thanks for the video. just bought r8000 chain rings and the shop told me I couldn't put them on my 6800 crank. had I not watched this video I would have just accepted their assessment.

I fitted 9100 rings to a 6800 crank a while back. I've fitted doval rings to 9100 cranks too

I put 6800 rings on a 5800 crank, it worked, but aesthetics not quite right. Then after a while it started to creak, remove, regrease and it's better, for a while, then creaks again.

I'm assuming this would apply to r7000 105 chainrings onto a 6800 arm? You know they just chains the rings slightly so you have to buy more things from them!

I am wondering for the fc 8000 chainring bolt caps If I can replace a lost on with a normal chainring bolt, not sure.

I am still on old 6700 on my Specialized Roubaix 2011. Now thinking about upgrade. Should I go for R7000 or R8000? Or 6800? No idea...
Even no idea why would I do so? 11 speed? For sure DI2 will not fit into this frame.
Any idea? Thx

Yes they will work with the 5800, 6800 or 9000 front derailleur!
