Laugh at? Who was laughing because who ever did is. A moron and doesn’t know shit about lifting. A 225 strict ohp is extremely impressive more so than a 315 bench press.
@Shon East why does doing more weight make a lift better? By that logic everyone would prefer deadlift over bench press. O also prefer ohp over bench bc its just a more fun lift. Harder movement, more impressive feat, and it makes me feel way more powerful than a bench press. Its like why do I gotta lay down yo show you Im strong, let me just lift this shit over my head.

That was amazing. Nothing short of amazing. How did you organize your sets and what percentage ranges did you mostly work on to build up to 225? At what body weights too? I’m honestly saying that this has encouraged me to push harder and achieve a 225 push press (not as impressive as what you are doing). That grind was awesome and I gotta kick my game up after this recent injury and I’m feeling good.
I'm glad you put the belt on. I always put on the belt in my working sets, it really helps tremendously. I'm attempting 60kg OHP next week. Wish me luck 😄
@@animesloversunited9069yeah man. I got the 60 kg OHP at bw of 70 kg. It took 5 secs to lock the weight up😅. I’m so happy since it’s one of my goals. Im here a year later still at 70kg but now I can do seated dumbbell OHP with 30 kg each side for 4 reps. Still some improvements 😊
The first 225 attempt was brutal and funny at the same time when you literally didn't have anything left to rack it. 🤣 But putting 90lbs on your OHP in a relatively short period of time is awesome. Congrats on the 225!
315 without gear is prob going to be impossible for this guy (not like his numbers already are elite-like) This was already absolute monster lift. Average dude prob cant even press 90 lbs.
Just got into working out and from only lifting the bar to hit pr of 45kg for 2 reps yesterday. My current goal is to hit 60kg/135lbs like your starting weight😂 great job dude💪

As another guy who can overhead press 225 +, this weight is definitely a significant achievement and even though this was two years ago and your 1RM is probably higher now, good job on getting 225.
@@SchwarzSchwertkampfer Similar here, I got lumbar spine disk herniation years ago, and it's getting worse. I took long rest but it seems the pain won't go away. I hope you get well soon👍
That was a brave and honest effort at 225. The determination to stick with it. I would have probably let it down sooner concerned about head rushing and fainting.
Overhead press with full range of motion and heavy weights is no joke. Many people will not be able to overhead the bar it self. Mine is 60kg ohp and I hope it reaches 100kg.
how the fuck did you do this in such a short amount of time, I've been in the gym for two (almost three) years and my OHP has literally moved only 20kg since I started (from 25kg to 45kg). Yeah! I remember as a young person, that 225 bench was a hardcore goal, 225 overhead press did not even come in my mind 😂
Dude that 225lb attempt was so grindy i thought u had it for sure
That was the worst grind I ever had!
Frrr I would’ve been so pissed if that was me lol
He did have it if his technique was slightly better cause of bar path. So close but that last one was smooth

Ohp is so fun. I started doing it because whenever I benched I got insane headaches so I just stuck with ohp and dips. Cant wait to get to 225 one day
I also do bench only as sub for ohp. Thanks bro😁
OhP & weighted dips best combo to get jacked upper body 🔥
