20-Minute Yoga for Endometriosis

  • In honor of Endometriosis Awareness Month, I'm sharing this new 20-minute yoga for endometriosis sequence.
    I designed it to promote blood and energy flow while warming the pelvis. This is intended to improve dampness and move stagnation. All in hopes of helping you feel less pain while feeling more balanced.
    There are even research articles about yoga's impact on pelvic pain and quality of life for people with endometriosis. You can read their abstracts here:
    The Practice of Hatha Yoga for the Treatment of Pain Associated with Endometriosis
    pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/27869...
    A Qualitative Study on the Practice of Yoga for Women with Pain-Associated Endometriosis
    pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/27552...
    Hope you enjoy!
    If you’re like me and in your 30s or you’re like many of my past clients and in your 40s, there’s a good chance you haven’t received much hope or help when it comes to optimizing your chance of conceiving. I’m on a mission to change that.

    • @LiveFertile
      @LiveFertile  3 года назад +2

      Hi there! At any phase. There are some poses in here that might feel more or less comfortable during certain phases but that is unique to each person and cycle. Notice what your body seems to want more or less of and adapt accordingly. I should probably do a video on how/ why I choose certain poses for different phases for my phase specific videos. It’s less about safety (in my opinion, no pose is inherently dangerous during different phases) and more about supporting what is going on energetically and physically during each phase. Anyhow, hope that helps! Be well!

    What makes it for endo?

    • @LiveFertile
      @LiveFertile  3 года назад +9

      Hi there! I love this question. Thank you for asking. A few things: 1) The intention behind it. 2) There's research that suggests yoga can improve pelvic pain and quality of life for people with endometriosis. 3) The way I was taught to approach yoga for therapeutic purposes is based in TCM. So many of the poses I chose were focused along meridian lines associated with common imbalances seen in people with endometriosis. 4) Many of the poses are centered around the pelvic region to encourage blood flow in this area. I hope that answers your question! Be well!

      Hi there. To my knowledge, there isn't a recognized cure for endometriosis. That being said, there are many things that can be done to improve the symptoms. I recommend speaking with your personal healthcare team to find what would be best for you. Be well!

    Is there any difference b/w pcod and pcos becouse u made a lots of video about pcos but what about pcod.

      Hi there. In my experience, PCOD is not a term used in the United States. Typically, the condition marked by irregular cycles, elevated androgen levels, and/ or polycystic ovaries is diagnosed as PCOS in the US. According to one article I read in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, PCOS was previously called PCOD (and before that Stein-Leventhal syndrome) www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3973784/. I can't say if other countries make a distinction between the two since I'm based in the US. Hope that helps.

    Can I get pregnant with endometriosis?

    • @LiveFertile
      @LiveFertile  Год назад

      Endometriosis is not an infertility diagnosis, though it can make it more difficult for some people to get pregnant. How it will affect you personally depends on a number of factors. It would be best to discuss your concerns and questions with your doctor or another provider who knows about your personal medical history.

      It's not meant to cure endometriosis. It's meant to provide relief from the symptoms. Best wishes!

      Hi there. How each person is impacted by endometriosis is unique to them. Someone familiar with your whole medical history is better equipped to answer that question. I know you’re worried. That’s understandable. I recommend talking to your doctor about your treatment options and how your concern affects you. Best wishes.
