The cane is doing exactly what Ammit's task in Egyptian Mythology was - it judges people and decide whether their good actions outweigh their bad ones, or vice versa.
Actually Anubis puts the heart on a scale together with the feather of truth. If the heart is heavier then Ammit/Amut eats it. She doesn't actually do the judging but I suppose they just changed it for the comics and show
@@jager3090 For what it is as a TV show, it is...decent. Passable. They do things with the character that piss me off to no end, and they don't do things that are integral to Moon Knight. As a fan of the character, all I'll say is thank god I have the comics LOL. The best way I can describe it as a fan of the character looking at other fan reactions is disappointment, because I know the ins and outs and all of the cool shit they could have possibly done, but didn't do. Like they robbed the audience. Khonshu was awesome though. So happy he was done the way he was.
Alright so as someone who has been fully awake and has had multiple night terrors, visions and hallucinations I want to explain and point out how accurate that whole last scene was. There's sometimes that i've seen things similar if not worse than what Marc experienced at the end. For example the very first time i had a night terror I saw different reoccurring characters and themes but all the "characters" were taking on the appearance of all of my family members that have passed and my entire surroundings looked different for me. The portrayal of those issues in this show is something I've never seen accurately portrayed anywhere else before.
Arthur Harrow saying "there's chaos in you" could be pretty important because in the Egyptian mythology chaos takes the form of a snake that is the forever enemy of Amun Ra (the sun God and keeper of order, the opposite of chaos). Another fun fact, you know how Wakanda's god is Bast? She comes from the Egyptian goddess of cats, Bastet. She also keeps chaos at bay and is caught fighting with it forever and ever. That might come into play later in the mcu idk

There's actually a reason for why he orders a well-done steak. He doesn't eat steak, atleast when he's Steven, since he's vegan, so he doesn't know how to order one.
he doesn't order a well done steak he just says good, the waiter does for him. which makes no sense putting in an order for a well done steak as the restaurant closes. That waiter is getting chewed out by the chefs/cooks.

Had he been experienced with steaks or had he not been a vegan, he'd correct that order, but instead he repeats "best bit" and "good". I guess the waiter was playing it safe by offering well-done when he realized Steven isn't really a steak guy. Probably didn't want to get a complaint about it being "bloody" or "raw."

This is the one I've been waiting for for so, so many years. Moon Knight has been one of my absolute favourites since I was a kid (so we're talking four decades now). He takes up a quarter of my back tattoo (alongside Iron Fist and Cloak & Dagger), so this one's been a long time coming. There's been quite a few changes to the comic lore, although so far a fair amount of it has been an improvement in some ways as it's long, convoluted and a bit confusing with past retcons. It'll be interesting to see where the rest of the season goes and if certain characters get brought in, or if they're gonna keep it streamlined for simplicity's sake.
@@jager3090 bit so-so, to be honest. There's a lot to like, but also some baffling creative choices and it suffers from some serious pacing issues that ALL the MCU D+ shows have had (Ms Marvel being the current exception - we will find out for sure next week). I wasn't *disappointed*, but it felt like there were a few missed opportunities there. But that could just be longterm fan baggage that other people aren't carrying.

Just so you know there was a article on a official Marvel or Disney site a few days ago that was talking about the Netflix shows and at the end it confirms they are set in the MCU but then a few hours later that part of the article was deleted so who knows what that means. Also I saw that you have seen the second episode already so something that is mentioned in both episodes is that Marc has died before, in this episode the little girl says "did it suck for you? Getting rejected from the Field of Reeds." And then in episode 2 Khonshu says Marc was nothing more than a corpse when he found him, so my question is who the hell is that little girl
@Kevin Thompson more likely someone with dominion over the dead like Anubis or Osiris but Isis is 100% possible. I think its safe to say that she is the Avatar of a god or goddess
@Kevin Thompson maybe. Though thinking about it now its probably Hathor she was shown in I think 1 of the books Steven was reading about the Ennead which would be weird except that in some of the legends she is the wife of Khonshu
