Very helpful, Morgan! Thank you! I already practice handstands and getting better each time. But still I’m far away from a propper handstand. 🙈 Your tips are really great! I will surely try them! :) Greetings from Germany!
I am so glad you started posting again! I have taken almost a year off of yoga/working out. It’s been a hard year of loss after my father passed away last October. My mother passed three years before. I am so ready to get back into yoga and my goal is doing a handstand! Thank you for this video! ❤️ from Louisville!
I’ve been saving this video for a time when I felt confident enough in my practice to begin handstands and today was my first day. Thanks so much for sharing these tips 💪🏼
Great ideas, really enjoyed your video Morgan! For people who starting out with handstands: Wall stand->Handstand (if you can't wall stand, do variations of push-ups to get stronger) And be gentle on yourself, progress takes time!
Eeep! Obvi, you do you BUT more videos if it does fall under things Morgan Tyler is wanting to do. 🙏😂 I love your instruction and personality. 💗 Thank you for sharing.
Amazing video! I have been practicing handstands since January of this year and I think I learned more from this video than I did from many others! I love the strength training aspect you added--so important! Please keep the videos coming alongside your ebooks!
Yahoooo thank you!! I have been working on getting my handstand but the journey has been all on my own. SO going to utilize all of the tips in this video
Love u so much, you are such an amazing example. I follow you on instagram and I'm going into a weight gain too, I'm afraid partially, but also feeling my best
Hey Morgan, great content in this video! Thank you. 🌿 Have you considered using a microphone for these kinds of vids? It's a bit hard to listen to it as the sound keeps breaking and making it hard to focus. I'm kind of sure you have one laying around. Anyhow, super informative and practical demonstration of the excercises so thanks once again. ☺️
Hey Morgan. First thing, u rock. Second, do u think its all about technique? Or is it sometimes about building strength first ? Anyone can handstand? Or should they first build the strength required?
MAGDALENE c. You could always start with a head stand (edit: you need to build strength to protect your neck for this) then forearm stand then handstand. I would say depending on how you get into the handstand you would want to build strength first but I use the wall in the meantime. Morgan will probably have a better answer!
i'm going to respectfully disagree with this. if you don't have the arm strenth to do a handstand, you definitely don't want to be doing a headstand, because your neck will compensate for the lack of arm strength and put you in a very dangerous position where you are standing on your head more than your forearms (which are meant to take the vast majority of your weight in a supported headstand).
I think strength and technique go hand in hand. You definitely want to build strength before just jumping into a handstand, which is why I have my Ab’Asanas guides on my website. But making sure you are creating that foundational strength with proper technique is key, especially for when you start to dive into inversions.
Emily Smith Great advice! I am in no way qualified but was thinking of the poses easier to get into. I’m guessing a handstand is safer to start out with then since you don’t have to worry about your neck? I always focus on pushing the elbows/arms into the floor to release any pressure from my head when doing a head stand so that makes sense. Thanks!
A million thanks babes! So i guess combination is key Morgan :) i can actually do a headstand but a handstand is plain impossible for me...i will just keep trying then :) :)
Morgan thanks for the video. And will you please help me find @yogaubrey in RUclips. It's been 1year of finding her. Then I thought I get find her via your video. Need help! Thank you😇
