Honestly kind of weird to me that I’m just now seeing this video. Silke, I just want to thank you for helping me with my journey of healing from CFS. Your ASMR videos helped me out so much when I first started this process a couple years ago. I got out the US military about a year ago. I was in a special operations unit, and even with the usual stress of working in a setting like that I had the added stress of not truly fitting in there. After my first deployment I decided I just couldn’t do the infantry stuff anymore and quit my ‘cool guy’ job for an office job in the same unit. The dissonance between my souls yearnings and the duties of that job just became too much to cope with. When I quit my infantry role a lot of people took it personally and a some seemed to want to make my life hell after the fact so it wasn’t exactly a healthy work environment. The height of my battle with CFS was when my nervous system was just buzzing all day from being on edge. I would put on your ASMR videos to fall asleep every night. If I didn’t I just could not get out of my head. I eventually started learning about all of the techniques you were talking about in your videos which lead to picking up a meditation routine which has been huge. It’s like the ASMR videos you make were my training wheels to get to where I actually learned about down regulating my nervous system on my own haha. Ultimately though this is 98% lifestyle changes. I’ve had to let go of a ton of limiting beliefs, old behavior patterns, and friendships that weren’t serving me anymore, but the universe was just waiting for me to open the space in my life to allow new ones in. I’ve started looking back on my battle with CFS, and more and more I’m coming to the conclusion that CFS isn’t a ‘disorder’ or something wrong… it’s the human organism rejecting modern living. For whatever reason a lot of people in our generation just can’t seem to handle the expectations placed on us by society, and when we deny those urges for so long to ‘play by the rules’ it catches up to us eventually. I do think the up tick in CFS could have something to do with humanities evolution and returning to our roots. The way we’ve been operating as a species isn’t sustainable on any level - personally, societally, or ecologically - and my guess is that CFS is a physical/emotional/spiritual manifestation of that pattern of behavior. As much as I wouldn’t wish CFS on anyone it is very cool to me that the people who learn the ride the wave so to speak always come out on the other side truer to who they are, and more in alignment with the gifts they’re meant to give to the world. Thank you so much for sharing this! I’ve had POTS for 11 or 12 years now and the fatigue has been debilitating at times. I love Raelan’s channel too. It’s so empowering to hear the recovery stories and makes me very happy to hear yours 💕
Wonderful to hear a recovery story, thanks for sharing and being vulnerable. For me, I've gone a lot of work on my mind especially lately, but the cause if my CFS was childhood cancer and ive suffered for 26 years with no change, in fact im in the worst crash I've ever been in. I've always had a good diet, I'm now GF and DF, I have insulin resistance as well.
@@rachelmoore5079 Do NOT suggest that to people. Especially someone whose had cancer! Red meat and eggs are carcinogenic, for gods sake! You should be suggesting a whole food plant based diet, which has many many studies proving how beneficial it is. The carnivore diet is not healthy or sustainable. No fruit, no vegetables. How tf is that healthy? It's not.
I’ve been starting to follow you more as I gain insight in how to release trauma, invite more joy, and live life on my own terms. I appreciate your honesty and also all the effort you put in to sharing the experience. It’s been a tough giving permissions to have a self paced life. I’m currently exhausted and in college myself to initiate freedom to feel safe in my community, like really have a global community that allows this rebirth to come through.
Thank you so much for this video. It totally resonates with me. My first symptoms of CFS started in 2018 and my greatest wish is one day to also say "I consider myself as fully recovered". Just the thought of it brings tears to my eyes. You talk about creating a life that you want and enjoy and I´m fully with you. But I see it as a hen-and-egg problem or viscious circle - creating a life that I want promotes healing, but in order to create a life that I want (do the things I love) I need to be (more) healthy. For example for doing the job that I love and go to places that I enjoy, I need to be healthy first.
@ I wish I could say I’m doing well, I’m still trying to find a good pacing routine even now 🙈 I’ve had a couple of set backs this year 😩 hope you are well yourself?
@@Livingthefreelife yes, also suffering since 2016. I can kinda manage to live a "normal" life. Came a long way to this recovery. Some days are still really hard but it used to be way worse. I noticed stress to really flare up my symptoms. We can do it! Stay positive.

What an amazing vlog!!! You touched on SO many areas that are relavant to me. Especially loved the part about neuro plasticity, trauma and the nervous system. Your description of it was super helpful and also so many on point resources. I got my notebook 1/3 of the way in, lol. I just discovered you a few days ago but I’m subscribed & signing up for alerts. Honestly, I’m at a kind of low point and this was perfect! Thanks for sharing with us. You seem really kind too. ♡ Ps, Everything you said was on point, including about learning that some reactions, like feeling sleepy sometimes in the middle of the day, are normal! It’s like we forget that in our fear state.
This really impacted me. I had glandular fever as a teenager and honestly have always felt sick and tired since then and I’m 32 now! Thanks for this video.
Thank you for sharing your story. I am currently feeling very frustrated because I have been in a major flare up of my CFS symptoms. I learned in 2022 about CFS being caused by a hypersensitive nervous system that's putting me into a freeze response - and I've been trying to calm my nervous system and respond well to symptoms, but I feel like I haven't made much progress at all in a year and a half. In fact I feel quite hopeless at the moment, like I don't even want to be alive if it means I feel like this all the time. It feels like I don't even have the energy to breathe properly. My life is passing me by and I spend most of the day in bed. I can't even clean out my disgusting fridge because I have no energy to do so. I am thinking that maybe what I need to try is somatic exercises to release trauma from my body. Lord knows I have had enough trauma in my life. Calming my nervous system hasn't seemed to work on my own. I will look into the trauma aspect, thank you.
Thats because you problaby have MEcfs and this women experienced chronic faltige, which can have a lot of causes. She most likely has some sort of burnout with Adrenalin fatigue. I make this assumption because 1. a neuroinflammatory disease cannot be cured by „Brain retraining“. Just as you cant heal HIV by „Brain retraining“ or cancer = if you heal your Symptoms by guided meditations and breathwork you do not have MECfS. Its really that simple. Sadly these Kind of people, who have mental issues, are often Diagnosed with mecfs because most mental conditions come Hand in Hand with fatigue, uninformed doctors are quick to Diagnose mecfs. Which is a seperate diagnosis to what this women was experiencing.
It's important to understand that these are all things that helped for her. There is no scientific proof for any of this. That doesn't mean it can't help to look into those things. But you have to be careful because more stress or activity can make your condition worsen. Personally, I have CFS ME and I fully recognise your struggle. There is also growing proof that deceases like CFS ME and long Covid have a biological basis. So it is not just a case of mindset.

Thank you for sharing your story and journey. It’s really important that more people learn about nervous system recovery for CFS and related illnesses.
Very helpful and inspiring video. Thank you for sharing your experience and your journey, and I'm thrilled for you that you have healed. High five! There's so many aspects to this condition, that's what makes it tricky. We all have our own unique path and journey. We are all wired in a different and unique way, so yes! There's no magic pill, specific diet and linear path to this; just like life is not linear. We constantly change, evolve and grow. Much love. 🦋 🌷
The resting can make things worse because laying wrong can affect the cervical spine. If the cervical spine becomes misaligned and starts pushing nerves and spinal canal, brain stem it can affect the body’s ability to recover because those regulate recovery, nutrient usage and rebuilding processes
The neck spine especially near the head needs to be in good condition for good muscle performance and strength. Injuries there and injuries to the nerves can trigger fight or flight symptoms.

In an extreme CFS and MS flare up for years, fully bed bound, can’t even take care of basic needs and people in my life left so just in bed 24/7 .. done a lot of nervous system work, diet , medical interventions … worst of it , is being completely left alone to deal with it, mine has progressed significantly, so at this point I don’t even live anymore!
Thanks so much for sharing, this is a really helpful video! I'll be sharing it in some ME/CFS Recovery groups. Btw I can't see the link to your breathwork/forgiveness video.
Exactly my experience and conclusions too. Im still healing, but know its just a matter of time until fully healed, now that I can see the whole picture, and most importantly see it in myself. Glad to see someone explaining it in this way and emphasizing the mental/emotional/spiritual component. I feel like it is at the heart of so many illnesses. Best wishes 🧡🌈
@Silke 🙋🏻♀️ please share the link or name of the breath work video ? Or what are your recommendations around which breath work or type you found helpful?
Even Joey Carbstrong (A vegan leader) says he would eat meat in a survival situation. Your CFS is a survival situation so morally it is ok to eat fish and eggs in that case because you need it to live life normally. The fish especially high in Omega 6 is anti-inflammatory which would help, and the eggs are an extremely bioavailable natural multivitamin so you are going to get everything you need instead of urinating out a multivitamin.
Aloha, i found you from your reiki asmr for throat, i am currently out for 3 days clearing out literally in my throat and felt called to your main channel. I am also a splenic projector who wants to live in a jungle and have a lil farm n home lol thank u for sharing this
Thanks for sharing your experience and your recovery process ! That’s gives so much hope, Nevertheless I don’t think that working on nervous system could be enough for everyone to heal. Even if I totally agree with the fact that permanent stress and trauma are a main factors in CFS.
Right, I've seen chemiclas, exposures. Medication, suppliments and even foods cause or bring on CFS. Not just stress. But physical stress so the body isn't "fine"
How did the curable app helped you? Did it just help with pain since the focus of the app is on it or do you think it has also an universal approach against any chronic illnes which is triggered by an overdominating parasympathic system/ irregulated autonomous nervous system like cfs? I would like to give it a chance but the emphasis of it seems just on pain but there should be brain retraining elements to be also useful for cfs/ ptsd? Thanks alot for your video by the way. You gave me more the focus to work on the psychological sides. :)
Did you ever feel chronically dehydrated? I think that's a big issue for me too, which affects directly my nervous system. But an ANS dysfunction and over-reaction is definitely the main thing for me too. Thanks for the video.
About 30 seconds before you mentioned Human Design I was curious if you were a non-energy type! I’m a Projector too and that recognition been life changing for me. I’m so glad you’re feeling better! Thank you for sharing your journey!
Hi!, I wanted to ask a few things because I appreciated this video but am also a little confused about some things...(also, it's hard to show expression through typing but this is NOT meant to be offensive!!)...so you mentioned that once you started living your life more in alignment with what you wanted to do, you felt better? Did you not like being a yoga instructor?, and what did you do for work with your job that you felt was more you? Also what pushed you to make the decision to make a big move with CFS (I guess as someone who also has bouts of it, moving hasn't seemed like a good idea because it can be really stressful, both times I've moved with CFS before things got worse). And am a little unclear about what specifically you did after the breathwork class to continue to recover. Will for sure listen to that podcast and get that book, thank you and glad you recovered!
All the breathe work and self realizing exercises are fantastic and can only improve ones health however we biologically function well or not and that's primary. Imo. I've struggled with this condition and I'm of the mind that we are experiencing malnutrition and toxic burden. A doctors test saying you are not nutrient deficient is worthless. The standard for a healthy diet and nutrition baseline is grossly inadequate. Thank you for sharing your story we never know what will be of service to another
I actually see it come on after taking antibiotics, even natural ones, and things like tylonol. So I don think it's just fight or flight or that all of our bodies are fine, mine clearly doesn't seem to be processing chemicals fine at all
I agree and totally get what's she's saying and also know that there are physical deficiencies, and things functioning incorrectly from what I've learned from Dr. Teitelbaum, we must hit every level, mental, physical, emotional, spiritual, snd and even finicial.
I find these and similar stories frustrating " and then i released my trauma " as if it were that easy.? Ive been trying to release trapped trauma for years without success. Would that i could go to one breathwork session , and bingo!! Out it comes.
I can totally tell you have so much more energy! You seem to be talking a bit faster! Quick question - did you feel like the pandemic had an effect on your energy?
If you been feeling good for a few weeks, you haven't fully recovered. Less than 5% of people with ME-CFS fully recover. I have had ME-CFS for over 20 years and I can tell you that it comes and goes. I just went nearly 3 years in remission and it came back worse than ever less than 2 months ago and it's touch and go now, with the fatigue basically keeping me from doing anything. I don't mean to be negative, just being honest.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I too have had ME/CFS for about 20 years, diagnosed 7 years ago. I have thought I was better a few times but it always came back, and even worse. I would appreciate it if you could share what it was that made it come back for you after 3 years in remission. Did you push yourself too hard?
I don't buy into any recovery story unless they are working a real job 45+ hours a week and I have yet to see one. I am on year 50 of ME/CFS, and have had a half dozen 2-3 year periods when I could work full time. You can delude yourself to greatness for stretches, but "Full Recovery" and "Cured" are not terms anyone should use for ME/CFS.

Getting high quality sleep 7-9 hours of sleep, getting healthy sun exposure. Don’t listen to any stuff that’s negative, it will just drain you. Also starting a gratefulness practice, has been shown to have so many benefits with mood, life satisfaction, depression, anxiety, etc. also not believing every stupid thought that comes into our mind. Not every thought is true, accurate. So reframe the negative thoughts/fears into something more accurate and productive. A great resource is people who do brain retraining. So just search up brain retraining on IG or RUclips

Diebetes causes fatigue anyway had CFS 27 years fybromyalgia 6 see Dr Sarah myhill
Try carnivore diet
How are you doing now?💕
I’ve had CFS since 2016. This video gives me sooooo much hope!! Thank you so much for sharing your story 🥰

@ I’m the same, thankfully not bed bound anymore but some days are so hard. I couldn’t agree more. We are warriors. I hope you’re feeling better soon ❤️
Thats fantastic! Its true, chronic stress for whatever reason is devastating. I think I need to read that book.
I've been in a massive flare up with my CFS for well over a year now so I'm so excited to watch this!!! 💛💛💛
Awe I'm sorry to hear that! Hopefully some of the things I mentioned in this video will help you out. Sending you lots of luck for your recovery ahead ❤️🥰🌸
Flares for any dysfunction of our body can be so long can’t they? Hope your doing better. Peace and health.

Should have called this video “ how I manage my CFS “.
Ps, Everything you said was on point, including about learning that some reactions, like feeling sleepy sometimes in the middle of the day, are normal! It’s like we forget that in our fear state.
This really impacted me. I had glandular fever as a teenager and honestly have always felt sick and tired since then and I’m 32 now! Thanks for this video.

You have virus. Read medical medium books. You can heal
What's helped me with that aspect is a book called "Letting Go" By David Hawkins. See if that helps.
@@maries8802literally stfu you have no idea what you’re even talking about
It's important to understand that these are all things that helped for her.
Thank yoy so much for this vídeo, Silke. You have been an inspiration for me in my recovery from fibromyalgia and I'm at a similar place as you. I'm so happy that you are feeling better! Lots of love from Brazil.
It's so nice to see other people other be at a similar place to Silke, it really gives me hope for my future with CFS and fibro so thanks for sharing! 💛
Amazing recovery story. Chronic stress is definitely the main issue!
This is awesome! Healing my nervous system was a big part of my recovery from Long Covid! There were other elements too, I had to heal my body first, and then I was left with CFS for two years. I just published my own recovery video too - it's great to share!

I love your ASMR reiki videos and, as a fellow limbic/nervous system retrainer (in my case through the DNRS), I could recognize that many of the things you say along the sessions are super aligned with the self-directed neuroplasticity core principles and practices! Way to go dear Silke, I am thrilled for you! Now, ready, set... glow! ❤
Thank you so much for sharing about this incredibly important topic ❤
I’m so happy for you that you’ve healed!! I’ve been watching your channel for a long time and have followed along with this journey of yours, and it’s so amazing that you’ve gotten to this place 💝💖
also, I found your channel shortly after I went vegan so you’ve been huge inspiration for me with that lifestyle shift too. at first, when you announced you weren’t fully plant based anymore, I will admit I was sad to read it.. but you truly tried to heal while still plant based, for so long, and I have massive respect for that. at the end of the day, we’re all just doing what we can & you’ve got to do what’s best for you ✨ wishing you even more growth and healing along your path, Silke! 💐🕊
Thank you very much for charing your story. I guess my Long COVID is related to my damaged nervus system as well. Bevor I catched the virus I had a stressy live and at that moment when I had corona, I acted very scary and fearful.
Much love. 🦋 🌷
So true about rest. I rest to get through, but it doesn’t solve the problem because I have to recover after any major tasks.
🙏 In stead of “happy new year”, I would like to say “ happy new life” . If this makes sense to you 🙏
The resting can make things worse because laying wrong can affect the cervical spine.
Thank you for sharing your journey! You sparkle!
I really needed this. Everything you’ve said I relate to and inspires me

Exactly my experience and conclusions too. Im still healing, but know its just a matter of time until fully healed, now that I can see the whole picture, and most importantly see it in myself.
Glad to see someone explaining it in this way and emphasizing the mental/emotional/spiritual component.

Very happy to know you recovered! Do you have tips for fibromyalgia?
Thank you and well done on your recovery. Please shy away from official stats. Re recovery!
Prayers for continued healing in Jesus' name.

I definitely have c.f need to hear this
Hi!, I wanted to ask a few things because I appreciated this video but am also a little confused about some things...(also, it's hard to show expression through typing but this is NOT meant to be offensive!!)...so you mentioned that once you started living your life more in alignment with what you wanted to do, you felt better?
Thank you for this video.
Waauw ❤️

Can i ask over what period did you get to your new baseline? I just need to know at what pace we should be moving at ,thank you xx
