In fact, the mind convinces you that everyone is better off without you. I hope you never lose someone close to you to suicide because it sucks in many many ways!!!

Such a sad ending to such a talented and generous man. What makes Chris Cornell's death even worse is that I'll always believe it played a role in Chester Bennington's suicide a few months later. If you were a fan of modern rock and alternative, it was a very sad time to lose two greats like Cornell and Bennington in just a few months.
"These included the painkillers Naloxone and Butalibital." Wroooong! Neither of those medications are painkillers. Naloxone is actually used to reverse opioid overdoses, and was administered by paramedics upon arrival in case he had overdosed on heroin or a different opioid. Butalibital is a barbiturate, which while not being a painkiller, is often prescribed for headaches. While this isn't the most egregious display of misinformation, it's disappointing given the journalistic nature of this youtube channel.
@Fred Wilpon there is evidence and facts. Maybe you should do your own research before commenting on something you clearly know nothing about. It will come to light..already has. But the masses will know on fact.
I remember when he died. I was listening to Soundgarden the previous night, all night. And something told me something was wrong, so I kept listening to Soundgarden. And when I saw the news of Chris’s death, I felt as if I somehow already knew it, but I was in so much shock and I was so upset, I couldn’t even cry. I was totally numb. RIP Chris Cornell, you will never be forgotten, your legacy will forever live on..
Dude same. I was crying for the longest. Took me a very long time to listen to his music again without crying. Still today. I get choked up about hearing his voice. Its even harder to cover his songs from soundgarden, temple of the dog and audioslave because when i sing it i want to cry.
I had a very similar feeling, except mine came the day of. I thought about Audioslave and listened the whole way home only to find out he had passed earlier that morning. I knew something was off the whole time I was listening.
Every time I hear a song with Chris singing on it I get both sad and happy, Sad that he has left us but happy we got to experience the legend that he was. R.I.P sir, you are missed! :(
Mental illness is tragic all on it's own. Substance addiction goes hand in hand with depression. Now he is free of whatever demons haunted him. How sad that society still views mental illness and substance addiction as something only to be talked about in private and to laugh at and ridicule in public. May he rest peacefully now. Thank you for this video. I hope it may help someone in need. Blessings.
He didnt die of substance abuse. He died of the doctor giving medicines that cause known interactions that are fatal too. He was taking medicine depression/anxiety and sleeping medicine for his anxiety. One of the fatal interactions are suicidal thoughts. 😢 This is why the cornell family are suing for wrongful death suit. That doctor needs to never practice again.

Cornell's death just kicked the shit outta me- reminded me of losing Shannon Hune- you just knew they both had so much more to offer us. I mean look at the material they left behind- I wanted more, tons and tons more. Blind Melon's Soup album was just beyond amazing. I mean after the first one I knew they were good but, they found their depth when they made Soup- and it was so much more than I expected. Same for Cornell's solo work- Euphoria Morning- this album just blew me away. I knew to expect something brilliant but, it went so far beyond any expectations I had it just shocked me. Proved to me Chris was much more complicated than I knew as well- he showed a side of himself and talent on that album I had never seen from him before. After that he was just like a god to me when it cam to music- I truly believe one of the best talents ever in the business.
I love and really appreciate how at the end of or nearing of a segment/ video where self harm is included, you all put the suicide prevention hotlines number. To someone that has struggled copiously with this, it means more than you could imagine.
It’s still such a shock to me 4 years later, despite lyrics or how dark they got he seemed to rise above it all. I got the impression he was at the happiest time of his life and I had been a MASSIVE fan since age 13. Just such a dark day that still bugs me, I know I never met him though saw SG many times live it felt like loosing a father figure
I was in a rehab in Cali when I heard the news of his passing. Ironically I was not an addict but had severe mental and emotional problems after I lost my family, business and home mostly due to supporting several family members who were addicts. Try telling that to a drug counselor. Chris's music had always hit home with me and the news added heavily to my feelings of defeat and not belonging in this world anymore. He was buried on my birthday and I stood on a balcony over a long drop down a mountain for a long time before not climbing over the railing.
To this day it's extremely hard to watch anything about Chris without tearing up. One of the best to ever do it everything he did was just so amazing. That iconic voice is all that's left to remember. I hope you have found your peace Chris. We all miss you so
Chris cornell is 1 of the greatest music artist of all time. His voice was able to hit 4 levels that most singers can only hit 1 or 2. He proved, how good he was and how devoted of a loving father to his kids. He is sorely missed and never forgotten ❤ But, what I dont get about the toxicology, is, I thought he took Ativan more than he should have, so if he didn't have more medications in his system, why would he be slurring and his movements during the show was not normal🤔🧐 I dont think nor believe he would just take his life. He loved his children and being with his family, making good music on his terms, helping to create a foundation to save lives... now I am not saying he was not depressed. Depression hits all kinds of people, famous and non famous, so I am not ruling out that depression had nothing to do with it, he dealt with depression for years but how can you take all those medications and not get screwed up? I am also not saying this was foul play but there are just some things that, dont seem quite normal, usual or add up. Like for instance, Ativan or Lorazepam is a dangerous drug and should only be used under supervision because it is so strong on having suicidal thoughts even though it is meant to help with anxiety and nerves of the brain, it is way too strong. And, I thought the bodyguard contacted management, having trouble with them getting his room open..... I dont know, maybe I am thinking too deep and personally I feel, that there is more to his death that meets the ears & eyes. I am sure we will never never know exactly what happened to Chris Cornell on that day & night but I just pray 🙏 that he knows he is loved, we remember him, what he stands for and that he can rest in peace and his kids can be able to continue to live the way he would have wanted them to. Making a difference, a change that will make him proud and them feel closer to him in their hearts & soul, along with all his Chris Cornell fans. He gave all of us, great songs that will stick with us for life and remind us, to always be thankful and be there for our loved ones and for the ones we never met, before we disappear, so we know he is the keeper by keeping the promise, doing what he would want & love. I never got the chance to see him live like my boyfriend has more than once - lucky boyfriend but Chris's music is a part of my soul now. Maybe 1 day, we all will get the chance to see him again and hopefully hear his angelic voice, play the strings and let us, be in peace, in the front row. Love you Chris ❤❤

Grunge couldn’t give a shit less about Cornell, or really anyone they make videos about. It’s revenue to them. Yet I still watch them lol. Gross.
It’s because they were talking about Temple of the dog right as they showed Eddie Vedder who also sung in Temple of the Dog, Is this a serious comment?
LOL got to say you're technically right , during that moment they are talkin about Chris , and showing Eddie, but hopefully it's just that they're showing the video from Hunger Strike and that just happens to be the Epic well-known visual from that video , Eddie , singing in a cornfield LMAO I had to check and see what you were talking about because I was confused LMFAO

For people with addiction and mental health issues in their past, can experience extreme paradoxical effects from benzodiazapines. It can cause extreme anxiety and uncontrolable emotions.
Johnny Cash was my neighbor as a boy. He was a really fun dude. I didn't even realize he was that famous until I was in my teens. RIP to both great men.
It is NO COINCIDENCE that the late Chris Cornell's life was taken a few short months before his good friend Chester Bennington of Linking Park. Both men singing lyrics of healing, only to be snuffed out later with the excuse of their depression used against them by sellouts close to them. These men were sacrificial murders. I don't care what you think of me.
Mental health is very difficult. I was very depressed and cut myself, played with drugs and starved myself. When I was a teen I loved listening to Soundgarden and especially Cornell’s voice. I was really sad when he had passed away. I’m 42 now and love Soundgarden as much as ever. RIP Mr. Chris Cornell. You are loved forever 😢
I have so many questions about his death.. I have seen so many conflicting reports. Why did the bodyguard wait for ems before doing cpr? You would have to believe if you are guarding a high profile artist he would know the basics of cpr..come on. Chris was definitely one of the greatest!
I don’t believe it was suicide. Everything surrounding his death seems fishy. Benzodiazepines don’t do what they supposedly did to Chris unless he had no tolerance or was given more than one extra pill. He had been on 2 benzos for over a year from what I understand. I feel like foul play was involved. But I’m no expert. RIP Chris, you’ll never be forgotten, your legacy will forever live on.
@@16voyeur hanging by doorknob...right after his good friend Chester Bennington took his life supposedly, both were working on a project together, then compare John Pedestos pic (emails with Hillary) and Chesters pic...then do more digging.
The video is not explaining this correctly. Chris was on medication to treat his depression which he had for years and anxiety. As well as sleeping medicine. The doctor knew that there was extremely dangerous/fatal interactions. Such as suicidal thoughts yet he still gave it to chris. This is why the cornell family is suing the doctor for wrongful death suit. That doctor should lose his license for killing chris. 😢 Also i think the bodyguard was following what ems told him on the phone. I cant remember.
I went to Fort Rock with my dad in Fort Meyers, Florida on April 30th 2017, where they were headlining after a terrible Perfect Circle show. Maynard's voice sounded awful and the band's mixing crew did a horrible job. And then Chris, Matt, Kim, and Ben took the stage and I was in awe with how they sounded. He died just a couple weeks later and I can't imagine having missed to that show. That show and Maiden Legacy of the Beast are the best shows I've ever been to
I was really fortunate enough to see him on one of his solo shows in 2017 I think… because a few years later, “Fort Rock” festival Sound Garden closed the 3 day festival on a Sunday night and opened with SpoonMan… We’ve lost so many gr8 artists He is one of them that we never know why or what happened…. However, he was one of the Greats and will be missed forever… RIP Chris… I still can’t believe it… My prayers goto his Family and Friends…

Quite agree with you. So many people loved him. And I get the impression that his uneasines on stage were not followed enough by his close cercle. It breaks my heart to think he died all alone. Of course, it's easy to think that afterwards.
@mariececile3973 worse yet, he was murdered dude, he & Chester Bennington were both "suicided" for speaking out against the Holly-wierd Chile zex traficking- (intentional mispell) The exact manner in which they were suicided, from a door or closet, is the Holly-wierd maphia's standard way to off people who "talked"- Robin Williams, David Carradine- & a list of about 25 recognizable Hollywood names- sad but true

HE WAS DRUGGED. RATHER POISONED BEFORE THE SHOW THEN WRAPPED UP IN A BOW FOR THE CORONER.
THEY JOKE ABOUT IT AT THE LODGE IM SURE.....
@@maureeng.obrien9259
Well, my brother wouldn’t have done this to his siblings and parents and children. Oh wait… he did!!!!! Mental illness is a bitch and it can cause you to do irrational things. The fact that he leaves his loved ones behind to take on the suffering doesn’t matter when his mind is telling him to just end the pain and take his own life. In fact, the mind convinces you that everyone is better off without you. I hope you never lose someone close to you to suicide because it sucks in many many ways!!!
@@maureeng.obrien9259 its way more likely he was relapsing and couldn't live with being a 50 year old junkie. It doesn't matter how other people see you if you see yourself as a piece of shit.

IT WAS SAID TO HAVE. CHESTER REALLY LOOKED UP TO CHRIS
"These included the painkillers Naloxone and Butalibital."
Wroooong!
Naloxone is Narcan.

I'll never believe he killed himself. Never😭💔
Same thing happened to me
I will never get over it. 💔
Me either Chris and I don't really even know him personally.
Love you Chris, thank you for everything, you’ll never be forgotten
My favorite vocalist ever, I was heart broken when I heard he died

I like Layne better, personally. But Cornell is for sure way way up there. And Superunknown might be the greatest album out of any 90s band.

Blessings.
@Murican Ignorance Perhaps because I suffer both.
@@thelilyfarrell I only made my comment because of the information offering hope for those with suicidal thoughts. Thank you for clarifying.

I'm sorry but I wish Chris could be left alone. He's contribution to music will never forgotten
His lyrics were dark for a reason Because the world is a dark place
I was in a rehab in Cali when I heard the news of his passing. Ironically I was not an addict but had severe mental and emotional problems after I lost my family, business and home mostly due to supporting several family members who were addicts. Try telling that to a drug counselor. Chris's music had always hit home with me and the news added heavily to my feelings of defeat and not belonging in this world anymore. He was buried on my birthday and I stood on a balcony over a long drop down a mountain for a long time before not climbing over the railing.
I hope you are doing well these days!

I think they had 3 albums out by then
And how can guys who aren't in famous bands form a supergroup? Answer, they can't.

Maybe. But she definitely didn't murdered him lol.

Can't believe you are really gone Chris. You are missed more than you could have ever imagined. RIP CC
Chris cornell is 1 of the greatest music artist of all time. His voice was able to hit 4 levels that most singers can only hit 1 or 2. He proved, how good he was and how devoted of a loving father to his kids. He is sorely missed and never forgotten ❤
But, what I dont get about the toxicology, is, I thought he took Ativan more than he should have, so if he didn't have more medications in his system, why would he be slurring and his movements during the show was not normal🤔🧐
I dont think nor believe he would just take his life.
I am sure we will never never know exactly what happened to Chris Cornell on that day & night but
I just pray 🙏 that he knows he is loved, we remember him, what he stands for and that he can rest in peace and his kids can be able to continue to live the way he would have wanted them to.

Hopefully Vicky Cornell lets Matt, Kim, and Ben get ahold of Chris' final vocal recordings so they can make that one last true Soundgarden album

Its not up to her. Shes not a bandmate of soundgarden. So thats why soundgarden is suing her cause chris and the rest of the band was in the middle of working on their new album until he passed. So yeah i hope the judge makes her give the recordings. That they were writing together
She claims that they're not giving her enough royalty payments. And she argues that they were for a solo project Chris was making

Scrolled down here looking for your comment. I have edited video for years and I've heard it said you can teach a monkey to edit. Looks like Bonzo worked on this one. No respect.
It’s Grunge. A cash grab channel that occasionally has something semi interesting to watch. You can’t expect much from a channel with writers/video editors who don’t know much of anything of the subjects they’re told to research.

What a legend!
Yes I agree with what you're saying they had information .

He had 9 broken ribs...9!!!!! At the time of his death...and blood all over the place... something doesn't add up
I don’t believe it was suicide.
I firmly believe he was murdered.
Also i think the bodyguard was following what ems told him on the phone. I cant remember.
is it just me but did they show Eddie Vedder instead of Chriss at 1:12 maybe by mistake?

Hello how are you doing today....
