When people ask me why the cure is my favorite band, it’s because of stuff like this. They just hit me in the feels so hard, especially live. I’ve enjoyed every “era” of their catalogue, it all had something special. But, I remember when Blood flowers came out and that first listen. It was really magical.
Apparently this lyric was edited down from a much longer "seven ages of man-type song" due to Robert's worries about writing a "Meatloaf-type" epic. No-one seems to mention that the song, as we have it, is mostly spent describing - and regretting - the same extramarital liaison described in the earlier song A Pink Dream.

I'm fully aware that this channel has 115k subscribers so they must get a lot of requests. But, if you go into the "Custom" reaction" link all it shows is that it's a cash grab. Think about it before bashing this observation. If you are not willing to pay them, the chances of them eventually getting to your song request in the comment section is almost zero! What happened to the days where you didn't need to bribe a content creator with cash just for a damn song? It's just a reaction platform! In my humble opinion you should just be glad you have 115k subs because the "Reaction Channel" dog fight is fierce. I would LOVE to give them so many requests that they haven't done yet but I'm not going to pay for something when it should be free!
I've seen them 3 times , it's emotionally draining to see in concert and they play for hours , just amazing how he pulls you in , a real poet

The first time I heard this song I immediately bought the album. The song blew me away. That live version is awesome.
