The werewolf's name is Jack Russell, he's a good boy. The character is 50 yrs old and Moon Knight debuted in his comic.
In the comics, Man-Thing (Ted) was a scientist who was working to recreate the super-soldier serum. On the run from the terrorist group AIM, who was trying to steal it, he burned his notes and injected himself with the only sample, but then he got in a flaming car crash and was transformed into the Man-Thing. Comics Man-Thing is usually essentially mindless, and just aimlessly wanders around the Everglades. However, he's also empathic, and is drawn to any strong emotions. He's particularly sensitive to - and enraged by - fear, which causes him to secrete a corrosive substance that he uses to destroy the source of fear. (Hence his tagline, "Whoever knows fear burns at the touch of Man-Thing!")
I love how even though Elsa has the bloodstone in her back pocket she refuses to use it when Jack comes at her. Despite how little she's known him, she's actually trusting him to not kill her. I would love to see these two intact again.
"looks like Michael J. Fox" - you're just subconsciously remembering Teen Wolf
The "monster" is Man-Thing, which is Marvel's version of Swamp-Thing. He was previously a human named Theodore "Ted" Sallis.
Just wanted to point out to everyone that Man Thing came out first, and while I do like Swamp Thing and what they've done with the character, it's almost like DC can't help themselves but turn their heroes into low-level gods. I like that Man Thing is "just" a monster, mostly.
Man Thing came first🥴✌️
The tagline of Man-Thing's comic was "Whatever knows fear will burn at the Man-Thing's touch".
Man-Thing came out decades before Swamp Thing
@@robertsanssouci2093 Decades? No. Man-Thing's first appearance was May 1971, and Swamp Thing came out two MONTHS later in July 1971.
My favorite scene is when Jack (Gael Garcia Bernal) is talking about family and then also when he’s explaining his humanity in the cage. He’s a wonderful actor.
It so perfectly hits the tone of those old Universal monster movies from the 40s-60s. Music, look, title cards, all of it. And the little pops and cigarette burns in the film... man.
The Universal 1941 The Wolf Man film was used as inspiration for the Werewolf form.
So, you spotted that Jack does the dog-like scratch behind his ear. But earlier, when he and Elsa are talking in the Bloodstone family crypt?
He *turns around an extra time before sitting down*! 🤣
Yes, Giacchino crushed it! He totally melded sound, image, movement, and story into a beautiful, clean, and tight show that I just fell in love with! I knew you’d like it too. I even liked the addition of the duel real change spots in the upper right corner. So imaginative. The action was great, and not drawn out until you just don’t care anymore. Ted was “Man-Thing” who is Marvel’s version of “Swamp Thing.” I loved both protagonists . . . Elsa was kick-butt and my new crush. Jack the Werewolf is fantastic and must appear, hopefully with Ted or Elsa, again because I love’em!!! Keep up the great reactions, Angela!
Actually Manthing came before swamp thing
Jack (Werewolf by Night) is played by the Mexican actor, Gael García Bernal. To English speakers he's known for being the voice of Hector from the Pixar movie _Coco._ He played Che Guevara in the movie _The Motorcycle Diaries._ He starred in the Mexican movie _Amores Perros_ which was directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu who also directed _Birdman, The Revenant, 21 Grams,_ and _Babel._ Gael also started in the Mexican movie _Y Tu Mamá También_ alongside with Diego Luna (Cassian Andor), the film was directed by Alfonso Cuarón who also directed _Roma, Gravity,_ and _Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban._ Geal García Bernal and Diego Luna have been really close friends since childhood.
Along with Jonathan Pangborn actor Benjamin Bratt in Doctor Strange doing the voice of Ernesto de la Cruz in Coco.
funnylilgalreacts: "I was kinda expecting it to be more intense"
Also funnylilgalreacts: [REPEATED SCREAMING]
😂😂😂
It was indeed Michael Giacchino’s homage to to the classic Universal Monster films. Also, the Werewolf by Night comics introduced the character Moon Knight. Elsa Bloodstone is a classic Marvel hero as well as Man-Thing (Ted Salas, a scientist transformed into the creature during a super soldier experiment gone wrong). Man-Thing also controls the Nexus of reality.
The also introduced Tigra (formerly the Cat) in an issue of Giant Sized Monsters where she had to fight Jack.
And who could forget the introduction of Howard the Duck…?(sorry bout that…)😂
Thumbs up to Ted's expression when she says his name .... 😆
The MCU should make this into a mini series that comes out every October!
Gael Garcia Bernal, who played Jack, is one of the great living actors, but he's mostly in Spanish-speaking roles. He and Laura Donnelly really blew me away in this. But every performance, and really pretty much every element of this special, was so good. If Giacchino has time and the desire, I'd love to see him tabbed for Blade, after seeing this.
This was an amazing special. I think the MCU looked at the success of this and is realizing that it doesn't have to do all its Disney+ non-movies as shows. Some of them would be better introduced as a special presentation. Of course, we still need the shows :). Looking forward to getting interactions between Blade, Werewolf by Night, Moon Knight and eventually a Midnight Son's team up
Really so glad you watched this. I thought it was inventive and creative and amazing. So glad Marvel is going into the horror genre. Werewolf by Night was a comic book, and he often teamed up with Moonknight. Ted was actually a comic character called Man-Thing.
All indications are that they're building to a Midnight Sons feature, with Dr Strange, Moon Knight, Werewolf by Night, Black Knight and Blade teased in Eternals, and a rumoured Ghost Rider casting. Also, Man Thing is Marvel's version of Swamp Thing.
EDIT: It's not canon, but I'd love to see Katherine Hahn's Agatha Harkness in Midnight Sons too.
@@peterbrazukas7771 The Midnight Sons would be an awesome addition to the MCU.
@@ashbysmith1723 Midnight Sons without Johnny Blaze is lame.
The actor with the white beard is frequent Muppets collaborator Kirk Thatcher. He co-wrote Muppets Treasure Island. He's directed a few Muppet things too, including that great Bohemian Rhapsody video a few yrs ago.
He's also the punk with the boombox on the bus who gets nerve pinched by Spock in Star Trek IV.
I didn't know he was involved with the Muppets, though!
@@AriMarmell He also wrote and recorded the song playing on the boombox, "I Hate You," easily the best punk song ever written.
This and Moon Knight were my most anticipated projects of phase four since I love the supernatural side of Marvel. Michael Giacchino delivers. I’m hoping he does more Halloween Specials for Frankenstein’s monster and N’Kantu the living mummy.
Moon Knight's 1st appearance was in Werewolf by Night in the 70s. As his silver costume and weapons were basically drawn to make him the ultimate antagonist to Jack Russell (Werewolf by Night). But that was before they'd actually given Moon Knight a real name, Marc Spector, and his back story dying at the alter of the statue of Konshu. That came 2 years later after that 1st appearance.
Ulysses Bloodstone was basically the big Marvel Monster Hunter until he died around 2000. He had the Bloodstone embedded in his chest in the comics. It allowed him to live for thousands of years, and have super healing and minor super human strength and reflexes, on the level of Captain America. When he died most of the Bloodstone was destroyed. Elsa Bloodstone has existed for about 20 years, and has been Marvel's big monster hunter since the death of her dad. She wears a fragment of the Bloodstone around her neck in a chocker, which gives her it's power, but she also has some power from her father having the power of the Bloodstone when conceiving her. She's has dyed red hair in the comics. And if you have a switch she's a playable character in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3.
Ted, Dr. Theodore Sallis, is the Man-Thing. Marvel's protector of the Nexus of Realities. Has a bunch of plant based powers like DC's Swamp Thing and their origin in the swamps is very similar( Man Thing was a scientist killed in the Florida Everglades in a swamp while working on a secret government formula, Swamp Thing was a scientist killed in the Louisiana swamps while working on a secret government formula! 😂). And that's because they were created 3 months apart in the early 70s. As the original artists of both characters were roommates in New York. Man Thing was created 1st though. I'm sure there are some videos on RUclips about their shared creation.
I hope they will put Werewolf by Night in Moon Knight Season 2 and Man-Thing own series before Werewolf by Night.
One of the best thing that happened in the MCU. Such a masterpiece.💯👌🏼
They got you with all the jump scares...even the intro slashes lol.
This was such a cool feature. Love black & white with just a touch of color. Reminds me of Sin City. I wish it was 30 minutes longer just for a bit more of world building.
Nice Simpsons reference btw. Imo, pants are for people with something to hide lol
Thanks for the reaction
This is probably my fave Marvel thing in ages.
Gael Garcia Bernal is a fantastic actor. His first huge role was in "Y tu maman tambien", but he also was the voice of Hector in "Coco".
Loved your spot on analysis.
Nah it was actually amores perros. Even though he was already known because he started in telenovelas as a kid. Plus his parents are well known.
Along with Jonathan Pangborn actor Benjamin Bratt in Doctor Strange doing the voice of Ernesto de la Cruz in Coco.
Laura Donnelly is also the lead in the absolutely brilliant "The Nevers", which I think you'd love to react to!
Michael Giacchino composed Coco and Gael García Bernal played Héctor!
Along with Jonathan Pangborn actor Benjamin Bratt in Doctor Strange doing the voice of Ernesto de la Cruz.
You mentioned Elsa’s Black Widow moves. I’ve never read the comics but I sorta wonder if maybe she is. When talking to her step-mother she said she didn’t get HIS training which makes me wonder if maybe there’s a Black Widow connection there.
I think this is one of the best things Marvel has put out in a long time!Absolutely loved it!I want more!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This was so, so, SO GOOD!! It's one of my absolute favorite things that Marvel has done!! They nailed it with Man-Thing, who is my favorite Marvel monster; he just looked so good! And yes, Michael Giacchino completely knocked it out of the park!! If you're a fan of his (and who isn't), I encourage you to watch the Disney+ documentary on him, "Director by Night." It is amazing! Great reactions as always! 😁
This sets up the supernatural side of the MCU so well. I can’t wait to see more Jack Russell, Elsa Bloodstone, and Man-Thing (Dr. Ted Sallis).
Wait his name is Jack Russell???!!! I'm laughing and saying "aww" at the same time 🤣
@@funnylilgalreacts yup! And it’s crazy that there are TVA agents working at the house.

More Man Thing please!
Never saw the trailer either, so I didn’t know he was going to be in this.
I was a huge fan of Man Thing as a teen (dating myself here as that comic ran way back in the ‘70’s) and was thoroughly disappointed by the 2005 Brett Leonard film adaptation. So I was beyond delighted when he turned up here, looking better than I remember.
And yes, Michael Giacchino crushed it in every way possible. My fave soundtrack of his was actually “The Incredibles”. Just as this was an homage to old Universal monster movies, the “Incredibles” soundtrack was at times an homage to the James Bond soundtracks of John Barry. If you haven’t seen it yet, “The Incredibles” would make a terrific reaction for you.
Knowing that he can direct too gives me a whole new level of respect for the man.
"Do you want to sniff her butt?"... So funny to me. Great reaction, so engaged, with the jump scares and the "Oowww.." with Man Thing and all.
Two things that blew me away about this. Man-Thing was a practical costume with CGI enhancements and the shadow transformation was done in one shot in camera
Werewolf and MoonKnight had a long history in comic. So, Now I'm waiting to see each other interacting. And by the way that creature was Man Thing. And he is a very powerful being in marvel comic.
So like you saw this was all directed by Michael Giacchino this being is first big time director role. He composed the intro music to the MCU along with the soundtracks to The Batman, UP, Ratatouille, J.J. Abrams Star Trek trilogy, Rogue One, MCU Spider-Man films, Jojo Rabbit, The Incredibles 2, and the first Medal of Honor game to name a few. Werewolf by Night no wonder the music is heavily ingrained to the visuals. Man-Thing (Theodore Sallis) was a great surprise no doubt we'll see them again in a Midnight Suns project or there own series as that would be amazing something more mature and brutal.
Fun fact: Man-Thing was introduced in the comics a couple of years before Mr Snuffleupagus was invented on Sesame Street.
He did FRINGE??! Oh my gosh I LOVE that show, had no idea he did the music, so cool!!
While i didn't grew up on the 1930s/40s horror films, this honestly works for these certain supernatural/monster characters from Marvel comics.
Hopefully we'll see Werewolf by Night, Elsa Bloodstone, and Man-Thing again in the MCU. Maybe in the Blade film probably?
How about Marvel's Midnight Sons.

Don't be terrified of Ted! The tag-line of his comic was: Whoever knows fear burns at the touch of.... MAN-THING! Which is unfortunate, because he looks utterly terrifying.
"Good luck. I'll be ... rotting from you."
Crypt Keeper is a Marvel property ...
If you like this in black and white, then I think you will enjoy it in color. Another thing, I never seen someone's face light up and heart melt over Man-Thing's acid touch. Welcome to the club Monster Kid!
For me the score in this is everything. It's cool seeing a composer move up to directing. That's super rare even though the jobs are not that dissimilar. I love how big the swells are and the way the tension is rooted in the music. The soundtrack is just chewing up the scenery and I love it.
I hope Michael Giacchino makes more marvel special presentations like this I'd love a Manthing prequel spin-off movie or a 2 hour black and white legion of monsters or Midnight Sons movie that releases theatrically it could be a fun time at the theaters
Man-Thing is a different flavor. It's mostly weirdness than classic monster fair. Howard the Duck is from his comic.
Yup
In the comics Ted's full name is Doctor Ted Sallis, and he's transformed into The Man-Thing. You weren't far off when you called him Swamp Thing; the two characters debuted at almost the exact same time and have almost identical origins. It's crazy. Great reaction as always.
PS: Ted holds the record for dirtiest Marvel title. His extra large issues were boldly titled GIANT SIZE MAN-THING. 🤣
WWbN was one of my favorite comics growing up. There were changes made to him and Man-Thing (Ted) and I did not feel my childhood betrayed by this movie at all, in fact I 🎉 celebrate this… I loved it.
Glad you liked it as well.
'home slice' perfect! This was so great from marvel. Love the genres they're playing with. Well shot and acted. Great reaction
Omg Fringe was like my favorite show on air during the time it was coming out.
Ted (Man-Thing) is a product of the Super Soldier Serum and a swamp.
FRINGE is one of the most underrated series of all time! So good to see there are still good "Fringers" out there. Cheers !!
Ted and Jack are such a great little duo.
10:40 "I don't like you."
Wait about 5 seconds.
I so enjoyed your reaction to this, as I knew little about this other than the characters names when I saw it. Brilliantly done! The lighting techniques, the use of black & white, the shadows. Also, it was pointed out to me that things didn’t pop color, the bloodstone, until Elsa arrived. At the end, it was like the dark cloud of her family was lifted and the color that was there was finally revealed when Elsa sat and realized she was free, like Ted. I loved it and your reaction made me smile.
WHOA! I was not prepared for that stank face after the "rotting for you" joke (fair reaction though)
"Those that know fear burn at the touch of Man-Thing." Certainly an usual superpower for a giant hulking mass of moss but that is his main thing.
I first thought it was blood with that head crunch but then I remembered that bit of Man-Thing lore. In color, I think the fire would be green.... mixed with red.
Lots of red.
Great reaction. I loved this special. It was classic old school horror with some modern elements. The fight scenes were incredible. Elsa was bad ass and Man-thing/Ted looked amazing.
So great! Seeing man-thing and Elsa Bloodstone were amazing, almost moreso than Jack himself.
This special was such an absolute DELIGHT. Hoping we see Ted, Elsa, and Jack in an eventual Midnight Sons since Moon Knight, Blade, Doc Strange, and Morbius are all former teammembers as well as those three (and many many others)
"I was kind of expecting it to being a little bit more intense."
Instantly frightened by intense jump scare...
I really liked this special as it homes in on my love of the classic monsters and spooky atmosphere. I hope that this opens the door for another occult Marvel characters (Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, Ghost Rider, Brother Voodoo, and The Zombie among others) and helps bring their darkness to the main MCU.
As others may have mentioned previously Ted is formally known as the Man-Thing (full name Dr. Theodore Sallis) was another in a long list of scientists working on replicating the Super Soldier Serum. Unfortunately Ted's laboratory was attacked by A.I.M. (last seen in Iron Man 3) and, after destroying his notes, injected himself with his experimental formula which turned him in the Man-Thing, a largely mindless beast inhabiting the Florida swamplands. Aggravated by negative emotions, mainly fear, he lumbers toward the source to destroy it ("Whosoever knows fear burns at the hands of Man-Thing!").
Ted is short for Theodore. Theodore “Man-Thing” Sallis.
In regards to how Elsa could tank getting her head bashed a few times like she did is because her father had the Bloodstone at the time of Elsa’s conception and she gained a portion of it’s power in her blood. She’s faster, stronger and more durable than a normal human. The Bloodstone amps those attributes for her, but she does inherently have them. In the comics another gift that she has in her blood is she’s immune to vampirism and her blood can actually cure it.
As a Marvel fan, and a fan of the classic Universal horror movies, this was all I ever wanted. Phase 4 has been a very mixed bag for me, and outside No Way Home, this is my favorite project to come from the current phase. Marvel comics leaned into horror characters in the 70's, and Dracula, Ghost Rider, Man-Thing (Ted), and Werewolf by Night were among them. This project paves the way for more of those properties, including the upcoming Blade movie. I've been very much anticipating this direction.
Love your reactions, they're so genuine lol
This was a bit more impressive than what I was expecting. My favorite werewolf design still goes to Van Helsing, but this is pretty cool. And they managed to make Man-Thing look so innocent, adorable, yet a bit terrifying. Not what I was expecting, but I'll take it.
I'm so glad you loved this so did I Ted is Swap Thing from the comics which I use to read,I have a feeling will we be seeing the 3 main characters again.
Although Man-Thing is often compared to Swamp- Thing he is a much older and more powerful character with connections to defending reality itself, The acid he uses is based off the fear he empathically reads from people that creates it from his body.
His full name is Jack Russell, not kidding. LOL.
I have been waiting for a Werewolf by Night film since I read the comics as a kid. This exceeded my expectations!
Werewolf by Night is the first of the monster version of the Avengers, called the Howling Commandos, to get his own project. Other members include Man-Thing (Ted), Frankenstein's monster, the Living Mummy, and Blade the Daywalker. Blade will make his official MCU debut later, aside from his voice cameo in The Eternals. Hopefully, the Howling Commandos will gather together and help the Avengers in the future.
I think it's going to lead to either Howling Commandos, Legion of Monsters or the Midnight Sons
I Must Say You Remind Me Of A Younger Sean Young (Film Actress) As Apposed To An Older Sean Young .... Peace, Powerful Woman ✌️
I kinda dig the old school Lon Cheney werewolf look.
"Do you have to sniff her butt?"😂 never even occurred to me, that was perfect!

Also, I agree that Ted was such a fun character.
LOVE THAT HAIR! space buns!
It’s been a long time since I’ve had so much fun watching a film. Glad you enjoyed it.
I was excited for this but I didn’t know the old school version/comic. I got introduced to the character through 90s Morbius comics and The Midnight Suns - Midnight Massacre story arc. So I was thrown off by the look, but loved it.
Before Marvel Comics got into superheroes, they were known for their horror comcs. This is a tribute to those days.
I want so much more of this!
There are several Marvel "monster heroes" or "monster villains" who are in the Marvel Universe. Some based on classic monsters. Besides Jack Russel (Werewolf by Night) and Ted Salis (Man-Thing) Frankenstein's Monster, Dracula (a villain), Simon Garth The Zombie, The Living Mummy, Ghost Rider, Morbius the Living Vampire, Blade, and Son of Satan (Damien Hellstrome). Doctor Strange and other magical characters interacted with them, but so did "regular" heroes and villains like Hydra, A.I.M., the Avengers, Spider-man and so on.
10:19 - Dr. Theodore Sallis officially ....but yes. you can call the big green Snuffleupagus "Ted", if you like...🤣
15:09 - Disney found a good loophole - if it ain't red, it's not blood and you can show gore 😁

I loved the noir B&W choice and the short length. When the credits rolled I felt like it had only been 15-20 minutes! Such a fun ride. Happy weekend, A.
It's so good and I want a plushy of Ted. Giacchino should direct the new Blade movie
So Ted was human, he injected himself with a super soldier serium, and crashed into a swamp, becoming man thing, he is a multi versal being, in short he's a fixed point, his death would not be good for the marvel universe. He's a being that can hold the universe itself together
Oh and I forgot to point out that if you didn't know, Marvel Comics has a bunch of characters that basically exist in and deal with the Occult/Mystical side of their universe. Dr. Strange exists there but also characters like Blade, Ghost Rider (3 main various incarnations from Johnny Blaze, who Nicholas Cage played in the Ghost Rider movies, to the lastest incarnation, Robbie Reyes with the Flaming car that you might have seen if you watched Agents of Shield), Man-Thing, Werewolf by Night, Morbius (yes, the Jared Leto movie character, who's movie was made by Sony because his 1st appearances we're in Spider-Man comics), Elsa Bloodstone, and many more. Even Moon Knight, who in the 80s was taken out of the Occult Books and made a noir Batman knockoff, as he was even a West Coast Avenger, then in the 2000s, they turned his other identities used to gather info Into full blown extra personalities, and made him crazy, ultra violent Batman, is dipped back into the Occult world in recent years. They have a famous team up group of these heroes called the Midnight Sons, based on this great comic story from the 90s, and every few years they do another Midnight Sons team up. If you play video games, there is a Midnight Suns game (changed the spelling of Sons to be more inclusive) coming out on PS5, PC, and the Xbox Series X/S this December, that's based on that comic run. Though they've added some Avengers, X-Men, and Runaways (who had a 2 season show on Hulu) characters & Spider-Man to the team to help the game sell more.
Hey, Angela! ULYSSES BLOODSTONE was a prehistoric man who came into possession of a fragment of the Bloodstone which embedded itself in his chest. The gem is an alien artifact from another dimension that protectively encased an evil intelligence called the Hellfire Helix capable of creating monstrous guardians. One such guardian destroyed Ulysses' entire tribe. For 10,000 years, he hunted the Bloodstone's guardians to avenge his tribe and psionically vanquished the Helix within the stone in the 20th-century. Having fulfilled his goal, he removed the fragment from his chest and aged instantly to dust. The uninhabited stone still has the power to amplify energy, heal, emit energy and repel monsters. It is now possessed by Ulysses' daughter, ELSA BLOODSTONE.
JACK RUSSELL is the WEREWOLF BY NIGHT, the Wolfman of the Marvel Universe. He fought the vampiric-looking man-bat trophy mounted in the chamber because werewolves and vampires are mortal enemies. MOON KNIGHT started off in the comics as a werewolf hunter and traded blows with Jack more than once!
TED SALLIS is the MAN-THING, a former biochemist who has lost his intelligence after merging with a mystical swamp while injected with a sulfur-based regenerative serum with which he was experimenting. He responds to anger, hate and fear by secreting sulfuric acid that severely burns those he touches. He is gentle with those who have no ill intent and who are not afraid of him. The portion of the Everglades he protects is known as THE NEXUS OF ALL REALITIES and Man-Thing can create portals to alternate realities as well as teleport to locations he has seen.
Man-Thing has been a member of the THUNDERBOLTS and all three characters have been members of the MIDNIGHT SONS along with BLADE, MORBIUS, FRANKENSTEIN'S MONSTER, GHOST RIDER, HELLSTROM, JENNIFER KALE and BROTHER VOODOO!
The special was emulating the black-and-white Universal horror cycle of the 1930s and 1940s starring the likes of Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff, Lon Chaney, Jr., Claude Rains and John Carradine even though it was set in 2025.
GAEL GARCIA BERNAL is part of the 1990s Mexican Renaissance that includes DIEGO LUNA, DEMIAN BICHIR, SALMA HAYEK, ALFONSO CUARON, ALEJANDRO GONZALEZ INARRITU and GUILLERMO DEL TORO.
LAURA DONNELLY is from "The Nevers" and "Outlander".
The first color film to use three-strip Technicolor for the length of the feature was "Becky Sharp" in 1935!
Whatever knows fear, *burns* at the Man-Thing's touch!
Marvel is mostly known for superhero comics, but it had a solid line of horror/thriller titles, as well.
Both Blade and Moonknight premiered on the horror side of things (I know, for sure, that Moonknight originally appeared in Werewolf by Night; Blade might have originated in Morbius).
Man-Thing started out as Marvel's answer to DC's Swamp Thing and, as with many Marvel characters, it originated as a science experiment gone horribly wrong.
It is tied to the superhero side of things, in that Dr. Ted Sallis was yet another scientist who sought to reproduce the super-soldier serum, but wound up taking money from the wrong people.
Sallis wound up injured and nearly dying, so he injected himself with the prototype serum, just as he fell into a swamp that also (coincidentally) served as a locus of universes (so, it ties into the multiverse, too).
The Man-Thing doesn't really think like a human, any longer, and has only vague memories of its life as Ted Sallis, but it's not a murderous monster.
Mostly, it's there to keep people from dinking around with the universal locus, and harming the multiverse.
Unfortunately, the nature of the locus keeps attracting all sorts of unpleasant people, and Man-Thing keeps running across them.
That never turns out well for anybody.
This show was an unexpected gem.
The trailers managed to deliver on the feel of the story, but provided excellent misdirection that concealed the plot, nicely.
Very well done, I thought.
Blade is from Tomb of Dracula. Morbius didn't have a book. Man-Thing predates Swamp Thing and they really aren't that similar once you get past the name and the moss.
The werewolf guy is a huge Mexican actor Gael Garcia.
The elder lady best role that most people know her from is Frasier, she was his blood thirsty representative.
YES! I'm surprised I didn't remember that!
Bebe Glazer, thank you. I knew I knew the actress but I thought it was just from her bit role on "Hacks."
She was great on Frasier, but the so was the rest of the cast.
Ted is used to be a scientist trying to recreate the super solider serum. He got close then went on the run. Injected it in to himself and crashed his car in to a magical swamp lol that's why he looks like that.
Love the hair style. Looks very chung li 🤌🏾
