to me that small hinges swing big doors and I don’t need to be so restrictive with IF. I feel a heavy burden lifted and very encouraged to stick to the 16/8 IF. Thanks so much.
Congratulations on 100k, Jennifer! You've created a beautiful channel and I know you've worked so hard on it. I've been watching since 2013 and haven't missed a video since then!
I absolutely enjoy your dinner videos, so much inspiration to get in the kitchen and make wholesome meals for the family! I would love to see breakfast dishes like quiche, frittatas, etc. For a Sunday brunch! ❤️
Hi Jennifer, I always use lemon pepper on my chicken , I also use it in my crumbed chicken with garlic powder, onion powder and salt and pepper in with the bread crumbs. its yummy thanks for sharing your meals look yummy too .Cheers.😊💖👍
Your meals all look lovely 😋 Meal planning is one habit I have managed to establish and yes you're right it really does help so much 💗 Congratulations on reaching 100k 🎉
Jennifer, I'm not a talented enough cook to pull off some of your meals and that's why I'm so glad that you included a couple of meals that take very little cooking skill. Thank you! I like the idea of making a deli-type sandwich sometimes----certainly not every day. Also, the deluxe hamburger is great and I usually serve that about 2xs a month with a salad, fries and a hot vegetable. Now that the Fall season is here, I've been making Chili as well as Chicken pot pie soup. I try to serve the soups with a salad and toasted bread. One of these days I'll try making something harder!
I have never thought to use maple syrup in the squash! I think my family would love it. My family makes maple syrup in the spring (just for our own use) and so it would be a good way to use it outside of breakfast.
Enjoyed the meal planning videos even though I am a vegetarian. Can’t wait to make the acorn squash and cream of spinach. Jennifer you look very pretty in this video
The chicken dish really looked great. I think, for an added side, steamed cauliflower would be good, especially with the creamy sauce on top, and it’s low carb. I also liked the salmon dish and pomegranate salad with salmon. Thank you for the video.
I love these cooking videos! You make things look simple and delicious! Getting ready to try Marry Me Chicken tomorrow. Congratulations on your subscribers. You bring beauty to everyday💕
You've given me a couple great ideas for dinners that I can't wait to try! I appreciate your hard work & dedication. Wish I had access to this sort of channel when my kids were young - it would have been so encouraging. Sending warm regards!
Really looks delicious - both my husband and I are working from home (our children are now in different parts of Germany and the UK so its just us) so have more chance to cook together. Its a really good experience out of a bad situation, as I write Thomas is doing something with cabbage thats his speciality and he loves my curry I was raised in England. He is now trying baking and its good too. Bon appetit
I always love these Jennifer! Now I narrate to myself whenever I’m cooking 😂 Maybe I should start a channel. You certainly make it look easy (even though it’s not!)
Hi Jennifer! Oh my gosh, thank you SO much for these wonderful recipes!!!! (Or as Tasha Tudor would say, "receipts"!) :) I am always so grateful for your cooking videos! Also, your headband is darling! Take care!
I really enjoyed that you shared that you eat cheeseburgers or hot dogs at least once a week. Also, I have been looking for ideas about what to serve on busy days. I am going to try the subs and ribs ideas.
Oh, my goodness!! That salmon salad looks spectacular. Homerun, Jennifer!! (And I'm totally making that mushroom chicken. This time I mean it! Really, tummy, I promise!)
Hi Jennifer! Can you tell me where you found your wide metal spoon with the wooden handle? It looks really sturdy and useful. Thank you for meal inspiration ❤
Everything looks delicious! After living in England for a year, I still get a kick out of jacket potatoes. I would also love to make the salmon en croute and the acorn squash dish. As I am Korean-American, I would love to see you try Korean food. I am sure it will be a hit with your family. Bibimbap and bulgogi (among the ABC’s of Korean food), accompanied with, of course, kimchi, would be perfect for your family.
Your meals, and the way you present cooking them, make me feel like I can cook, too! Watching how you improvise has made me a little more confident in the kitchen. Thank you. And, you look really pretty in today’s video.
I made the Creamy Chicken last night and it turned out SO good! My husband even liked it! He is a picky eater so it can be difficult making new things. We both enjoyed the sauce so much, that next time I will make more sauce. We served it with rice. Thank you so much!
Super recipes.🍽 I recall visiting the states a while back and when I mentioned 'Jacket potatoes' it caused a great laugh! "Gee, can you imagine potatoes in little jackets? that's so cute" Over here in England puff pastry is available ready rolled and wrapped in baking paper which makes filling and lifting a breeze. Is that available to you? Cooking en croute on a metal baking sheet allows for a super crispy pastry top and bottom. Oh, well done for remaining so chic in that lovely bracelet-when I cook wearing one it dips into everything!
I love starting my day watching these cooking videos! I've never made clam chowder (though I love it!) and now I'm inspired to try give it a go. Thanks for the inspiration :)
Also I am wondering your thoughts about slimming. I noticed that you don't follow a specific diet plan. You include all the food groups including sugar and wheat. I know everyone is different but curious how you have slimmed down. Maybe the topic of a video?
Thank you for watching! I have listed the time stamps in the description and the library cards in the video if you need to come back to reference the recipes. I hope you enjoy this new meals of the week! All recipes are featured in my corresponding blogpost linked in the description as well. Love, Jennifer ♥️
I love it Jennifer! Such an inspiration! Thank you 💓
P.s I am meal planning because of you 💓 it’s enjoyable and tonight is marry me chicken xxx

Thank you, Mimi!
Agree this would be a great idea. Xx
Yes I think this would do really well! Recipes, tablescape ideas, meal planning tips, etc 😊
I was watching this with my toddler and she kept saying “mmmm” every time you showed the meals 🤤
Oh, that's so great!

How is your journey going Louann? Have you had success with this approach? It's so refreshing to see someone do IF without an extremists approach
Do you ever make a full English breakfast? That would be neat to see.
Hi Jennifer, I make a few different meals using ingredients inside puff pastry. I usually cut a piece of parchment paper to size then prepare the parcel finally transferring paper and parcel to the baking dish. It takes the stress out of the whole move. Love your channel.
That is such a good tip! Thank you!
ThankYou for the beautiful Salmon recipe Lady Jennifer 💝 The rustic clam chowder is a hit!

Yes, I can't make different meals for everyone in the family. Cooking is hard enough! haha
You're never lazy, practical I would say. :) DELICIOUS! I would love to try each of your recipes.
I LOVE your hair in this- parted, pulled back, with a headband. So chic!

I will definitely be trying the Salmon Croute dish. Looks amazing and I can only imagine the scent 😍

I always enjoy seeing your “What’s for Dinner” videos! I also appreciate hearing if it was a whole family hit or not. ☺️
I love love love this video. I love the length, the interesting dishes, the details, and your presentation! Thank you!!
Your salmon was big enough for a meal by itself. Yum!
Great recipes Jennifer....I’m making the salmon tonight. Always love these videos. Something calming about watching you cook ❤️
They all look really delicious. Lemon pepper is also great on steamed broccoli with butter.

Just made your ribs and potatoes- so good! I never thought to season the outside of the potatoes, now it is a must for me!
Looks delicious, all of them.
Haha! Yes, you should!
Looks like a Homer Laughlin plate! ❤️ with the Hamburger....

I will be trying the nutty squash with fish this week, as always thank you Jennifer.
Hi Jennifer! Oh my gosh, thank you SO much for these wonderful recipes!!!! (Or as Tasha Tudor would say, "receipts"!) :) I am always so grateful for your cooking videos! Also, your headband is darling! Take care!

Oh, my goodness!! That salmon salad looks spectacular. Homerun, Jennifer!! (And I'm totally making that mushroom chicken. This time I mean it! Really, tummy, I promise!)
Everything looks delicious, I really enjoy this WFD videos! Thanks again.
My little short cut for hamburgers is to use salsa. It has all of the main ingredients except lettuce.
Love your meal videos! The sandwiches looked delicious! 😍
Everything looked scrumptious! I really enjoyed these meal ideas, thanks Jennifer 😊
Every meal looks beautiful and delicious💕
You can make it (the salmon) less stressful by building it on a piece of parchment paper and setting it in an ungreased baking dish.
Gourmet cooking !! I'm yet to eat lunch and am salivating as i watch. Thanks for motivating us all. Stay safe and best wishes from Australia 🤗
100k! Congratulations 🎉🎈! I’ve been watching for many years.
Thank you, Paula!
Adding these recipes to my meal plan for the week. Can’t wait to try that Creamy Mushroom Chicken! You look lovely with the headband, by the way!
Hi Jennifer! Can you tell me where you found your wide metal spoon with the wooden handle? It looks really sturdy and useful. Thank you for meal inspiration ❤
Need to do some grocery shopping so glad to get this inspiration this AM!
You always make the most creative meals Jennifer! Thank you for the inspiration 🌹
Thank you, Nikki!
I would love to see how you make your creamed spinach, I’ve tried a few times but it never comes out the way I like.
Ms Jennifer, thank you so much for sharing.I always have admired your flatware.Do you mind sharing the name of it?💕
me watching this at 12:05 am... Now I'm hungry.
These meals look scrumptious! On a side note: what lipstick are you wearing in this video? It is lovely and suits you so well
Yes please Jennifer, tell us your lipstick brand/shade.
Thank you! I believe this is Hourglass achiever...
I wonder if you could make the salmon en croute with the squash mentioned, and a bit of added cream.
Thank you so much!
love these videos! Thank you! Yes, how well I remember grey poupon!! :)
This all looked delightful! Would it be possible for you to do a video about your breakfasts and lunches?
Everything looks lovely, thanks for sharing!

Cooking en croute on a metal baking sheet allows for a super crispy pastry top and bottom. Oh, well done for remaining so chic in that lovely bracelet-when I cook wearing one it dips into everything!
Where did you find such beautiful pot holders?
You look radiant in this video!
I love starting my day watching these cooking videos! I've never made clam chowder (though I love it!) and now I'm inspired to try give it a go. Thanks for the inspiration :)
Love your channel!
Many greetings from Germany 💝
Also I am wondering your thoughts about slimming. I noticed that you don't follow a specific diet plan. You include all the food groups including sugar and wheat. I know everyone is different but curious how you have slimmed down. Maybe the topic of a video?
