When I was in high school, I attended an annual choir camp in Berwick Nova Scotia. We performed this song there, and the feeling of singing it with that group was something I have never to experience again. I've looked for a choral recording of Woodsmoke and Oranges to reminisce over the (many) years, but this was the first time my periodic searching brought results. It was like being rocketed back to grade 12, singing with my peers in the pavilion. Somehow, this brought tears to my eyes today. Thank you, and fantastic job to these young performers.
I completely agree with you. I got to sing this song twice in high school and it seems so grounding listening back to it now obviously out of high school. It's nice to have something that can make you, as you said, just be there again with your friends as life keeps on moving forward. :)
this song still give me chills when i hear it. Cant believe it was 4 years ago when we sang this
This is one of my top 3 Ian Tamblyn tunes, and I've loved it for forty five years. Beauty rendition. Thank you for the delightful post 🙂
It is such a beautiful song to sing in choir

Love this song, thanks so much!!

This is absolutely wild. Is that the actor Lucas Hedges playing the drums at 1:13? If, not absolute doppleganger.
