I had to rip up my BadMotorFinger shirt at a junkyard like... 20+ years ago as a chrome bumper cut me up pretty good so I could bandage the wound and keep on picking through parts. My sock was full of dried blood at the end of that day.
That was the last time I wore a Soundgarden shirt, but I still have the album on tape in my summer car (which I was getting the parts for way back when) that I play occasionally.
      RIP Cornell.

"These included the painkillers Naloxone and Butalibital."
Wroooong! Neither of those medications are painkillers. Naloxone is actually used to reverse opioid overdoses, and was administered by paramedics upon arrival in case he had overdosed on heroin or a different opioid. Butalibital is a barbiturate, which while not being a painkiller, is often prescribed for headaches. While this isn't the most egregious display of misinformation, it's disappointing given the journalistic nature of this youtube channel.

Why? The bodyguard gave them, not administer them? Double dose can be interpreted in several ways.
Say his prescription said twice a day, morning and evening. And the bodyguard gave him the medicine for that evening and the following morning.
Also, the bodyguard probably testified to this himself, how else could we know?
The traces found in his blood were way too little to have caused death.
And he showed signs of extreme tiredness and mental instability earlier that night. Before taking that medicine, if he did.
You could blame the bodyguard for not staying with him. Or calling a doctor to check on Chris, after that alarming performance.

Chris cornell is 1 of the greatest music artist of all time. His voice was able to hit 4 levels that most singers can only hit 1 or 2. He proved, how good he was and how devoted of a loving father to his kids. He is sorely missed and never forgotten ❤
But, what I dont get about the toxicology, is, I thought he took Ativan more than he should have, so if he didn't have more medications in his system, why would he be slurring and his movements during the show was not normal🤔🧐
I dont think nor believe he would just take his life. He loved his children and being with his family, making good music on his terms, helping to create a foundation to save lives... now I am not saying he was not depressed. Depression hits all kinds of people, famous and non famous, so I am not ruling out that depression had nothing to do with it, he dealt with depression for years but how can you take all those medications and not get screwed up? I am also not saying this was foul play but there are just some things that, dont seem quite normal, usual or add up. Like for instance, Ativan or Lorazepam is a dangerous drug and should only be used under supervision because it is so strong on having suicidal thoughts even though it is meant to help with anxiety and nerves of the brain, it is way too strong.
And, I thought the bodyguard contacted management, having trouble with them getting his room open..... I dont know, maybe I am thinking too deep and personally I feel, that there is more to his death that meets the ears & eyes.
I am sure we will never never know exactly what happened to Chris Cornell on that day & night but
I just pray 🙏 that he knows he is loved, we remember him, what he stands for and that he can rest in peace and his kids can be able to continue to live the way he would have wanted them to. Making a difference, a change that will make him proud and them feel closer to him in their hearts & soul, along with all his Chris Cornell fans.
He gave all of us, great songs that will stick with us for life and remind us, to always be thankful and be there for our loved ones and for the ones we never met, before we disappear, so we know he is the keeper by keeping the promise, doing what he would want & love.
I never got the chance to see him live like my boyfriend has more than once - lucky boyfriend but Chris's music is a part of my soul now. Maybe 1 day, we all will get the chance to see him again and hopefully hear his angelic voice, play the strings and let us, be in peace, in the front row. Love you Chris ❤❤

Cornell's death just kicked the shit outta me- reminded me of losing Shannon Hune- you just knew they both had so much more to offer us. I mean look at the material they left behind- I wanted more, tons and tons more. Blind Melon's Soup album was just beyond amazing. I mean after the first one I knew they were good but, they found their depth when they made Soup- and it was so much more than I expected. Same for Cornell's solo work- Euphoria Morning- this album just blew me away. I knew to expect something brilliant but, it went so far beyond any expectations I had it just shocked me. Proved to me Chris was much more complicated than I knew as well- he showed a side of himself and talent on that album I had never seen from him before. Was flying back to Seattle after being gone for about a decade and had all the good memories flooding back. Was listening to Temple of the Dog on my headsets as we flew over Washington State. Woke up the next morning to see the news the Chris Cornell had past. Couldn’t believe it.

It’s still such a shock to me 4 years later, despite lyrics or how dark they got he seemed to rise above it all. I got the impression he was at the happiest time of his life and I had been a MASSIVE fan since age 13. Just such a dark day that still bugs me, I know I never met him though saw SG many times live it felt like loosing a father figure

Sadly many half-truths here if you want honesty it's not here.
Chris was a human being with a beautiful soul and an angelic voice.
Soundgarden was not grunge, grunge is a package good to be sold as a commodity.
Unfortunately, like many artists, he allowed people in his life that would see him to his demise.
The truth matters follow people's actions after the facts and the story will tell itself.

On a side note, the quality of information imparted by this channel is worse than fox News. Since when is Nalaxone a commonly used painkiller?

I was in a rehab in Cali when I heard the news of his passing. Ironically I was not an addict but had severe mental and emotional problems after I lost my family, business and home mostly due to supporting several family members who were addicts. Try telling that to a drug counselor. Chris's music had always hit home with me and the news added heavily to my feelings of defeat and not belonging in this world anymore. He was buried on my birthday and I stood on a balcony over a long drop down a mountain for a long time before not climbing over the railing.

Many of these artist and normal people hit a stage where the little voice says, "I am not worth it, I am not contributing or I have not purpose." It can be loud and deafening to the point they believe that voice. They hide it with a smile because they don't want to have to burden anyone with their pain, confusion, non curable illness and loss of desires that they think no one will understand. Thing is there are many, not some, many who do understand but that demon called depression is a beast that overpowers your thoughts. I can say fight and that is cliche but is a remedy to live to the next day. One more day at a time, each time.

I agree, and think he was struggling through a personal crisis of confidence such as you described .
Not too dissimilar to how James Hetfield expressed himself on stage earlier this year, not even being a ‘rock god’ can make you immune to life’s struggles, depression and feelings of unworthiness…….
It’s very very sad that his last performance was not good, clearly something wasn’t right. His eyes seemed glazed and he appeared disoriented and kinda sloppy and not properly present. It’s hard to watch and see him struggle and stumble, definitely way off his usual outstanding performances. He almost had a idgaf, defeated, almost haunted aura about him and pain in his eyes and it seems in his soul that night.
So tragic and heartbreaking, I hope he found the peace he always seemed to be seeking RIP CC 😇
