Even with high taxes, auto sales are going through the roof. Imagine the situation if taxes are much lower, then cars need to travel one on top of another. So the taxes are in a way justified. Whether the taxes are being utilised properly is a different discussion altogether.
Where do u get ur data - check the SIAM data for car sales since 2016. We r struggling to achieve 2016 volumes - so 8-9 yrs of no growth. Wonder why all foreign companies are leaving the market and we r forced to buy only substandard (India only models) of Maruti and Hyundai
Great video, just a suggestion, when you displayed the tax percentage, instead of showing a car with shaded portion as tax, you could show money bundles and how much goes to car and how much to the government. Because we pay 6 lakh for the actual car and 3 lakh to government and not 9 lakh for car out of which government is 30 percent owner.
What ! ? Cars are much costlier in UK and USA if you use the official (irrational!) Exchange rate than in India, assuming local manufacture. Cess is % of GST, not of price? In the west, Corporations are greedy. In India, the Government is greedy.
We pay this taxes from the money we saved after paying income tax. And then pay road tax to drive on roads using fuel which is taxed again. And we drive these cars on potholed roads with autos owned by traffic police breaking rules and making dents on our cars. So who are smarter, car buyers or auto commuters?
Hereafter Ex showroom prices must be said without any taxes. So people understand the actual cost of the car and the actual cost charged by the manufacturer. So people can be aware of the taxes they pay. Or they can just put two figures out. One with and one without the tax. The current way its shown is misleading the consumers.
In India, it is just pay and smile 😃 If one thinks too much of costs, even food will be costly, forget eating in hotels, so just pay and smile.😂 But also better to know whom we pay before smiling 😃
Awesome video man. I am and was always against buying a car - not that I have one (can't even drive). The point being, I don't understand the value proposition and why am I shelling out so much money? If the product is worth 10 lacs, I might pay you extra for the taxes and the services etc. but paying more than 50% of the item's worth is bonkers. Try to make a video on jewellery as well. For a gold item worth 5000 rs., the gold is worth 3000 and rest of it is makig charge, taxes, gst, etc.
Not sure if cars are expensive in India . Then what about car prices in Europe and uk and India seems cheap ofcourse not talking about imported ones just the ones manufactured within India just like ones in Europe I just bought a creta top model in India and I was able to afford it new without debt / feeling pinched , but buying a European car in London for me new is crazy starting prices of decent entry level cars are £45000 which is like 50 lakhs just for the car, insurance costs etc are additional and crazy and then there is car thefts which needs more spending on trackers etc total cost of car to park it in my garage be about 55lakhs just in the first year which is crazy. Only in USA , canada and Saudi car prices are relatively cheaper rest of the world I would buy a car in India anyday than spending a fortune anywhere else

I think taxation on expensive cars are justified. If you can afford a luxury like a car in india and are willing to buy an expensive one to be pampered in then you have to pay for it. I am in middle class and cannot afford an expensive car, but i dont complain the tax system, i think it is completely justified. Tax is actually close to 100% if you calculate it based on the ex showroom price - the gst and cess
Not really 🤷
They are not giving BH series to save money
The content is great but i feel like the background music is a bit too high
I would prefer KEI cars to come here. Hope you know KEI right ?
Not really😅
What's that?
@@tbh-insights KEI is basically shorter cars. mostly KEI word is from Japan means shortening
Engine is also criteria you forgot
😅😅
Tax is becoming a headache. Ystrday i saw a poor lady give back 2 items in dmart bcoz bill had crossed 100rs more than before. It made me feel v sad fr her. Does th govmnt want poor ppl to die bcoz of taxes? 😔😔😠😠
🥲🥲
please make the background music louder
could almost hear what you were saying
🥲🥲 sorry sir 🙏🥹
Even with high taxes, auto sales are going through the roof. Imagine the situation if taxes are much lower, then cars need to travel one on top of another. So the taxes are in a way justified. Whether the taxes are being utilised properly is a different discussion altogether.
Where do u get ur data - check the SIAM data for car sales since 2016. We r struggling to achieve 2016 volumes - so 8-9 yrs of no growth. Wonder why all foreign companies are leaving the market and we r forced to buy only substandard (India only models) of Maruti and Hyundai
Cess difference between diesel and petrol too. 🤧 1.5L engine and above has higher tax. A diesel Xuv700 gives still more higher tax to the government.
Yes 🥲
I was surprised to see how expensive new cars have become when I visit India. I thought manufacturers were greedy.
😅😅
even after paying this amount of taxes the rods we get are just straight unusable

I like your suggestion, I'll keep that in mind for future videos!
Enlightening! But what's the way out bro
DON'T Buy a Car
What ! ? Cars are much costlier in UK and USA if you use the official (irrational!) Exchange rate than in India, assuming local manufacture. Cess is % of GST, not of price? In the west, Corporations are greedy. In India, the Government is greedy.
Because there's a commission is going to International brokers (politicians) on the name of Tax
What?? 😨
I have an Ignis which i had paid 7 lakhs on road, will keep it till it dies 😁 no thanks to paying useless tax to govt 🙏🏻
😅😅😅
Hey nice video, one suggestion. Reduce background music
Thank you!!
Yes sir, noted 🥲
We pay this taxes from the money we saved after paying income tax. And then pay road tax to drive on roads using fuel which is taxed again. And we drive these cars on potholed roads with autos owned by traffic police breaking rules and making dents on our cars. So who are smarter, car buyers or auto commuters?
😳😳😳
Thank you Modi ji,
If you do not want to pay more taxes, "Rod splendor" is the way to go. Uses less fuel, is less expensive, and travels to places it shouldn't.
🙆🙆 that's so sad....
That's a very bad mindset to have.
In life - one should always have the mindset to earn more, NOT the mindset to spend less🤷🤷🥹
That's true 🥲
In India, it is just pay and smile 😃
If one thinks too much of costs, even food will be costly, forget eating in hotels, so just pay and smile.😂
But also better to know whom we pay before smiling 😃
What?? 😦
Tax like Sweden facilities like Sudan
😅😅
We are paying 300% tax for cars in Sri Lanka😥😥
What??? 😲😲😲
True that 💯💯. I'll definitely make a video on jewellery. 🙏🙏
Tax on fule and toll gate chargers ?😂😂😂
Yup!!
Make video regarding QUADRICYCLES

Dont use music in background. If you still please make it only for background. music was overpowering your own sound as well.
Yes, we'll look into that right away 🙆😭
Not sure if cars are expensive in India . Then what about car prices in Europe and uk and India seems cheap ofcourse not talking about imported ones just the ones manufactured within India just like ones in Europe
I just bought a creta top model in India and I was able to afford it new without debt / feeling pinched , but buying a European car in London for me new is crazy starting prices of decent entry level cars are £45000 which is like 50 lakhs just for the car, insurance costs etc are additional and crazy and then there is car thefts which needs more spending on trackers etc total cost of car to park it in my garage be about 55lakhs just in the first year which is crazy.
Only in USA , canada and Saudi car prices are relatively cheaper rest of the world I would buy a car in India anyday than spending a fortune anywhere else
So basically we are born to pay tax.
Seems like it 🙆🥲
Also called tax terrorism where the citizens are treated as hens in the farm that keeps laying eggs, gets infrastructure terrorism and finally dies!
It's still cheaper in India to own a car... India s not even in top 25 expensive countries for car ownership...
Lol, that's only because - they have extremely high (average - yearly) fuel spends, Maintenance costs, and terrible depreciation....
Thik hi hai waise bhi 70 -80 % log ko tamiz nahi hai car chalane ki , car sasti nahi hai kam se kam kuch awara londe to afford nahi kar paa rahe .
Car is a necessity in today's world my friend - not a luxury
@@tbh-insights"These days, no matter what the world says, a car is a luxury item, not a necessity. A car is a status symbol and a source of comfort. Public transport can be called a necessity, but people don’t buy cars out of necessity. Otherwise, the TATA Nano would never have flopped."
I think taxation on expensive cars are justified. If you can afford a luxury like a car in india and are willing to buy an expensive one to be pampered in then you have to pay for it.
I am in middle class and cannot afford an expensive car, but i dont complain the tax system, i think it is completely justified.
If you just want a practical car with naviagaion and a/c you can get one around 6 lakhs, want to be pampered? You have to pay for it.
There are thousands of people who struggle to even have one meal a day in India, and you cannot go driving about in you a/c, massaging seat, sunroof car without paying for it.
I get where you're coming from 🙆..
Your idea of creating an economically equal society by exponentially taxing the rich to ensure that poor people can eat food isn't the best option.
But, even if we do consider that scenario - it isn't applicable to most of the cars (cars, like food and shelter, is an essential commodity in today's world). Most cars that can accommodate 5 people comfortably are >4m.
@@tbh-insights Cars are not an essential commodity in a world where public transport exists.
It is a luxury and convinence, and you have to pay for it.
Give a poor sensible man a choice between a home, food and a car, you will be surprised by the order in which he chooses the commodities.
There is no way you define luxury. Not everyone buy cars for personal comfort .
@@albertmuziq8024You're saying as if public transport exist in the country. Yes, people hanging in locals is not public transport infrastructure.
@@ankanmaiti9864 I dont see people hanging in 2nd ac or 1st ac.
People dont hang in cabs and ubers.
Im not asking you to take a bus or general Train ticket, there are public transport means where you can travel comfortably.
You are saying cars are expensive but in my home town nagercoil I saw new registered cars running in the streets every day ,I saw Totota Innova crysta,Hyundai Exter,Suzuki cats,Toyota cars,Mahindra Tar etc.,😊😊So the conclusion is a part of the population is rich and can afford buying luxury things if the price is even high than Market price😊😊
Not really, a major portion of cars are bought in debt. People sacrifice a lot of necessities in their life like (term insurance, emergency funds, healthcare) so that they can own a car 🤷🤷
We just cannot have good things, can we?
🥲🥲
Now you should go online to buy car.👍🏻
Good idea!
28% GST +
20% Cess (for vehicles longer than 4m) +
15% import duty (if vehicle is CKD).
* Road tax and registration, and tax on insurance extra
Yup 😰
Thanks for the informative video brother. You must be knowing the new update. The people's govt 😂 is planning for 35 % GST on few items like, Cool drinks, apparels, shoes and more
What?? 😮
Yes 38% on luxury items and some 28% something on cool drinks, jeans and other clothing 🙏🏻
