I for one would like to see you do a “how to weld sheet metal“ video. Sure, there are a few guys who have done them, but sometimes it’s better to see several examples and take the best from all of them. And you might share a trick that is just what someone might need.
Travis, I've been thinking about the problem you are having with the "40" and it all comes back to the conversion to 12V and also the fact that Ford in those days used Pos. ground. Case in point, I had a "51" Ford 2dr. when I was stationed in NC and it would start fine but wouldn't accelerate worth a damn. The fella I worked for part time put it on his engine analyzer and asked me if I had changed the battery, I said no and he said that the battery was backwards. We switched the cables around to make it Pos. ground and she took off like raped ape. I drove that car all the way across country to the other coast, and other than a little prob. with overheating and then 2nd gear decided to go south taking half of first and reverse with it. I nursed it to Othello, WA, where I had been stationed in married my wife, my father in-law located another trans and we swapped out the busted one and I drove it to Tillamook, OR, and I drove it back and forth to work on Mt. Hebo for about a year and then sold it.
I need to proof read these before i press comment. I meant to say, that I was NOT disappointed. See what hanging out with small garage videos does to me?
So I watched this because the geek over at Carter restyling spoke well of your work. I can say I was disappointed, perhaps I'll try another. Be well. Don't smoke it makes you smell funny.
