Jopix CB413 CE MultiNorm CB Handheld - Overview & non-adjustment!

So, this is the same as the K-Po Panther & the discontinued President Randy II. It has it's foibles, but pertaining only to UK country selection. UK channels are fine, 4W etc. When selecting CEPT channels, the radio displays "AM" when in fact it's doing FM & neatly drops the power to 2W as it it's doing AM!
All I can say, is if you want to use CEPT channels (and I don't), then reset the country code to CE where they work normally.

Yes, it seems to tx on AM and rx on FM on the European frequencies. My panther is the same. I thought it was broken but decided to try it on eu and all works as it should, strange concept. The instructions say U.K. Is U.K. Only though so they know about it. Bought mine in january. Regards, Tim.

clearly a firmware issue. As I said, for those people who actually want to use CEPT channels, just reset it to CE & then it works properly. A poor show, but an easy & not too inconvenient fix.

Yep....poor show. Luckily I don't use CEPT, but at least I've identified a snag & people who DO want to use CEPT can reset the radio to CE channels & have it work properly but in CEPT AM & FM only....then reset the radio to UK channels when they want. There are sets with worse snags than that & the flagship PNI set is a firmware disaster. Wi didn't have these snags with the 27/81 sets.
