Thank you so much for watching my video! 💖As I write this completely healed, I wanted to share an additional resource that I've poured my heart and soul into for those of you looking for more support as you go through your recovery! This covers EVERYTHING I wish I knew when I was struggling myself and felt like I was going to be 'stuck' in dizziness hell forever - I don't want anyone to feel like that, because it's not true and we should never settle on a reduced quality of life! I want to cry. I have been battling it for almost two years now. At first, I thought I only had a few more years to live. I felt like I was dying, and I was the only person who had this sickness. I've been to different general check-ups, and all the results were expected. So, I told myself maybe I was going crazy. It's such a relief knowing that some people have the same condition as me. Thank you so much, as you gave me hope.
Update. After four days of doing these exercises, I AM SO ECSTATIC TO SAY! It helped me a lot! I am convinced that I AM 70% BETTER! Oh my god, thank you so much! You're a blessing!
I just had my first cup of coffee in 8 months. I usually have PPPD attacks when I drink coffee. I was a bit nervous, but hey! I didn't even feel any dizziness.
Been dealing with this for almost 5 years now but it’s really minimal now. What really helped me was eating healthy, cutting out a lot of sugar/caffeine out of my diet, exercising, taking walks everyday, stretching, meditation, wim hof breathing.
Hi ive been doing exercises for only 5 weeks now and i feel a huge improvement i havent had a flare up this whole February. thank you soo much for making a video on pppd because you encourage me to do these exercises. you basically saved my life lol.
This is life saver for me , I was suffering from this constant dizziness since 3 years, but doing these exercises since 7 days I'm getting fine the symptoms have been reduced for almost 95% don't loose hope🙏
@@EMJAYstyles MJ Is it a common pppd symtome in you opinion this kind of weird falling sansation actually it’s more like gravity is pulling my to the ground. And even the sinking feeling while sitting or laying in bed ? And final question what about feeling weird feeling on part on face or arm ?

I've been doing the exercises for 2 and a half weeks now and have already noticed a difference. Plus my attitude towards the dizziness is changing, I'm a lot more positive and relaxed and it really doesn't eat away at me as much as it did ❤ Oh, I hope I can recover from this !!!
I don’t feel crazy anymore nor do I feel alone! I have done so many tests and nothing comes back. I’m going to see an ENT and neurologist soon, I will talk about this with him or her. Thank you for this video! I just did my first exercise and hoping to feel better in the months to come!
@@kaylatotten6075 I am sorry to hear , it sounds really harsh I just look up . I hope you have got the treatment you need and that you have find a way to calm your inner self. I send you lot of thoughts
I can’t tell you how much this helps. I had a BPPV episode in Feb which then turned into PPPD and k was diagnosed in Aug. The vestibular testing (the air in the ears) gave me actual PTSD and I had to see a clinical psychologist to help as it was so traumatic. I was doing the exercises for a month and felt so awful that I just stopped it overall. I’m due to see my VT this Thursday to talk to her about everything and to see if there are any other starting point options for me other than the sitting down head side to side / up and down. You’ve helped give me some perspective and grit to get back to it. Seriously thankyou x
This was the first thing I saw about this condition I had searched the internet for weeks looking for something that explained what I was feeling and it was scaring the hell out of me that I couldn’t find anything. I took to RUclips hoping to find someone who had experienced the same thing and found this video and immediately sent it to my family. Symptoms are identical and even the diagnosis process is identical. I have my neurologist appointment coming up but have also been instructed to go to vestibular rehab and I’m so excited because I NEED some relief desperately. Thank you for posting this, without you I would still be loosing my mind thinking that I was dying and in a depressed hole. Still not feeling well at all but at least there’s hope! Thank you thank you thank you for sharing this!
@@katygotkidz2920 I’ve been in vestibular rehab for about 3 months and have been able to get back to my life. See my family, go back to work and school and the grocery store lol. I still have bad days but they are few and far between and I’ll take that any day over what I was experiencing in the beginning thank you so much for asking and if you have any questions on my experience that may differ from the video I am more than happy to answer !!!!!!
@@mackinliecourington1041 Hi, May I ask did you have the feeling of floor shifting under your feet when walking and are you completely recovered? Really appreciate 🙏🏻
I went to the E.R. and to Urgent Care twice in a week for rapid heartbeat and the feeling of swaying back and forth to the point I thought I was going to pass out. Both instances the Doctors and medical staff did an EKG, bloodwork and X-ray my heart and lungs. Everything was normal which wasn’t comforting because I still did not know what the root cause of my lightheadedness. I came across your channel hoping that your exercise techniques will help. Grateful you posted this.
Guys I recently think had PPPD. It came after I had a very bad panic attack from weed. I suffered from anxiety disorder and then constant dizziness. I would say the best thing you can do is believe in your self and embrace the feeling. Stop thinking all the time I am going to fall. Nothing is going to happen, it's all in your head. My symptoms have gone to about 30% in just a month without even trying exercises. And I would the best thing that helped me was meditation and going out a lot especially alone that gave me a lot of confidence. Have faith guys you can overcome it.
Your videos have been a savior for me, thank you so much for making these. I started having the same symptoms as you during Christmas almost 3 years ago, I managed to get it under control for the most part but I have been having a bad flare up lately and returned to your videos again. You have been such a staple of my recovery process and I appreciate you so much!
I got so dizzy just watching you do the exercises 😅 thank you for this video! I’ve been dealing with your exact symptoms plus a few more for 7 yrs. I can’t wait to try these!
Thank you for making me feel less alone! Ive been through so much because doctors didnt know what was up with me exactly. Ive been doing some of your exercises and its been helping tremendously.
Omg comments like this make me sooo happy! it seems a lot of people with suspected PPPD or other unexplained dizziness haven’t had much luck with doctors which isn’t encouraging at all:(❤️

Hi to anyone watching this video with the symptoms described, I know your pain and I want to share my experience from NZ in case it helps. Throughout all of 2019, I suffered without diagnosis. A “gloopy” kind of dizziness I called it. Not actual spinning. More like my brain was moving through space slower than my body and then always "whooshing" in a slow treacly way to catch up with the motion. Like living in cotton wool or being underwater. Mainly when moving but not always. Elements of brain-fog and double-vision but maybe not related. I had tension headaches too - probably shows I was stressed. Was trashing my ability to think and work in management role, and I took to only exercising on long flat easy spaces like a beach. I got all the tests under the sun and they came back negative. In late 2019 an ENT specialist mentioned PPPD very briefly alongside other vestibular conditions. I then read up on it myself and I was SOOO relieved it had a name and was a thing! Felt like crying with joy i wasn't going mad alone. I went back to my GP armed with my research and two things saved me. 1) An SSRI (Citalopram in my case) antidepressant. I had to ask the doc for these myself but he was happy to try after reading the material. I wasn't depressed although of course I I was fed up and stressed, but I was very happy to try anything. It worked wonders within weeks. There seems to be some thinking that it simply helps your neurons function and communicate more effectively but maybe that's not quite right. I've had no downsides other than withdrawal challenges when I tried coming off a bit too soon. Be aware of that risk. But still worth it vs PPPD hell! 2) De-stressing by learning to breathe properly again. Not just doing occasional deep breathing once a day. I learned to constantly breath diaphragmatically. There are physios and RUclips videos to help with this. It's very easy once you practice and completely transformative to your sense of calm and your body and brain loves you for it. That was enough for me to “cure” my issue with PPPD that was wrecking my happiness. 16 months on and no relapse. Hopefully it stays away. Personally, vestibular training exercises didn't help me but of course that was just me and clearly they work for many so DO THEM! I didn't try them for long enough I think. My advice is to go to your medical people with printed out material about PPPD and the possible treatments including SSRI anti-depressants. Force them to understand this is a real thing with proven solutions. Good luck to you all and I hope this helps.
I have the exact same sypmtoms since the last five years, and i have just been prescribed cipralix ( SSRI) 5mg daily, i'm really scared to take it, did you experience any side effects?
Thank you Could you explain the withdrawal symptoms? Do you mean you were addicted to the SSRI and without them The symptômes were coming back or you just craved them ? 😅 how long did you take them for ? Thank you for your help
Thank you so much for sharing your story. Now I don't feel so all alone and feel I can go forward in a positive direction. It took me about 4 months to get a diagnosis after many appointments with doctors. My ear, nose, and throat doctor diagnosed me and sent me to vestibular rehab which took a while to get that appointment. The exercises are very short and similar to what you said. I have good days and bad days but I will not give up. I think mine was triggered by Covid stress and isolation. I have a history of anxiety and depression and have a good enough mental health professional support system. They are recommending SSRI's along with the P.T. I am 70 years old and will exercise caution with the meds. Again, I cannot tell you how inspirational you have been for me. Thanks a million!
Thank you so much for this really. I'm 18 and I started having these symptoms since getting the worst panic attack ever, plus anxiety and paranoia from a previous traumatic event. I will be doing my best to practice the exercises u demonstrated, hopefully it works out. I had to drop out of college because of this, went to so many hospitals too, and my parents even got me glasses because we thought my eyes was the problem. This thing gets so horrible, but wish me luck. I so badly need and want to get out of this. :>

I woke up on a Sunday morning with dizziness so intense I felt like I was dying and was taken by ambulance to the hospital. Since then I have had all the symptoms you describe. Thank you so much, I did the exercises and I feel so much better almost instantly. I'll keep doing it.
I felt the symptoms you were saying too really bad, especially while standing, being in public or exercising for too long. I can’t believe how different you are now to when you first had pppd. I was worried at one point you were never going to have your life back but you have done so well to overcome it. I know you still get flairs up occasionally but nowhere near as bad as you used to. Enjoy your life babes. Love you 😘
I wanted to give you an update. I couldn't get a hold of my doc because it's the weekend. I showed your video to my daughter and she said it was spot on for me. As a third opinion, I showed my mom and she agreed. I woke up this morning with really bad brain fog and blurred vision. Immediately had a panic attack. Then I heard your voice in my head. Everything you said describes me exactly. The panic subsided. My daughter came in and helped me with the exercises. I did what I could do for now. Standing is nearly impossible. I did the head movements. I did 20 sets of each, very slowly. The dizziness was bad and I had to keep stopping, but did the 20 sets.Afterwards, I sat up and had like 20% relief. (I also have an ear infection at the moment so it's contributing to the dizziness.) As the day went on, I started getting the blurred vision again. I laid down and did the eye fous exercise. It helped. It helped a lot. I was able to sit up and even check my emails. I'm getting ready for bed and and did another 20 reps. I've set a goal of doing the standing sitting exercise by august (hopefully). I really can't thank you enough for this video. It's changed my life in ways I can't begin to tell you. You are amazing!!

Thanks for this video! I’m wondering if you every experienced over load stimulation ? I went out to a loud playground and it was horrible … that same evening I woke up at night with pressure on my head and felt like I was going to vomit! You are right we need to get out as much as possible. This brought on so much fear I became agoraphobic where it difficult to leave my home. So happy for your - you are giving us all hope!
Thank you so much for talking about your experience with PPPD and hypochondria publicly. I stumbled on your videos when researching BPPV for the billionth time, and experiencing really unpleasant vertigo. I also deal with hypochondria, and have gone to numerous specialists for my dizziness issues (that also started when I had a nervous breakdown and panic attacks 5 years ago now). The similarities in our experience really made me emotional, especially because it's one of those silent disabilities, and doctors often dismiss it. I'm more determined now to seek vestibular therapy (as was previously recommended by an ENT), and hopefully stop annoying my boyfriend, and myself, with dizziness complaints 😋 You regain a sense of power when you know you're not alone! THANK YOU! ❤
@catherine wambui I haven't, and I don't know if I ever will "fully recover" from the vestibular disorder, but I can manage things a bit more now. And honestly knowing what it even is was half the battle - I found that physiotherapists with a specialization in vestibular disorders were the biggest help (both have confirmed I have some form of vestibukar disorder, either PPPD and/or vestibular migraines, which many other regular doctors dont even know about). They made me feel like I can tackle this, and with their support and sharing knowledge, I've come to understand that while it's sometimes debilitating or uncomfortable, it's not going to kill me and it can be worked on with lots of patience and practice.
@Tork G i'm sorry you're dealing with that - it doesn't seem very supportive of him, but I understand that it can be difficult to understand for anyone that doesn't experience it themselves. I've found that having a partner who is patient and encourages me to seek proper care from professionals (like physiotherapists) has been so helpful. I hope you have some people around you that can offer you some compassion and support! 😊

@@Rose-gc8og Hi! I'm perfectly fine again! It took me half a year to get rid of the discomfort. I have been to many psychologists, and all of this is psychological! I eventually realized that you simply have to forget that you are dizzy. If you wake up every day and think, "today I'm dizzy too", the prosess of getting better will take longer. This will pass, may take some time if you keep thinking about it, but I eventually forgot about the dizziness and it slowly faded away. This is nothing scary or life threatening! Take care of yourself, this is nothing dangerous, just psychological!
Amazing, I have been struggling for years and years....bless you and thank you so much....I respect 🙌 you for helping us in our suffering when we have this.
Thank you for this ❤️ I just finished watching your other video too & I can relate so much! About a year ago when covid started my job closed down around March last year & ever since then my anxiety was at it’s worst it’s ever been. I use to get anxiety here & there back then but it was bearable & ever since last year it got so bad! I would get such a weird feeling in my chest, my legs would shake & my heart would be pounding. I remember getting my first panic attack last year while I was showering! I don’t know how or why but half way through my shower I felt like I was “dreaming” kind of like if I spaced out. The best way I can explain the feeling was like if I was “high”. I freaked myself out & literally got out because I felt like I was going to faint & my heart was pounding. Ever since that happened I remember I would get anxiety randomly every day, even while I was just at home & that’s something that would never happen before. I then started feeling really dizzy & sometimes would feel like I was gonna pass out. I even started feeling dizzy / off balanced while showering & it still happens til this day. All these things have really started affecting my everyday life! Til this day I still have not worked because I’m scared of these symptoms happening while I’m working ☹️ when I went to the doctor to see why I was feeling dizzy they also told me my blood work came back fine, that it was because of my anxiety. I even got a second opinion & went to a different doctor & they also told me it was anxiety. I just didn’t believe it because when I would get anxiety in the past I would never get dizzy so I thought it was something more. My anxiety & dizziness has gone down a bit since then but it’s still there everyday just not as intense & this video has definitely gave me hope that my dizziness will go away permanently. I will definitely mention pppd to my doctor & see what they say. Thank you again 🙏🏼
I get the "high" feeling too but feel ashamed every time I explain it to the nurse......like, I seriously don't know what it feels like to be high LOL....honest!!!

I’ve been doing vestibular rehabilitation therapy everyday and I feel like I’m at 88-90% better. Vestibular rehabilitation works, so don’t stop doing it. It is also important to find some kind of activity that helps you to relax as well because stress makes it much worse.
Sorry for the very late reply. I struggled with it for about 4-5 months. After seeking treatment for about 8 months I started feeling much better. This involved vestibular therapy/exercises and 10 mg of lexapro. It still remains but I can go about my daily life. Just don’t give up.
Hello from Brazil! Your video really helped me a lot!! I have the same symptons and I'm anxious too. I'm already doing some exercises, but you improved them a lot... Hope to get rid of pppd soon :( Thank you so much and Merry Christmas!
I did some breathing exercises for anxiety and it REALLY helped me a lot. It’s called 4-2-6 breathing technique. Have you ever tried this? I hope you get 100% soon 🙏🏻
@@Ackermann634 Great! I'm sure that you'll get better! I'm dealing with PPPD for the last 2 years. I also did vestibular physiotherapy (especific for PPPD).
Have recently had a flare up , definitely will be going back to these exercises, I do walk a lot and that helps . I do find that stressful situations can make it feel worse , am very glad to have come across this video . Needed this reminder .
How do you deal with the stressful situations and the dizziness? I feel mines is much worse when I’m anxious. I try meditation etc, but it’s not working.
Thank you very much for this!! Did the exercises first time tonight, and it felt good. Will keep on going, because I can not bear, not being strong and there for my son :'(
Hey did you get any better? Im kinda in the same boat except I cant bear not being there for my mother. (I am but I just cannot concentrate on helping her, it does not feel genuine)
@@Robin-hv5tv Hey Robin. It did get a little better but I still sometimes get very dizzy. I think more than really get better, I learned to live with it and accept it as a part of my life now. The doctors here in Denmark really preach the.... if you can live with it... live with it! I must admit though, that I don't do the exercises very often, so maybe if you are more strict at doing them....? Best of luck
I'm curious how often you have had flare ups. I've been dealing with this for the last 3 years. The exercises really work and as you said, continuing to do your day to day things works. I have gotten back to 100% but then I have flare ups where my vision gets all blurred and then my anxiety just takes off. I'm curious what you've done during flares and how long it has taken you to get back to 100%
Hey! i had flare ups once a month for about 5-7 days where I’d struggle to walk/get out of bed due to very intense head symptoms. I’d say after about 3 months of doing the VR exercises the flare ups stopped so I just had a more constant lower level of dizziness from then on. Took 7 months to feel dizziness free and be able to do more ‘normal’ life things without feeling restricted!
Thank you so much I'm pretty sure this is what I have...I have been diagnosed with perhipheral vestibulotpathy..I'm going to see a vestibular therapist this week. I watched your other video too. I will try the exercises and check out CBD...you're a lifesaver. It's good to know there's hope - I am sooo frustrated and anxious.
Thanks for the vid. Quick question schools starting for me again and I’m going to have to spend hours sitting in the same position in front of my computer since it’s online. What I’m asking is do you think that technology specifically makes the dizziness and imbalance worse or maybe even from not moving my heads position for hours? I’m asking because I’m become very panicked knowing that I can’t avoid school while also knowing that it might make my condition worse. Also one more thing, in physical ed class, running and doing normal excersizes won’t make it worse right?
Hey! I think because of the visual symptoms you can get from PPPD a lot of people do struggle with screens and small text as it can make your eyes feel really strained/overwhelmed? But some people are fine so it depends, I’d make sure if you do have that problem you take regular breaks and also use eye drops! Make sure you’re stretching your body out and try and maintain good posture, it’s your neck that may become quite stiff. But in general regardless of what you’re doing PPPD sufferers will avoid moving their necks so i wouldn’t say the laptop ‘causes’ it, but it’s all about making sure you switch up position etc then you’re good! Erm I personally really struggled with exercise because of the dizziness but for some it helps them- so have a go and see how you feel:)
@@EMJAYstyles A doctor told me a similar thing, to always change my position, but to be honest I don’t really understand what that means. Like does it apply only to changing your heads position or your whole body? Also another quick question did you ever feel that the ground was slanting to one side when standing or that you seemed to be falling to one side when sitting?
thank you so much for this! I've been struggling with what i'm 90% sure is pppd for over 3 years now (since october 2020) and it has waxed and waned but i'm having another flare up after experiencing a bad panic attack in the car three days ago. I have my final deadlines on friday then i am going to attempt these exercises as i have all summer to heal before university starts again.
This gives me so much hope, also reading that a lot of people are completely cured from doing these exercises! I’ve been having neuritis vestibularis for about 8 days now and started doing cawthorne and cooksey exercises for 3 days doing them 3-4 times daily! I will get back in a few weeks to tell you how I feel! Are there any other people that have been completely cured doing these exercises? (Btw, I don’t use these exercises but found other ones which are also on youtube, these are pretty similar) thankyou Emjay x
Hi Cheese Dippers! So glad to see your post here! (I was the one who told you about Emjay). After you asked me a few days ago if I was getting better, and I said I have to start my exercises again, it was you who inspired me to get my butt going! :) So I'm doing Emjay's exercises again now. I also want to say that the head movement exercises are really important, so even if you choose others, please at least do those daily too. If you read the comments, a lot of people got better doing what Emjay does, shown here. And don't do too much or too little of the exercises. Do it enough to challenge yourself, but don't overdo it. Ok, bye! Jeanne :)
Hey I’m so glad you have hope from this!! Great to hear that you’re trying out some exercises and challenging your symptoms! For me it was probably like 90% effective in getting rid of my symptoms, I’ve had a couple of small relapses since but nothing major and they didn’t last long, but I think it’s because I wasn’t staying active and going out the house much which is soo important for keeping off your symptoms! but day to day I generally feel normal and like I can do most things which hopefully you’ll be able to Aswell:)
You truly are a lifesaver, i've spent sp many months wondering whether thid was because of my anxiety or the other way around... Still on my path to finding stability. Hoping seeing an ENT will help. But thank you
Yeah it’s hard to know which way the cycle works, I never believed that it was ‘just anxiety’ because it was ruining my life!! Yes amazing I hope you get a great recovery plan soon :)
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I was diagnosed with PPPD at the same time as vestibular migraines. I couldn’t start VRT until my migraines were better controlled. Three years later I’m finally at the point to start this process. Your story makes me feel so positive about starting this journey. I was wondering how you are getting on now? Admittedly I haven’t been on your channel yet, so I’m not sure if you’ve done an update 🤗
Many thanks I have have suffered with this problem for many years and been told by my GP that there is no cure and will have to live with it I'm going to give it a try many thanks
the cure is "habituation" just like having tinnitus. eventually your brain will accept it and wont fight it like its attacking you. it just takes time. it took me 6 months to habituate to tinnitus when got it in 2017. it was a living hell at first and the eventually tinnitus just became a part of me and never bothers me ever rly anymore. i recently developed this pppd now too. so im going through the process all over again...but i can tell the recovery is the same method as tinnitus. u just have to gut it out the first few months. the only difference is with this disorder u have to actually do exercises with tinnitus u didnt
Wow! I have this and have done for 3 years now. Like yourself, I had test after test after test all to come back normal. I finally got a diagnosis from the vestibular rehabilitation centre for pppd about 3 weeks ago and have being doing those exercises ever since. I had all the symptoms that you have described but I also had shooting pains through my eyeball. Not behind the eye like a migraine but through the eyes. Did you have this? Although it was difficult, I found that if I pushed through and went to the gym and exercised for an hour or 2 I found that this temporarily eased my symptoms for a few hours afterwards. I do still struggle to do this because I do feel like I'm going to pass out I.e the room goes very dark and I feel like I'm being dragged to one side. Im 3 weeks into my exercises and although I'm still as dizzy as I always have been I have noticed a slight improvement in my balance.
@@leviackermann188 Hi, yes I stopped doing the exercises about 8 months ago. I feel about 95% normal again. I still get dizzy sometimes but it’s rare and when it does come it’s very minimal. I was told about acupuncture and thought that it would be a waste of time. However, I thought I’d give it a go. I had 6 treatments as I had tried everything else and I have been ok since so maybe that worked. How are you now? Do you still have dizziness? Do you still do the exercises?
@@Rob-qn9ml nice to hear that rob that you are almost back to normal? Were your symtomes also 24/7 ? May I ask how old you are? 2) did you struggle for 3 years before it got better or did you feel better in this 3 years? 3) was VRT exercise the key to come back to normal? Or would you say it was the time healed you? 4) I’m 26, 2years in now. I had better two months now kind of relapse. I’m gonna start this exercise again … and I hope that time will cure me
@@leviackermann188 Thank you. Yes my symptoms were 24/7. I felt ok for the first 10 minutes after waking up in the morning and then the dizziness would start and constantly remain until the first 10 minutes of the following morning. Yes of course. I’m 37. So it all started in February 2019 and at first I thought it was just maybe low blood sugar or low blood pressure but it turned out that it wasn’t. It was constant for 3 years. I had this severe dizziness right up until December 2021. I did the VRT through 2021 and I felt it eased my symptoms but not solve the problem. In October 2021, I began 6 sessions of acupuncture and I was doubtful that this would work but roughly after 3-4 weeks of finishing my session the dizziness seemed to have subsided quite a lot and now sometimes they do return but only minimal that it doesn’t interfere with my life as much as it did. I couldn’t say for sure whether it was the acupuncture that cured me or a mixture of both VRT and acupuncture but I’m just hoping that it doesn’t return as severe as it was for those three years.
@@Rob-qn9ml thank you for sharing your story rob! I think it was a mix of both.. vrt maybe it did something in your under brain 🧠 and maybe the acupuncture helped to calm down your nervessystem. Next month I also gonna try acupuncture I’m a bit suspicious but I wanna try it who knows maybe it works for me. May I ask what was your vrt look like ? In time minutes per day ?
This might sound kinda awful, but before seeing this video, I used to literally smack my head from side to side between my palms to in a sense trigger my dizziness, and I found that through doing that, I would actually feel better. I also used to shake my head back and forth and feel my brain slosh around inside my skull, again, I would actually feel slightly better afterwards. This video seems to give a more... refined... method, haha... of treatment. If this is really what I've been feeling over the past two years, then BLESS YOU!!
So glad I found these videos, I've had these symptoms for years with no answers from doctors. Just wondered, did you do all the exercises at the start or just pick one and do that for a while then add another one and so on?
Aww I’m glad it’s been helpful! I would try one for a week or two, then switch it up and then eventually you kinda start to develop favourites and stick to them. But variety is good because your tackling different directions so I’d make sure the couple that you settle on aren’t crazy similar if that makes sense
I found your video super helpful. I’ve recently development a swaying sensation whenever I sit down to eat dinner. I’ve also gotten headaches or the need to lay down when watching my school lectures and reading assignments but often feel better when doing these activities laying down. We’re these some symptoms you’ve had? I’ve never felt these symptoms before the pandemic but I’m guessing since everything is going online I’ve developed this dizziness.
I started having panic attacks last year out of no where and it happened to me too. It was really bad months ago. It’s gotten a lot better but still there. I’m gonna try these exercises in hopes it gets even better! What I have tried is CBD, and Lions Mane supplements. If you try Lions Mane make sure to ask your dr first if you are on any other medications. It can interfere with some medicines. Good luck!
@@ankitsingh-oo2ec I’m sorry that you have similar symptoms. Hey! Been having constant ‘funny heads’ for the past 3 months, felt like I’ve had every motion possible in my head. I recently saw a ENT who diagnosed me with Vestibular Neuritis and have been having VRT with a physio for over a week now but the exercises have made my dizziness worse and even my headaches worse. I’m scared they’re not working and I’m never going to get better as it’s gone on for so long now. I feel like I’m going to be like this forever and can’t see a light at the end of the tunnel. Please help 😩
A week of exercises won't heal you, it took months for me to even see initial improvement when I did the VRT exercises- and its actually very common for movement excercises to initially make your dizziness worse as your body isn't used to it/you're basically triggering your symptoms. The idea is that the more you repeat the more your body becomes used to them/less reaction is triggered- so I would try and stick at them for a couple months and see if the flare up calms down, you got this!
Thank you. Are you fully recovered now? I just feel like I’m never going to get better and back to my normal self and it’s really scaring me and making me depressed 😩 I’m only 26 I don’t want this to be my life forever!
This is me too, I have felt every possible motion in my head to feeling like my brain is doing jumping jacks in my head, to feeling an empty brain feeling in my head to a blowing up balloon feeling in my brain to constant vein throbbing in my head. I have had it all and I am tired and exhausted. I have had multiple panic attacks. And no I just feel like I’m floating inside my body sometimes. It’s really scary 😢
@@mesarypaul5824how are your symptoms now? I feel the same way and I'm not sure what is causing it. It's very frustrating and stressful. Hope you're doing better now from your op.
Thanks, you are really helping people - that's a great thing! Do you find that your health anxiety (hypochondria) has improved by going through this healing process with PPPD? I feel like they are closely connected. In my case I think a couple of traumatic events set off the "vertigo". It's not even dizziness, more like a loss of confidence in my body movements, and also over-reacting to every little feeling or pain (which most people would just ignore).
I’m so glad! And yes definitelyyyyy, it’s a vicious cycle the symptoms make you more and more anxious but the anxiety is causing the symptoms! Don’t get me wrong even now where I don’t have dizziness 90% of the time, I still consider myself anxious but definitely not anywhere near to the extent I was when I had my symptoms! I’ve learnt that in those scary situations where symptoms were high, I needed to actually breathe as I’d forget to!
And yes same with me at first it started with just dizziness then after like a year I started feeling really sensitive to everything like loud sounds, bright lights, it’s like everything was amplified which would make me feel jumpy and on edge! I still get that feeling very occasionally but that’s just probably the remains of my anxiety hahah
Man i am really glad i found these videos. I’ve only had short spurts of this. I get vertigo cuz i have a hole in the bone in my right ear. But then that vertigo spirals into whatever THIS is. None of my symptoms match anything else. What made me think it this was this pppppd thing is heat. I overheat. To the point where my skin feels sunburned. Only anxiety causes that. Did you know 5% of al primary care visits are for dizziness. Isnt that wild? I had a terrible general panic disorder for about 8 years when i was young. Whats odd about this dizziness is i dont feel anxious. Its just there. And it does makes you disassociate. Like you are hyper aware of your own consciousness. These exercises help drastically. Even just for regular vertigo. If you’re reading this, hold tight. Its just anxiety. It will pass.
This is a Great video...Gone through very similar process over last few yrs.... Training your brain and getting it to tune out of it and keeping the anxiety levels down us a huge part too...
Im so thankful i found this video 🥺 I've been experiencing this for 4 months now, followed by my first major panic attack in my previous job. I have had my ears and eyes checked, ECG, blood test, CT Scan, but they couldn't find anything wrong. It's kinda hard to find a vestibular therapist where I'm from. Extremely thankful for this! ❤️
@@Rose-gc8og hi! Grateful to say that I have recovered! The exercises are indeed helpful, but also changing jobs (work environment) actually helped me the most. Changing my diet also helped too.
Thank you ♥️
Hi there, thank you for your story. About how long did you use the ssri before weening off if it?
I get tension headaches too. I'm hoping this is what I'm suffering from.
I have the exact same sypmtoms since the last five years, and i have just been prescribed cipralix ( SSRI) 5mg daily, i'm really scared to take it, did you experience any side effects?
Thank you
Could you explain the withdrawal symptoms? Do you mean you were addicted to the SSRI and without them
The symptômes were coming back or you just craved them ?
May I know are you recovered?
Thank you so much for this really. I'm 18 and I started having these symptoms since getting the worst panic attack ever, plus anxiety and paranoia from a previous traumatic event. I will be doing my best to practice the exercises u demonstrated, hopefully it works out.

(I also have an ear infection at the moment so it's contributing to the dizziness.)
As the day went on, I started getting the blurred vision again.

I think I need to see a physiotherapist who specalises in vertigo. The neurologist doesn't want to see me again he said. I don't know where to turn.

I'm more determined now to seek vestibular therapy (as was previously recommended by an ENT), and hopefully stop annoying my boyfriend, and myself, with dizziness complaints 😋
You regain a sense of power when you know you're not alone! THANK YOU! ❤
hello did you recover?
My boyfriend was fed up with me too and kept telling me it’s in my head including the doctors
@@milicadodic8241 yes he yelled at me when I was having an attack once and said I needed to be an adult for once and I had a nervous breakdown and we argued but he ended begging me to forgive him and was sorry for his lack of support. Hi nightlex. May I ask are you recovered?

@@rachellepolandaya6067 hi how are u feeling?
Thank you so much, you’ve helped so many of us. what an angel 💖
🥺🥺made my day!! ❤️
I’ve just been diagnosed with PPPD this is a huge help whilst I’m waiting for apt to Balance Clinic for therapy
Yay I’m so glad!!
I'm curious how often you have had flare ups. I've been dealing with this for the last 3 years. The exercises really work and as you said, continuing to do your day to day things works. I have gotten back to 100% but then I have flare ups where my vision gets all blurred and then my anxiety just takes off. I'm curious what you've done during flares and how long it has taken you to get back to 100%
Boost your immune system with vitamins..or...try to eat veggies or green smoothies
Hey! i had flare ups once a month for about 5-7 days where I’d struggle to walk/get out of bed due to very intense head symptoms. I’d say after about 3 months of doing the VR exercises the flare ups stopped so I just had a more constant lower level of dizziness from then on. Took 7 months to feel dizziness free and be able to do more ‘normal’ life things without feeling restricted!
Yess eating well really affects how your body feels and functions!
@sarah Lucas you said 3years pppd and you got 100% normal please what helped you to get back to normal ? Is there any special key for you ?
@@narek2901 I have the exact same problem, I’m so scared to go to school because I have no idea how I’m gonna react
thank you so much for this!
Same im 3 years having this kind of dizziness me also have panic attack little bit, and the anxiety
Ok, bye! Jeanne :)
@@jeannes.356 aaaaaah that’s so great to hear! U gotta go keep doing them! Just don’t give up! U got this! Thanks for showing me this btw :)!!!!
@@cheesedippers2094 thank you! "you got this" has been the new mantra I've been telling myself! Whoa! You got this too! Sending you a hug!
@@EMJAYstyles Thank you so much! This means a lot.
It’s crazy to see how many people are going through this 😢 it’s so disorientating what we go through on daily 😖

Haihhh.. Same
You truly are a lifesaver, i've spent sp many months wondering whether thid was because of my anxiety or the other way around...
I’m
In the same boat! How did you manage to control your migraines!?
Many thanks I have have suffered with this problem for many years and been told by my GP that there is no cure and will have to live with it I'm going to give it a try many thanks
Good luck you got this!
the cure is "habituation" just like having tinnitus. eventually your brain will accept it and wont fight it like its attacking you. it just takes time. it took me 6 months to habituate to tinnitus when got it in 2017. it was a living hell at first and the eventually tinnitus just became a part of me and never bothers me ever rly anymore. i recently developed this pppd now too. so im going through the process all over again...but i can tell the recovery is the same method as tinnitus. u just have to gut it out the first few months. the only difference is with this disorder u have to actually do exercises with tinnitus u didnt
Hi how are you now ? Did you continue exercises? Are you back to normal ?
@@EMJAYstyles OK, thank you for your reply!
Hi Gemma, how are you doing now?
I am a filmaker, but i have literally subscribed to your channel because of this
Aww I hope you find my content helpful!!
It’s common for this to be better when laying down. Idk why tho
Good luck!

Thank you so much for this , I have a vestibular disorder I have my VRT appointment in 2 weeks .. I get the swaying sensation , hot flashes , brain fog and anxiety.. I really hope it works .. thank you for this !!
@@jonathanfiel6215 I saw a neurologist yesterday she said I had both chronic migraines and severe panic disorder
Now I have some hope for handling this! Thank you.
You got this x
You are absolutely amazing to share all this info to help people suffering from this !! Thank u so much 🥰

Oh I’m so glad they work for vertigo too that’s amazing!!

I have a cousin that experienced this too- she told me that recovering from the dizziness takes time. Try to write down what triggers your dizziness the most- from there you can figure out how to help yourself as I did (because doctors where I'm from didn't help as much)
Please don't stress yourself too much.
