Moon Knight 1x5: This episode was absolutely incredible. The Black Panther reference was a delightful addition that I thoroughly enjoyed. Furthermore, incorporating psychological horror into the series was a brilliant touch. I couldn't help but feel the urge to give Marc Spector a comforting hug while watching this episode. Additionally, the interaction between Marc and Steven with Taweret was genuinely captivating. Taweret's performance in this episode was outstanding. On the other hand, Marc's mom portrayed a cold-hearted snake character flawlessly. Lastly, Steven's humorous comparison of Arthur Harrow to Ned Flanders had me laughing out loud. The visuals in this series are truly top-notch, and the casting of Oscar Issac as Moon Knight was absolutely perfect.
Each episode is based on a different comics run from throughout the history of the character. This particular episode was based on a six issue story where he questions whether Khonshu is real and he's just insane... Also, Bhast (sp), the god from Black Panther, is part of the same pantheon as Khonshu. This makes BP an Avatar ike Marc/Steven
@@markrogers6601 I've been a Moon Knight and Black Panther fan since 1993 and 1995, respectively. Did you miss my comment regarding 1x6 for Moon Knight? Jeremy Slater and Mohamed Diab, the show's creators, have expressed their admiration for Moench and Sienkiewicz's "Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu" run from 1985 to 1987. This run stood out for its profound examination of Moon Knight's psychological well-being, innovative approach to first-person narration, and unconventional storytelling methods. The series also incorporates elements from different Moon Knight comic book series, like Jeff Lemire's "Moon Knight" (2016-2017) and Warren Ellis' "Moon Knight" (2014-2015). These storylines were highly acclaimed for delving into the character's ethical dilemmas and his constant battle to juggle his crime-fighting endeavors with his personal life. Khonshu is also the half-brother to Bast and Sekhmet. My comment about Mr. Knight during the 1x2 episode of Moon Knight hasn't happened to be there.

I think a lot of people never realized that Mark/Steven displayed three different personalities in the psych ward. One of them, most likely Jake Lockley, had the deep, very thick New York accent. It came out during his sessions with Dr. Harrow. I noticed it immediately the very first time I watched the episode.
this is something i learned from a psychologist channel reacting to this series: the point of this show (especially when Marc chose Steven over 'eternal peace') is to show that although Marc is the original host of the body (born as Marc), Steven and Jake are also him. All of them are real. Marc separated his naivety and innocence from being further tainted by the abuse, and so Steven was formed ignorant of all the abuse and hostility from his mother. This is definitely one of my top MCU titles. Everything about it was just amazing. Oscar Isaac's acting is just off the charts. Your reactions are the best - I've rewatched this a dozen times, and I still feel just as excited about it as you are!
The only problem I had with moon knight was the nitpick I have with almost all of the Disney+ finales, it was rushed. Other than that it was a really good show
As a comic reader i was wondering when Jack would show up. There were references to a third persona all the time, if you knew where to watch. Some good acting in this. Another look into the mystical MCU. This show and WandaVision kept you guessing as to what was going on. Glad you enjoyed the ride.
Moon Knight is one of the most underrated Marvel series put out. I thought it was fantastic and deserved a season 2. But that's still up in the air right now, so we don't know if or when we will get a Season 2.
I'm still shocked that Oscar Isaacs did not get an award for this show. He got one the same year for something else, but this is easily one of his best performances, the way he can switch between the characters in a single shot. You can tell which one he is by his facial expressions alone. Even Jake Lockley you can tell on rewatch; he's the personality who attacked Dr. Harrow and he showed up briefly when saying "While it is tempting to accept your diagnosis Doc" (The give away is the thick New York accent) I have had my issues with phase 4 of Marvel, but man I cannot say enough about this one.
I will say when it comes to Dissociative Identity Disorder there isn't necessarily a "real" personality. They're all real in their own right and are their own person.
This show was actually my favourite until very recently. I thought the last episode could have been tighter, but wow they managed to tie together most of eight volumes of Moon Knight into one very good origin story. They did an honest and respectful representation of D.I.D. & blended into with one of Marvels most complicated origins. Oscar was perfect, the twist at the end great. The MCU though, that is it's own complicated story. First off not every show is for every one, fair enough. Second not every show is the same quality, I think that is true of most franchises, different scripts, different actors, different target audience, different story, I think with Marvel this jumps around a lot more too, much like the comics, some comics were truly epic, some I couldn't bring myself to read lol/ugh. Third not every show can be Infinity War or End game. In fact Marvel made a conscious decision to take the ending of the Infinity Saga to basically start again, introduce many more characters, more styles of story (more comedic, horror etc...) & to basically build up to a new climax as part of a much larger story. After Endgame we are still only in phase 4 so we should be more realistically comparing to phase 1 Marvel. Not every movie or show can be Infinity War or Endgame, but it was the whole that contributed to those movies hitting so hard. Fourth Marvel got caught up in political controversy in the US, this in turn is linked to Marvel being criticised for over representation of minorities & in particular female characters. Personally if it's great writing, great acting, entertaining then I don't care & if the criticism is honest then I think Marvel should 100% listen. For me one movie was so so bad, but the ones I have liked less, and that one it was not so much the characters, the acting, it was the writing/script/direction that has let them down. Love your reactions, if you enjoy them as much as me you will have plenty of fun. Lets all hope phase 6 is as good as phase 3!
@alanjones5199 That was long AF 🤣 but you did make some good points, one correction though we're on phase five now which started with Ant-Man 3, idk why so many people throughout the internet think we're still on phase four
It was great rewatching the highlights of Moon Knight with you. This show was definitely one of my favorites. Be sure to watch both seasons of Loki. I've actually enjoyed all of the Marvel shows. There are a lot of great varied characters in the Marvel Universe.
My favorite question/answer from the MOON KNIGHT comics was when a man asked him "why wear white and not black? You can hide in the shadows. " MOON KNIGHT answered with, "So my enemies can see me coming!"
I remember a bunch of people saying MCU phase 4 sucked, and I'ld be like, "You did see Moon Knight, right?" Of the D+ shows released up to this point, I would easily say MK was top 2, I preferred Wandavision, with Loki S1 coming in third place. Very impressive series, and I would like to see Moon Knight return, with some super friends to interact with.
I like moon knight as a show. But as an adaptation of of the comics he’s from. It’s not good. It fails at making a grounded show. As well as completely fucking up with the mr knight personality, and making the villain some new character who has never been in a mk comic is terrible especially when mk has some good villains to take from. But what the show does right is really fucking good. Like Oscar Isaac who works his ass off in this role.
@@DormonosI've said this EXACT same thing dude, I think the show is nice on it's own, but when compared to the comic character, this version of moon knight falls so flat
I was so pleasantly surprised to see you guys reviewed Moon Knight season 1! I loved seeing your reactions and how you got things that I've heard others didn't pick up on during their first watch. This is my favorite MCU show (followed by WandaVision and Ms. Marvel). I totally agree that this phase has brought us some amazing characters and stories. It sucks that negative people with terrible agendas speak so loudly against these great shows and films.
I just posted the same thing! Great standalone short by Michael Giacchino as his directorial debut, who is mostly known for composing incredible musical scores!
Yes it sucks waiting so long for new series. Yet I love getting to watch full seasons with y’all all at once. Oscar Isaac is such a great actor. Definitely one of my favorites
Fun Fact: 3 Egyptian and 3 Native African Gods formed the Wakanda Gods/Pantheon. (Bast, Thoth, Ptah, Kokou, Mujaji and Nyami) Bast(Bastet) - Egyptian Goddess who's Champion is the Black Panthern. Thoth - Who animal is the White Gorilla so the Jabari Tribe / M'baku is associated to him. Ptah - Who bestowed them the vibranium.
Moon Knight was amazing! It really ties with WandaVision as my favorite of the MCU shows. I thought it was funny that Vince is wearing a shirt "I have a pair of wings" when in fact Layla does get a pair of wings in the final episode.
Jake lockley experienced his mothers beating I’m pretty sure. Cause Steven was there when she grabbed the belt but has no memories of his mother actually beating him. I think mark is the main, Steven clouds the bad, and Jake has all the anger of everything manifested
Moon Knight is in my top 5 best shows in general ever. Like this is MY show Moon Knight is such a cool hero and this show is so PERFECT Especially from someone with DID (the disorder Marc/Steven has)
wandavision is still my favorite D+ show with Moon Knight as a CLOSE second. I think they did a really good job tackling a real life disorder and made sure to show each alter as their own fully fleshed out person which is the truth for many. I can’t wait to see what comes next. Also Oscar Isaac is AMAZING
Very much enjoyed watching ya'lls reaction. Glad you loved it! Been a Moon Knight fan for 20 years. This show was a great blend of all the different versions on Moon Knight comics since the 70's. This show has so many hidden details and parallels throughout. Notice the mom beating on the door in ep 5 is the same as the jackel in ep 1 and 2. Marc dies in water, the same as his brother. The 3 roof top thugs in ep 4 represent Marc's three personalities.
Moon Knight has been my favorite Marvel character for about 15 years now since I started reading his comics back in high school. The character is just so well written in so many ways and is an absolute badass. Very underrated character and absolutely deserves another season or a couple movies. We know he will be in The Midnight Sons whenever Marvel decides to bring in Ghost Rider, Blade and a few others but when that is, we have no idea as of now. Loved the reaction!
Moon Knight real name is Marc Spector. Basically Mark created Steven to escape from the reality and the things that happened to him as a kid. The series also confirmed five different alters, and also elaborated on how they came to be. In the source material, the vigilante can appear as Marc Spector, Steven Grant, Jake Lockley, Mr. Knight and Moon Knight. My theory is that there is at least one more which is a costume for Jake Lockley. In the comics Jake's costume is with a darker color scheme on his Moon Knight suit. This made him look like a more serious version of the character, adding an extra layer of threat, brutality, and violence to this hero. In the comics this costume is called Ghost Hunter which adding deeper and more willing relationship with Khonshu. - As i said Marc is the real one. - Steven is when he wants to be brave and imagine a world where he is with his mom. - Jake is the personality he switches to when his mom used to beat him. He's ruthless, also loves to wear a fake moustache and speak Spanish.
My fav is loki coming close in 2nd is moonknight. Did you notice that in Episode 6 when they were talking to doc. That his voice change? That was Jake.
Thank you! I'm loving the new introduced characters too. And I dislike how much hate they get from people who have nothing else to do than passionately hate on the new characters/shows... I understand the endgame times are over but still... Love your reactions and always enjoying the journey with you :)
It took me this long to realize mark spector’s last name is a pun to “spectre” like a ghost/phantom which is kinda how khonshu comes off to steven and such
Man, I almost forgot how good Oscar Isaac is in this role. Now that Marvel's broken the seal on R-rated content, I can't wait to see what this character is allowed to do in a movie, especially the Jake Lockley persona. If the studio's smart, they'd go forward with Moon Knight as one of the franchise leads.
Marvel need to change there policy on r rated content maybe deadpool entered in mcu next year and blade movie is in productions and fans can't accept punisher with out r rated content
@@MOHGAMING123 Seems like they're doing just that. Was pleasantly surprised to see Echo rated MA. Hopefully Deadpool makes as much money as the last two did.
Nice. As a fan of the comic since the 80's, I was worried about this. Best marvel video content ever created. Oscar Isaac pulls off the best acting I've ever seen in my life.
I'm glad you are enjoying Phase 4. This is the time when the haters really came out in force against the MCU, and while some shows and movies definitely deserve it, there are some that are also outstanding.
You mentioned how Oscar Isaac was your favourite part of the show & how his acting was amazing. Looking back, he had to play essentially 3 different characters in 1. And while you could probably halfass it, he didnt! Its a testament to his acting that Marc feels entirely different from Steven, who also feels entirely different from Jake. Furthermore on Jake, while we only see him for the first time at the end, if you pay close attention it isn't the first time we've seen Jake come out. In Cairo when he kills those guys, & *NEITHER* Marc nor Steven know who killed them...thats Jake! And when they're on the boat, and they come across that third sarcophagus that's rattling, as if something is trapped inside...thats Jake!!
Oscar Isaac's real life brother was his body double for the scenes where both Mark and Steven are on screen. They most likely mapped Oscar's face onto his brother, as i don't think they're twins AFAIK
Moon knight was so brilliantly written, acted and all. Oscar Issac was perfect and his character is such a tragic but interesting character. Loved every minute of it! 😊❤
Moon Knight 1x2: The show's latest episode was excellent, and Mr. Knight looked absolutely stunning. My favorite part was the back-and-forth between Steven Grant and Marc Spector, and Khonshu looked fantastic. Arthur Harrow was a great villain, and the visuals were stunning. The twist of Arthur Harrow being a former avatar of Khonshu was excellent, and his cool-blooded roasting of Khonshu was impressive. I'm thoroughly enjoying this show, and the interaction between Steven Grant and Arthur Harrow was a highlight of this episode. Khonshu's lack of chill was also noteworthy, and Layla's fun interaction with Steven Grant was a joy to watch.
Hey you two! I just want to say how much I really love your banner, the row of six photos of the two of you together. You look so damn perfect! The Perfect Mix. ❤
When the Doctor and mental things start after steven being shot Things get so fked to understand and that is also the best part that makes this series a very brainy thing
This is my first time on your channel. I must say, I love how y'all react. I also rock with the fact that you've binged watched the whole entire season and reacted like that. It was really cool. I subscribed off of this video. I'm going to check out more of your reactions from earlier
Along with Loki and Wandavision, Moonknight is my favorite Marvel show. Oscar Isaac kills it! The aesthetic and story are just so appealing to me. This show made me get into Moonknight. I knew nothing of him before this.
Hello been a sub for a year or more, never commd, love you guys! This is one of those that now that you KNOW the re watch is crazy cool. Kinda like Sixth Sense… I’m old and a comic geek and Moon Knight has crazy ass, cool as shit run. As an old school geek, they nailed it for an introduction for such a crazy character. Love you guys keep it up ♥️♥️
There are a lot of great things to say about this show. I’m also glad that my sister and parents enjoyed watching it too. My mom in particular agreed that the very concepts of mental health was Egyptian iconography explored throughout this show were the most interesting.
Moon Knight 1x1: Witnessing Khonshu was both eerie and exhilarating for Steven. This episode was absolutely fantastic. Ever since 1993, I've been a devoted follower of Moon Knight. The visuals showcased in this particular episode were absolutely magnificent. I can't help but feel a mix of Fight Club, Indiana Jones, Ghostbusters, The Mummy, Jacob's Ladder, and Donnie Darko vibes from this incredible show.
Just a warning/tip: as a person with DID, I wanted to make it clear that there is no such thing as a "real" one. The three are real, Jake, Mark and Steven.
Every time you think you know Marvel they do something absolutely BONKERS like this 😂 I freaking love Moon Knight!! The comics are excellent as well. I cannot wait to see them again! Great reaction as always!! I'm so glad y'all enjoyed this as much as I did!!
I love Moon Knight, he's a Batman with split personalities and each personality has a specialty. in the comics even dracula is afraid of him (because dracula owes him money lol) he's a badass character in the comics no other hero wants to work with perfect mix another great reaction
12:08 "Nothing they did was cop-like. They bumrushed into his house without a warrant." Yeah brother thats what cops do, especially to dark skinned brothers
So quick thing about DID. (Which is what moon knight has) Now none of this is personal experience as I do no have DID myself, but they're all real. A new person in there isn't like making someone it's more like pieces of the original person combined with adaptations from the human brain.

You can tell which one he is by his facial expressions alone. Even Jake Lockley you can tell on rewatch; he's the personality who attacked Dr. Harrow and he showed up briefly when saying "While it is tempting to accept your diagnosis Doc" (The give away is the thick New York accent)
I have had my issues with phase 4 of Marvel, but man I cannot say enough about this one.
I will say when it comes to Dissociative Identity Disorder there isn't necessarily a "real" personality. They're all real in their own right and are their own person.
I agree - Oscar should have won an academy award for this performance.
FYI the other gods didn’t die with their Avatars because they weren’t “bound” the way Amit was bound within Harrow.
It's Phase 5 now lol.
Bro u wrote a whole essay 😂
I've seen a lot of people shit on MK but then say Ms. Marvel was better 💀
Loki season 2 is number 1
@@DormonosI've said this EXACT same thing dude, I think the show is nice on it's own, but when compared to the comic character, this version of moon knight falls so flat
This show is mid af
I was so pleasantly surprised to see you guys reviewed Moon Knight season 1! I loved seeing your reactions and how you got things that I've heard others didn't pick up on during their first watch. This is my favorite MCU show (followed by WandaVision and Ms. Marvel). I totally agree that this phase has brought us some amazing characters and stories. It sucks that negative people with terrible agendas speak so loudly against these great shows and films.
Negative people everywhere trying to ruin the fun, but we gotta just ignore them and vibe 😊
Don't miss last year's "Werewolf by night" special. They released it in color, but check out the original first.
Really hope they watch it cuz it was genuinely one of the best things the mcu has put out in a long time
I just posted the same thing!
48:45 Jake Lockley is the third personality of Mark Spector.
he was the one in the red sarcophagus, just before they met Taweret at the end of ep 4
Fun Fact: 3 Egyptian and 3 Native African Gods formed the Wakanda Gods/Pantheon.
(Bast, Thoth, Ptah, Kokou, Mujaji and Nyami)
Bast(Bastet) - Egyptian Goddess who's Champion is the Black Panthern.
Thoth - Who animal is the White Gorilla so the Jabari Tribe / M'baku is associated to him.
Ptah - Who bestowed them the vibranium.
Love me some Moon Knight!
moon knight was not only one of my favorite mcu shows but a favorite show period. so good and kinda slept on tbh.
Moon Knight, Loki, WandaVision are all top tier MCU IMO
I’m right there with ya
Moon Knight was amazing! It really ties with WandaVision as my favorite of the MCU shows. I thought it was funny that Vince is wearing a shirt "I have a pair of wings" when in fact Layla does get a pair of wings in the final episode.
Jake lockley experienced his mothers beating I’m pretty sure. Cause Steven was there when she grabbed the belt but has no memories of his mother actually beating him. I think mark is the main, Steven clouds the bad, and Jake has all the anger of everything manifested
So... Most of the time Moon Knights costume is almost entirely practical... and looks incredible close up.
Writing, directing, acting... all great in this show
Moon Knight is in my top 5 best shows in general ever. Like this is MY show
Moon Knight is such a cool hero and this show is so PERFECT
Especially from someone with DID (the disorder Marc/Steven has)
wandavision is still my favorite D+ show with Moon Knight as a CLOSE second.
There is no "real one" when it comes to DID, they're all real.
Everytime Steven Grant blacks out, it's Jake Lockley who takes control of the body. Marc, everytime he switch with Steven they show it
Unbelievable series. I liked Oscar Isaac before, now I think he's unstoppable. There is big time an Oscar in Oscar's future.
My fav is loki coming close in 2nd is moonknight. Did you notice that in Episode 6 when they were talking to doc. That his voice change? That was Jake.
yeah the new york sounding accent when he says diagnosis doc
I’m so glad you guys did this. I couldn’t get in to the show when we tried to watch it. Thank you.
I think when the scene flashes and all of a sudden bunch of people died, I think that is when Jake was in control
Oscar Isaac is also play as Miguel in Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse & Apocalypse in X-Men Apocalypse.
I didn't know that
Oscar Issac’s accent as Steven is one of the most legit English accents I’ve ever heard an American do
Yeah, sure, I agree...
I personally liked WandaVision, Falcon, Loki, Moon Knight, Shang chi, Doctor Strange 2, Guardians 3....
Hawkeye wasn't bad, Eternals too,
But the others, I really didn't like...
Steven: "Would Ammit kill a child for something that they might do in 30 years?"
Movie premise: "Ammit would kill baby Hitler, so yes!!"
(Shows wingspan) "I take that back!" LOL! Yep!!! THANKS for this!!!!!
Glad y'all watched this. Moon Knight is one of my faves, season 2 is gonna be amazing
OSCAR ISSAC DID SUCH AN AMAZING JOB AND THIS SHOW IS SOOOO GOOD❤❤❤
Moon knight was so brilliantly written, acted and all.
I’ve been a fan of the comic book series for a while, and even though the show has quite a few differences, it’s still a pretty good show.
This show was so so so good such an unexpected surprise I reccomend it to everyone!
Anton Mogart’s Midnight Man, was supposed to play a bigger role, but sadly the actor who played him died in a skiing accident.
Hey you two! I just want to say how much I really love your banner, the row of six photos of the two of you together. You look so damn perfect! The Perfect Mix. ❤
Perfect timing! My Moon Knight Crescent Dart and Full Moon necklaces arrived yesterday B)
THIS was my SHOW.... LET'S GET IT !!! 😀
Moonknight is my absolute favorite hero/villain! ❤
When the Doctor and mental things start after steven being shot Things get so fked to understand and that is also the best part that makes this series a very brainy thing
So excited for you to see this! One of the absolute best things Marvel has ever made, imo.
This is my first time on your channel. I must say, I love how y'all react. I also rock with the fact that you've binged watched the whole entire season and reacted like that. It was really cool. I subscribed off of this video. I'm going to check out more of your reactions from earlier
I loved all of them Loki seasons 1&2 Hawkeye Wandavision All but the last episode of She-Hulk Moon Knight Ms.Marvel ect...
Moonknight is amazing
Oscar Isaac "DID THE DAMN THING". 👏
Oscar Isaac was amazing in this I really hope this isn't the last time we see Moon Knight
Along with Loki and Wandavision, Moonknight is my favorite Marvel show. Oscar Isaac kills it! The aesthetic and story are just so appealing to me. This show made me get into Moonknight. I knew nothing of him before this.
This and Loki Season Two are the best shows marvel has put out
this series is one of the few I've enjoyed from Disney+ other than What If? Oscar Issac is such an incredible actor!
Love you guys keep it up
♥️♥️
There are a lot of great things to say about this show. I’m also glad that my sister and parents enjoyed watching it too. My mom in particular agreed that the very concepts of mental health was Egyptian iconography explored throughout this show were the most interesting.
Didn't know the comic before I saw the show. An interesting ant-hero in a unique environment.
its actually quite simple:
Mark is the original
Steven is who he wants to be
Jake is who he sees himself as/who hes scared to be
I loved this show! It is being released on 4K and I will be buying it for sure
10:32 Best reaction right there😂😂😂
If you like the darker tone of this show, you really need to check out the Daredevil series.
Jake was also hinted at in episode 5 Steven comes out of a sarcophagus and there was a second one with someone in it
Loki, WandaVision and MoonKnight are my top 3 MCU shows.
NO MATTER WHAT! IN THIS HOUSE WE LOVE MCU MOON KNIGHT!
This was my fav marvel show 100%
1) Loki Season 1 and 2
2) Moonknight
3) Wandavision
Every time you think you know Marvel they do something absolutely BONKERS like this 😂 I freaking love Moon Knight!! The comics are excellent as well. I cannot wait to see them again! Great reaction as always!! I'm so glad y'all enjoyed this as much as I did!!
Werewolf by Night would be next to watch
People like the new characters
The biggest issue with them is that they haven't shown up since they were introduced
I love Moon Knight, he's a Batman with split personalities and each personality has a specialty. in the comics even dracula is afraid of him (because dracula owes him money lol) he's a badass character in the comics no other hero wants to work with perfect mix another great reaction
I love when Deadpool and Moon Knight meet for the first time, Moon Knight beats him so badly that Deadpool wakes up in the hospital the next day
12:08 "Nothing they did was cop-like. They bumrushed into his house without a warrant." Yeah brother thats what cops do, especially to dark skinned brothers
I love how much they got correct with DID, it shows so much ( but not the monsters)
This has always been my favorite and after seeing Loki Season two that jumped up to #1 but I can’t wait to see more of this character!!!
Moon knight is one of the best Marvel Show
The other sarcophagus was Jake
Fun Fact: T'challa is an avatar for the panther goddess Bast
So quick thing about DID. (Which is what moon knight has) Now none of this is personal experience as I do no have DID myself, but they're all real. A new person in there isn't like making someone it's more like pieces of the original person combined with adaptations from the human brain.
