I drive a Punch EV LR and get about 240-250 km to 90% , already have done 24.5k km in 7th month running. The nexon 45 would have been perfect for me as I mostly do highways and need lot of mental calculations with my punch, also the Nexon EV 45 and Curve 55 launched a couple of months after I brought my Punch, both were in my budget and would have been much better for my usage. Punch is great except the highway range. good video! thanks for sharing
I drove to Ladakh from Pune and didn't turn off Climate control (Auto AC) even in sub zero conditions. Still got within 85-90% of the ARAI fuel economy of my Diesel car. If AC usage is having a noticeable impact on range (apparently it is or our dude wouldn't need to worry about turning it off), maybe Tata should be switching to a more efficient Heat Pump for heating the cabin in colder conditions.
That driver needs training.... My Nexon ev prime does 2.2 km per % of charge on the highway from 100 to 15 percent battery. My friends max does it better at 2.8 km per % of battery. This is with cruise speeds of 90 to 95 km on the highway and express way. And yes, we do not switch off the AC.. I can share my trip logs for a quick lesson in EV driving...
Also he left early morning. If he only went to mapro to hace strawberry cream what took him so long that he also got the sunset in mahabaleshwar only. It would have been a real time review with images of kms and battery before starting and after reaching the office again
I believe there is a charging station at Mapro garden. Why not use it while you are having food over there? This way you wouldn't have to switch the Ac off and also not have range anxiety.
Automotive Journalists must also run a disclaimer at the end of the video that the real range of an EV is subject to, in-cabin load, AC temperature, driving mode and battery regeneration, used, and lastly should also factor in the projections * if not driven in a specific mode. What ends up happening is journalists frequently red-line the car to get the feel, but in the process forget the rationale to get the actual driving range. Which leaves potential customers wary of biting the bullet to switching to EV even thought they maybe good.
Bro took a route which doesn't have traffic and said testing in real time use atleast 10 times 😂 Also he went on a Monday knowing it will be empty abd no stress 😂😂
You missed a point… when this new variant was introduced manufacturers were mandated to report MIDC part 1+part 2 as standard range… earlier it was just MIDC part 1… so the MIDC part 1 + part 2 range reported for 40.5 kWh variant is 390 and for this it’s 489 km… it’s almost 100km improvement
Would you do a road trip in an EV?
With friends maybe... with family NOPE...
already doing 450km monthly round trip in nexon ev 30kwh
did 35k km in 37months
been doing with family since 2020
Dude was sweating inside the car lol 🤣🤣
And said it got cold outside lol
Its not a real world test unfortunately. An electric car wont be able to make such tours on a single charge
@@shubhankarsse DDS has done 370km to zero
hilly consumes more range than flat ground.
@@7567_Rex how is that a good range? Electric cars can only be used in City.
@@shubhankarsse I have done 450km trips in 30kWh nexon EV
theres 12500+ chargers in india
if you are living under rock then thats not our problem

Glad to know you enjoyed watching it :)
Try driving pung on highway with regen 0 and sport mode, this increases range in my ioniq too
Why you didnt present the km covered along with battery used data
Nice ...Nexon EV -Perfect EV for India,
It looks dated so fast because BE6e

Even after such a great huge ride the car still has 58 kms range left thats definitely a great car 😍👍🏻
I am a big fan of tata but my experience was bad panel gaps, rusting issues, instrument cluster problem etc.

Price of this car
Prices for the Tata Nexon EV start at ₹12.49 lakh (ex-showroom)

Stay away from tata. Ev
. I use nexon max and the service and range are still been compromised.
mahabaleshwar to pune is completely free of battery usage. i did in my prime in just 40%. so to test 45kwh battery back this test doesnt seem cool.

Evs do not waste energy on idling like ICE cars, wouldn't matter much 😂
