want to mention that i really appriciate your work here. i always keep a look to your channel before i start something on my R33 GTR i need to do. Thanks for sharing
I appreciate that! Glad the video are helpful to you. Have fun with your build sir!
Appreciate the attention to detail
Great glad to hear that. I try to make videos for all the RB26 guys to get a clearing understanding before starting the disassembly work themselves. Thanks for watching 👍
Just recently subbed here and I love the walk throughs with teardown, etc. Going into detail explaining little things most guys breeze over assuming we all know the same info is the biggest reason I'm hooked on this series. Keep it up!
Welcome aboard! Thank you awesome to hear the feedback!👍
Did you change the stem seals as well ,👍🏽
I have not done it yet, but the head will be fully refreshed. Going to have the machine shop take care of all that for me.
Congratulations on your cyld head removal.. Nothing like that first one. Those coolant passages in your block is feed and return.
Make sure your arp studs bottom out, use a magnet when putting your washer on and starting your nuts so they won't fall into your cyld head. The nuts are 12pt, get yourself a set of shallow and deep from Amazon.
I recommend arp flywheel and exhaust manifold bolts. Also I be your valvetrain is fine.
Thanks
Thanks for all the insight, it is much appreciated. Cool 12 pt sockets sets, will do! Thanks for watching and comment like normal!💪
@@JDMRightHandDrive your welcome man, it cool to see you progress as your confidence builds.
Good vid dude. I’ll likely be pulling the head on my r33 soon due to no compression in number 6. I’ll be looking at more of your vids cuz I’m a rookie lol. Also need to find out if there’s any good shops here in Oklahoma or the surrounding areas who are familiar with the rb26.
I am a rookie as well. Sorry to hear you have no compression. That damn number six likes to run lean. Glad you find my videos helpful. I hope they give you the info you need to easily disassemble everything yourself. Best of luck with your build.
Hey Josh, Is there a way to get in touch w/ you direct? I've got an R33 I have a ton of questions about. Love your content man.
You can contact me directly on my Facebook facebook.com/joshua.fenske.77
Hi Josh from Ireland, love your videos, very informative, have watched them all! can you put a link up for the GTR workshop manual that you are using please, looks great, keep up the good work, Eric.
Awesome to hear that I have some viewers in Ireland. Glad you are liking the content. I do have a resource link in my RUclips about section for the manual. Here is a direct link for you. The factory service manual is about 1000 pages, but very helpful to have when you need it. Especially for the the tightening sequence's for the motor and torque specs.
You wouldn’t happen to have an extra climate control module would you? Mine completely went out and I’ve done so much to get it working again and its cold in Spokane and I need heat haha if not it’s okay:) I love watching RBs being disassembled
Sorry, unfortunately I only have the one in my car. You might want to try croooober.com or yahoo auctions japan. UP Garage USA might have one as well. You can always check with Tommy F Yeah, mabe Trust Kikaku. Good luck.
@@JDMRightHandDrive I’ve been checking and they’re all super overpriced or non existent, but hopefully one will pop up here soon. Can’t wait to see your gtr back together again, also If you did or plan to do HICAS delete with the power steering pump mod I’d like a video on that so I can do that to my gtst
@@angelortiz2096 I am going to do the Hicas delete. I have been chatting with instagram.com/twosixzilla/ and I am planning on purchasing his kit that deletes the hicas from the original pump on the car. Comes with everything needed. I will have to research everything involved on this. It seems like it will be someone of a big job. I will most definitely make a video of the process. I will probably stop by UP Garage and pick Doug and Erik's brain first before getting into things. After i get the pistons out of the block, this will probably be next for content.
Did you remove all of the washers from inside the head?
Yes, I am pretty sure I counted 14 of them!
I hope you dont use that torque wrench for torqueing anything lol
Definitely not using that as a torque wrench to tighten anything to spec. I have a nicer torque wrench, that is only used to torque things tight to spec and never used to loosen things of course!💪
@@JDMRightHandDrive I do the same thing with my old one
