RUclips has a lot of offers and opportunities to know and approach musicians. But sometimes the range of alternatives go from people who want to fantasize with a weekend hobby (which is alright to me) to great players with a very polished technical abilities, but in many occasions lacking artistry, lacking something to tell in their performance. I never heard about you before, Monsieur Muzeau, but I thank the complete artist I just heard. Your musicality, artistry, feeling and sound, that beautiful phrasing which paints, caused something beautiful in my soul, as when you hear Charlie Haden, or Jaco Pastorious. Merci Beaucoup. Blessings...
@@dannysolucky3904 ya ya! I just learned about them and had to take the dive. Bass was the first stringed instrument i ever played, except piano. This instrument would be amazing through so many different amps. Hope you can try one out
I am incredibly late to this video, I found it via Reverb, window shopping this bass. But I just have to thank you. That piece, the way you played it; its so beautiful. It was beyond breathtaking. Phenomenal.
It took 7 years for this to hit my feed. Ridiculous. I search bass players endlessly, I play. And play fretless. Hey RUclips less senseless POP, and Anime stuff, I'd like the other things you've been neglecting my "personal feed".
Hi. Great playing and great sounding. May I ask you a couple of questions: 1.- What strings are you using on your TB-10? 2.- Are you using the endpin to play in that position or just holding it between your legs? 3.- Is the sound coming just from the pickup or did you use a microphone as well? Keep up the good job and congratulations for your music.
You Sir, have monster skills. You make that bass sing. I am surprised at the tonality in the middle of the neck. Mine was more vocal up to the nut. Perhaps an adjustment was needed on the piezo on mine. I had it for 5 years and played it in my Dixieland band. I sold it! I will be looking to get another. I miss that bass! I am currently using a UBASS, with the poly strings. Interesting sound.
Is that an electric contrabass guitar? I'm amazed because I once saw an acoustic contrabass guitar and I thought that was awesome. But they got an electric one as well. Oh I love music so much :)
p'tain c'est magnifique! je suis un guitariste qui a toujours aimé la basse et là c'est encore pire grâce à toi. maintenant il faut que je m'en achète une comme celle là. Merci pour la musique! encore, très très bien. (Y)
Love your playing, Dominique! Been watching once every few months, now I finally have the TB10 myself! Plays remarkably well. :) It's a used older version from 2006. Do you think I should change the stock preamp for the newer ones?
Thx for your comment. Mine is far older than yours and for me the preamp is ok. It often takes time to find a satisfying sound especially with these fretless instruments but I prefer to think that the magic is first in your fingers and also in a good correlation between the instrument and the amp...
I play an upright bass myself and i would much rather carry and play this thing instead but the upright bass does have a tingier quality more people are looking for
+Felix Olschewski You are welcome. I have recorded this song through two different sources: 1 line (takamine built-in piezzo mic through my Phil Jones Bass amp) and a pair of mic in front of the amp.
+Dominique Muzeau Thanks for letting me know. I am surprised by how "acoustic" it sounds even though there is no mic on the bass iself. I'm afraid I feel an urge to purchase one of these...
+Deny Jo I bought it in a music store in Paris but it was a long time ago and I can't remember the name but if you come to Paris I'll show you the place. I 'm sure you can buy one online at Thomann's but there is other places too.
It is your impression. Charles Mingus, Paul Chambers, Ron Carter, Doug Watkins, Ray Brown, Jimmy Blanton, Stanley Clarke, Percy Heath, Milt Hinton, Sam Jones, Scott LaFaro and Wilbur Ware are all American.
Hey it’s been almost a decade since you put this out. It’s some really lovely playing. Hope you’re doing well.
The first musician I've seen really playing this bass, and bringing out its potential.
thank you pawlio66, you made my day !

Perfect intonation, Ron Carter would be proud of you!!...
