      @@leastaction4240 Honestly, it really is. I've only started kinda playing with powerlifting rep ranges, got like a 180lb 1RM on OHP. The day I hit 225 lb for a 1RM I'll be very proud of myself. Fair play to you man!

      ​@Shon East why does doing more weight make a lift better? By that logic everyone would prefer deadlift over bench press. O also prefer ohp over bench bc its just a more fun lift. Harder movement, more impressive feat, and it makes me feel way more powerful than a bench press. Its like why do I gotta lay down yo show you Im strong, let me just lift this shit over my head.

      ​@@davidwirth1025 Deadlift is my favorite lift for this very reason. OHP is too technical and doesn't feel right for my shoulders. But heavy ass deadlifts do nothing to by spine or knees.

    Ohp is so fun. I started doing it because whenever I benched I got insane headaches so I just stuck with ohp and dips. Cant wait to get to 225 one day

    I began strength training late, 58. At 59 I got 135 up and couldn't believe it. Two plates is this years goal. We will see.

      @@McWhatevs I haven't pressed 225. I did press 190 last week after a work set of 3 sets with 177.5 for 3 reps. This week's goal is 200 for a single. By yr end I'm not sure where I'll be. Trainer at gym believes I can hit 2 plates by end of yr. We will see.

      @@toddk2737 nicely done. Whether you hit 225 is arbitrary really. As long as you're fit, healthy and strong and enjoying yourself. Started OHP two days ago, so at a grand total of 22.5kg, aiming for 80kg within 2 years

    That was amazing. Nothing short of amazing. How did you organize your sets and what percentage ranges did you mostly work on to build up to 225? At what body weights too? I’m honestly saying that this has encouraged me to push harder and achieve a 225 push press (not as impressive as what you are doing). That grind was awesome and I gotta kick my game up after this recent injury and I’m feeling good.

    I'm glad you put the belt on. I always put on the belt in my working sets, it really helps tremendously. I'm attempting 60kg OHP next week. Wish me luck 😄

      @@animesloversunited9069yeah man. I got the 60 kg OHP at bw of 70 kg. It took 5 secs to lock the weight up😅. I’m so happy since it’s one of my goals.
      Im here a year later still at 70kg but now I can do seated dumbbell OHP with 30 kg each side for 4 reps. Still some improvements 😊

    The first 225 attempt was brutal and funny at the same time when you literally didn't have anything left to rack it. 🤣
    But putting 90lbs on your OHP in a relatively short period of time is awesome. Congrats on the 225!

      315 without gear is prob going to be impossible for this guy (not like his numbers already are elite-like) This was already absolute monster lift. Average dude prob cant even press 90 lbs.

    Just got into working out and from only lifting the bar to hit pr of 45kg for 2 reps yesterday. My current goal is to hit 60kg/135lbs like your starting weight😂 great job dude💪

    Overhead press with full range of motion and heavy weights is no joke. Many people will not be able to overhead the bar it self. Mine is 60kg ohp and I hope it reaches 100kg.

    3 plate bench
    4 plate squat
    5 plate deadlift
    Out of this entire list the most difficult to achieve at least imo is the ohp. Kudos G.

    how the fuck did you do this in such a short amount of time, I've been in the gym for two (almost three) years and my OHP has literally moved only 20kg since I started (from 25kg to 45kg). I suffered a lot from inconsistency and bad diet but all my other compounds always progressed nicely whenever I fixed those issues, but never the OHP.

    If I weighed what he weighed I wouldn’t be able to hit that. That’s why decided to hop on the stuff. I took pounds of it everyday and It helped me grow a new layer of padding in between my skin and muscle. Works like a charm
