A friend of mine had an RS1800i on a 'K' plate about 20 years ago. Lovely thing! Only 493 made.
Poignant to have a Fiesta on the channel the week that the very last Fiesta ever came of the production line in Cologne. I used to work for Ford of Europe back in the day and was involved in the development of the Mark 3 Fiesta, so somewhat emotional for me.
The Dagenham motors numberplate surround is really the icing on the cake, just needs a Max Power sticker in the back.
Ford escort rs2000 mark5 running gear, interior,wheels,the whole lot from when u said guess in the comments not even watched the whole video yet and love it. Also to break that would be absolutely criminal,u would have to have a heart of stone to do that. That will go up and up in value.
These kind of vids are fantastic you used to do loads more like that glad they still pop up and you made a video out of it thanks.
I don't want to say what I think it's worth as not to put pressure on anyone making an offer but if I was closer I'd take it all day long . 👍
LOVE IT! - reminds me of Essex in the 90s - Rude boy Ford Fans in XR2i's and Turbo Fiesta's (I had a MK2 Granada 2.8iS) those was the days. I'd have a go with this for a alugh. Top work fellas as always!
What a really beautiful motor! Your going to get alot of people crying over this if they don't get it but I think what your doing is the right thing, once again, such a beautiful motor! Such a cheap price too, brilliant video, keep up the good work Rob and Chris... also 7/7/23 was the last day of production for the Fiesta as well so if you did take it to the auction, it will sell really fast and sell for exceptional money too

My first new car was a red 3dt 1.1 & wow did this bring back memories, I really hope someone buys & keeps this then enjoys it. Yes I get it's worth a shed load of cash in bits but when did you last see one as good as this! Nice one guys!!!

There has been a lot of work gone into that car, it would be a crime to break it. I'm sure you will get a very good price for it. It will be a car for an enthusiast. Although I couldn't hear the exhaust, you said you wouldn't want to go far in it. Big bore exhausts can be tiring, but this is the fun in classic car ownership . Keep these classics on the road. We did a tour of Wales recently, and a visit to The Shetland Motor Show last year in a 1968 Austin Cambridge and we live in Yorkshire. 350 miles back home in the day, man up lads!!

To break this car would be the most pointless thing ever and extremely agrivating. Only cars that are too far gone for the road should ever be broken, otherwise they should be sold, and this is a car that will easily sell for what you want for it… with how strong the Ford community is it will sell.
I agree someone will love and rebuild this car if it was scrap then part it out
The shell would save a fiesta turbo and the parts many other cars so it works both ways 👍
Not to mention the last ever fiesta rolled off the production line in cologne yesterday (Friday 7th July) 😢 sad day

Yesss I love MK3 Fiestas had 3, a 1.3 Ghia, 1.6 Ghia and an XR2i, now got a Puma 1.7 which was Fiesta based, be sad to see it broken for parts it's awesome!

That is a little stunner. I thought most early mk3 Fiesta's would have dissolved by now. I passed my test in a G reg diesel popular plus 33 years ago, so while I'm not a big Ford fan, these cars do hold a special place for me. 👍

Wow Rob and Chris that's lovely. I think you will be surprised what you will get offered for it especially now the fiesta has finished. Look at the meet with Mike brewer and Elvis for wheeler dealers. I have a mk4 fiesta ghia paid 2 k for it and got offered 3k straight away . You always sell great cars and if I didn't have so many I would bid you on it. Well done guys.

My Dad gave me one of these as my first car it had all the kit on it and had twin cams etc. If I had the cash I would buy it in seconds and travel the country for it. Brings back so many memories

Looks a fun little car. My stepmother had an RS1800 from new, bought at huge discount as in the early Nineties only middle aged ladies in rural Yorkshire could get insurance on them.

I used to have a feista rs turbo. 20 years ago when I was a boy , super chiped, hybrid turbo, 195 bhp still the fastest car iv ever drove till this day.look forward to this one
I just read an online article yesterday about Ford ending production of the Fiesta so even though the car is not standard I think someone will love it. You should easily get your money back and then some, even if you go to the Auction. There will be purists out there that hate it but they don't have the same vision as you two. Had an XR2 and an XR2i, got a big soft spot. The drone will always be there unfortunately, even with some stock exhausts. This was a nice clean one Rob, shame to break it. Glad it'll go complete to someone with a hot hatch passion.

That would of been a true insult to the man that built it, yeah 10 quids 10 quid how ever you earn it sometimes but I'm sure Chris wouldn't be happy if somebody did the same with a Viva he lovingly restored. My god this brings back a lot of memories of my grandads old radiant red fiesta popular he got from Quicks Ford on a 1990 H reg back in the day.

Beautiful little starter classic for someone and get straight into the show scene, plenty old skool Ford fans out there would be falling over themselves to get their hands on this one, most of them rotted away long ago or got killed by the dreaded scrappage scheme, to see one in this beautiful condition with all the subtle mods and in a desirable red colour should easily achieve the money

Wow that takes me back. I did exactly the same swap with a ‘93 1.1 HCS. Bought a written off RS1800 for £53 off eBay (before they were actually worth a lot) and did the swap over two weeks at my mates garage. Went like stink!

It's a clean car, well built. There is a bum for every seat, you would find a buyer for this as a whole no problem, no need to break it!

When I seen it I knew right away what was under the bonnet. Maybe could of had the name Popular Plus X! What great little car for it’s age & a great video given that production on the Ford Fiesta sadly ended yesterday which I think is a huge mistake by Ford.

That's definitely something different on the channel and a great example of the mighty Fiesta, especially now they've canned the model 😔 I think your plan is a good one as breaking that would be heart breaking given the work in it but as you say, you're there to make money and it's worth a few bob in parts alone. Had a 1.5D one exactly like this but with about 90% of the RS turbo parts. Shocks springs/boot bonnet/rear openers and all windows/ full interior/wheels but it was 50bhp 😂 my first car. Red mk3 1990
