- 361 is a brand that I’ve seen at race expos for a few years, but I’ve never had a chance to try any of their shoes. Until now. This is the 361 Eleos, and it’s time to take it for a run.

I can't believe that the cheaper 361 options aren't available in the US website. Here is Asia, we have an alternative for the Vaporfly line up for less than half the price. It's called 361 flame. Full carbon plate as well.
I was sponsored by 361° from 2017 to 2020, their shoes have come a long way and only getting better! Their racing shoe, the Furious Futura 1.5 is actually extremely competitive in the carbon plated world.
Once again, great review. Loved the scenic footage at the end there 👌
thanks!
WOW, thank you Kofuzi. As a long-time subscriber and fan, I never imagined that you would review 361. I've been using 361 for 3 years now. I own Flame 2, 3, ST, and Furious Future. All are excellent shoes. I hope you have the opportunity to review Furious Future, as it is currently available on the USA site.
I also hope that 361 will release the Flame 3 and their other affordable plated shoes in the West.
Never heard of 361! Appreciate seeing the review as always, Mike.
So glad my man started reviewing some of the Chinese running shoes. They’ve been improving massively for the last couple of years and have become just as good. But runners in the west simply lack info and access to them yet.
361 flame v2 owner here. Great value for money 👍
Love this review! As someone from south east asia, I've been hearing about 361 degrees for a while now but have been very skeptical to buy them - and this review kinda removed some of that skepticism! Would be nice if you could review their daily trainers like the centauri.
I was very impressed with the Eleos. I think it’s the sleeper hit for 2024. I’ve taken it on workouts, base runs, and more than one 20-miler, and the midsole response holds up from first step to last step. Also the most set-it-and-forget it lockdown I’ve had if any of the shoes I’ve tested this year. Amazing value for $145 USD.
If you like the 361º Eleos, I am sure you will love the 361° Futura as well.
It is a excellent trail running shoes with durable vibram Megagrip outsole. The midsole is energetic and bouncy which is great for Road-to-Trail run.
in the asian market, they have several running models such as: flame 3.0, biospeed 3.0 pro, flame et, biospeed future, furious future, carbonstride, fast wind, etc.
however, there are only few english reviews
the 361 shoe that you'd hopefully review next would be the flame 3.0, biospeed 3.0, biospeed future, and flame et (if they are all available in your market)
great reviews as always. thank you
I generally limit my reviews to shoes that are available in the US. I'll see what I can find
Pls review 361 Flame 3.0
I purchased the original 361 Flame around the time of it's release and it is a great and quick tempo shoe. I also purchased the Futura after trying them on a short trail run when at a 361 event at a local store where I also tried the Flame v2. The Futura is a nice road to trail cruiser) if the trails are fairly dry and not overly technical, although I have been wearing my Futura as a street shoe as it is the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn for long days on your feet. Think that they will last a long time and be great walking shoes in all conditions due to the fairly chunky and grippy Vibram soles.
The Flame 3 or Furious Future could be worth trying and the Centauri 2 (as I have heard good things about the original Centauri).
361 shoes, for both road and trail, sell really well here in The Complete Runner UK and we get zero returns! The quality is unbreatable. We're waiting for new swason's shoes coming in later this month. A much antipated support mdel, the Phoenix, new Meraki 6 (neutral) Centauri 2 and on the trail a WP version of the Futura and Lynx. However our UK offering does not include this Eleos which after further investigation may be a UK shoe rebranded.
That's the thing as well with Chinese brands. I can only understand English reviews, but shoes are sold under their Chinese names in my country. It's a bunch of work to figure out what shoe models are the same when the western and Chinese names tend to be different.
You should try the 361° Flame 3.0 they say its like the Vaporfly 😅
Popular Chinese brands such as Li-Ning, Xtep, Anta, 361, Peak, QiaoDan, Bmai, Do-win, etc, their running shoes have made significant advancements in recent years while still maintaining reasonable prices. Although they may not have surpassed the renowned brands just yet, considering their relatively new presence, their quality has improved to the point where they offer nearly 90% of the performance at only a fraction of the price.
The frustrating thing with them though is that it's IMPOSSIBLE to find reviews for their products. If you live in a country like mine where returns and refunds aren't really a thing, buying shoes with no reviews is incredibly risky.
At least they're now more available in brick and mortar stores. As a wide footer, I was pleasantly surprised how well they fit me. I was even able to size down.
Feidian Ultra 4 costs 320€ or 499$ is not really reasonable...
But I love mine
@@spartanB0292 Chinese brands do shoes for chinese people - especially Xteps promotes that often, chinese people often have a kind low arch, western people with wide feet usually have a low arch too.
The chinese brands indeed have the best fits for me.
Qiaodan Plaid is another awesome shoe too which I believe none of the reviewers are ready to do a review for obvious reason.
Hint: Alphafly
Anta G21 Pro here! 💪🏼
Have the 361 Flame and love it for Marathon races… there should be a new generation released. So that could be your next 361 review…
LOL 0:30 I thought you were about to start singing
True, so funny 😂
Great review. I hope you could also review their Flame 3.0 which is comparable to Nike Vaporfly.
+1
Love that generation of FuelCell, so soft and pleasant. Though super soft foams like that don't last very long so I'm interested in how these fare after 200 miles
Ha! I totally predicted the comparison with the Nimbus as soon as you stated the weight. Not my type of shoe. I disfavor the entire max cush genre and prefer lighter, faster ones even for recovery such as NB3/NB4 and Cloudsurfer 7 (my fave). Still. Orange and grey is one of my favorite color combos. I agree it'd make a great pair of streets.
Idol What's up? ,The 361 Brand here in the Philippines its getting famous little by little..i didn't comment much but im still watching your video everyday Take care brother.
thanks for watching!
The flame 3.0 is a pretty cheap racing shoe that's popular here where I live, hoping you could review the shoe
Seems like the Eleos is a 361 US only release, because I can't find anything about it on the shopping sites in Southeast Asia. Even messaged one of the two 361 locations in my country, they didn't seem to understand what I was talking about.
If it does ever release here at the US SRP, it would be incredibly expensive compared to their other models.
Anyway, it's eerie how similiar it looks to the Nimbus 25.
It's also not coming to Europe. Talked to the customer service.
Flame 3.0
Hope you can review 361 Flame 3.0. I ordered it online as it is not available in my country; got it for around USD$90 after discounts.
I hope you can review 361 degrees Flame 3.0. 😊
Hey Kofuzi, I know this is a whole different type of shoe, but have you heard anything about the when the Hoka Bondi 9 might release? I can't find anything anywhere on it, and the Bondi 8 has been out since the summer of 2022, so they are due to release the new version soon
i loveeeee anta g21 pro 2 it does everything for me. Cushion i can use speed bit
Thanks Kofuzi. Here is my Like. I prefer Saucony, Asics, NB, Adidas, Mizuno, Brooks. Have a good day.
I have been a fan of Asics and Mizuno running shoes for decade. However, I can't bear the fact that they keep raising the prices for no reason. Despite moving their factory to Vietnam and significantly reducing production costs, they continue to increase the prices. This is truly greedy.
That's why I started to take a look at Chinese brands of running shoes. Chinese brands used to be considered crap in the past, but they have shown significant improvement in recent years. Last year, I bought a pair of Xtep shoes, and this year, I have already purchased Li-Ning and Anta running shoes. I wouldn't say they are better than my favorite Asics/Mizuno yet, but the cost/performance ratio is way better. They offer 90%+ performance at only 1/3 of the price.
@@Cutieplus . Hi. Thank you for this information. I don´t see many chinese brand in Spain.
please review their carbon shoe, the Flame 3
Will there be a review on the Brooks Hyperion 2?
361 Flame 3.0
please review the flame or biospeed line
Any mention of this compared to NB Fresh Foam X More v4/v5?
I hear you mention it's a good max cushion but doesn't seem to be visible in any comparisons.
my comparisons are not meant to be exhaustive.
the Eleos is different than the More v4 in many of the same ways that the Nimbus and Cloudeclipse are different than the Move v4
That's because On Shoes are basically aimed at the casual user. #controversial would also be curious to see a review on the Li-Ning Feidian 4 Ultra as well (although appreciate most of the review would be taken up by saying the shoe's name twice)
361 flame 3
I love 361 running shoes not because they are the best but because they have really good price to value. That’s why I am kind of surprised at how much more expensive they are in the US than in China. Having said that though, I still highly recommend them. And please give the Furious Future 1.5 a try. Many said it gives a similar experience as the Adizero Pro but at a more affordable price.
After this please review 361° Flame 3.0
i second this. i just got my flame 3.0 the other day and havent run with it yet but its definitely comparable to vaporflys already
u should review their carbon plated shoe. the 361 flame 3
Why do I feel like this is a gel nimbus with zoomx foam geared towards easy/daily mileage
Review the flame 3.0 or the fierce 3.0 next
Hi kofuzi, i currently have the endorphin speed 4, rebel v4, salomon hypulse for trail and winflos for recovery in rotation.. I need recommendation for a wider speed trainer the speed 4 is great but my pinky rubs against the uper and burns up after 3-4 k rebels are a perfect but they are not for tempo runs cause of the softness..
Also tried the boston 12 in the store. They didnt fit, even going up 2 sizes
Please try Flame 3.0!
How is it compared to NB More V4?
Looks like a Brooks shoe, which isn't a bad thing.
Try 361 Flame 3.0 or Furious Future 1.5 you won't regret it😊
361 flame 3.0 bro
that heel outsole is screaming achilles issues for me. So many shoes these days have this plague of uneven heel support in the outsole and I have had so many achilles issues because of it.
Bold assumption. I was think it’s a weakness in your Achilles more than just some shaping of an outsole 😂
@@jazzyjay4595 Trail and hill running puts your achilles through more stress than road running, I have put several hundred miles in Hoka Speedgoat and Hoka Clifton and never had these issues. The pain I get around achilles insertion to the heel bone is due to poor / uneven heel support. So it is not an assumption.
@@WiseGuyFTW what is it that you’re referring to as “uneven heel support”? The shoe having a slight bevel to the outside of the heel? Or the heel cup? Neither one of those should matter for putting strain on the achilles
Glideride 3 vibes all over it or am i wrong?
hmmmm. interesting
That is exactly where I thought he was going with the first comparison...
361 flame 3.0. Mostly Accessible in asian countries.
Do you think the initial squish is a sensation is from some of the Ortholite insole? How thick is the Ortholite?
it's too much for it to be the ortholite
a Chinese brand,interesting😄
The Chinese have such a long, sordid history of buying reviews that I was also a bit surprised Mr. Fuzi would risk his reputation reviewing one -- even with full disclosure.
@@laalaa99stl AFAIK, 361 in the US is highly independent from 361 in China. I don't doubt at all that the 361 in China buys reviews, but I'm pretty sure they don't even know that Kofuzi exists.
@@laalaa99stlblind accusation, can you name one instance of “buying reviews”. China holds thousands of road races with over million finishers, most of them wear brands you’ve never heard of.
Ironically, Hoka Adidas Saucony have all given shoes away for promotion in China, not to influencers but users once they gain a certain amount of likes on socials such as WeChat.
Can.u review the 361 flame 3.0 carbon plate?.. cuz many filipino people or some other people looking for the cheaper price but yet its affordable value kind of carbon plated shoe for marathon run..thank you 🫶🏻
This one seems decent , BUT I'll NEVER spend my money on those Chinese freaks, such as Lining, Qiandan, Xtep, Anta... Why? Coz every one of them don't give a heck about the true passion of development, once the real one comes up with something brilliant, they just copy it then price it 70% as real ones, fck up the market, collecting money then put on some other crazy business. I'll always stand with those brands with credit that I can spot in real dope marathon races or Diamond League stadiums.
Not sure what on earth you are talking about.....Li-Ning and Anta are doing some of the most innovative stuff in basketball shoes. Especially design wise.
Li-ning Wade stuff is pre good actually so idk what you're talking about
I would say the Chinese brands do innovate, but they are rarely the brand to "invent" something. (some may argue the Li-ning basketball the carbon plate infuse with boom bla bla bla. But the Boom, aka boost, is from Germany BASF and adidas implement it first in a great shoes call EnergyBoost, and tbh, those carbon "infusion" is still just carbon plate in between midsole with adjustment of size and position, just extra steps but not really very new invention imo). But credit to chinese brands is that even they kinda copy overseas brands but they excel on improving the stuff based on the blueprint (or from what they copy) they got. And the pricing issue is in some extent because of internal economy problem in China, so they seem extra cheap. Personally, i have great respect on what chinese brands are doing but i don't buy stuffs from Chinese brands because of other reasons.
361 released the Miro Nude which weight only 110 grams. Lighter than Adidas Pro Evo 1. Your argument is invalid.
Removing more weight vs adidas only....is this a "new" invention? Not to mention the one you mention have way less stack of foam vs adidas, and the IDEA of this kind of extreme light racing shoes was released by adidas last year September, the one you mention is released recently. What i saw is the other Chinese brands followed what Adidas is doing only. But credit to 361 to try to beat the weight.
