I love how you show video of the bird before you show the picture, it makes me want to stay and watch the whole video just to see that picture, and also, that second picture is the type of picture i would want to hang on my wall. Best video so far!
This is when your effort and love of nature pay back and you got (images) what you never even imagined. Look like your portfolio has to be changed after every new outing.
Your story telling is on point and your passion is contagious Trond. Never stop chasing that joy in your photography adventures brother. Stunning photos. Gotta love those plovers.
Excellent pictures, Trond. It was 2007. I came down from Jontunheim and drove the direct way to the Dovrefjell to hike for a few days in this fascinating area. I will never forget this trip because it rained 24 hours a day the whole time I was there. But I had some real magic moments there when the sunlight broke through the low hanging clouds and some birds left their refuge to fly around. Norway will always have a very special place in my heart.
Great video again Trond👏. Everything comes together. Awesome landschape and video, music, beautiful pictures and your enthusiasm of course. Loved it👍 The fantastic sound of the golden plover really remindes me a bit of last summer, when I was able to photograph them all the way up at the nord cape. Thank you for sharing.
Very nice images as always and I’m curious as to the apparatus that is attached to your lens to keep it level and off the ground. I would like more info on this
If I show these pictures to people around me they will just see a bird then maybe say it's nice. But for me it's more t than just that and when I feel your emotions this pictures means the very sensitive relationship you have with wildlife and nature. If one day I will see an other picture of this bird I will remember also your emotions and the deep link you have. When I'm in nature and see a squirell I see you in the same time because I know that you would have been as touched as I was in this meeting. I'm so happy to follow you. Good wind Trond
You inspire like no one else Trond. It was like I was accompanying you through the journey. The plovers are the same everywhere , but you teach how to make it a moment of joy!
Wow, what an experience Trond, well done. You captured some fantastic images yet again. Thanks for including the camera settings next to the images, I found this really interesting as I am often uncertain which are the best for me.
Hello Trond, I think all our pulses were racing watching this one. Yet again you show skill and determination and get your long awaited awesome golden plover photographs. Thanks for sharing and continue to stay safe 😷
I was inspired by you to see if there are any Plovers in my area. Luckily there are! I got to photograph the Great Lakes Piping Plover. It is endangered but on the comeback. I think I got some of my best bird photos. Thanks for the inspiration 🙏
Fantastic photos Trond. Unfortunately, here in Cyprus, we get golden plovers without their breeding plumage so is just a nice bird for us. Yours is a fantastic male fellow
Congratulations on two lifetime achievements, Trond: the first one was the best shot of a musk ox that I've seen; and two was your shots of the golden plover. Couldn't have been any better. Congratulations again. :)
Wonderful shots, Trond! I think with the high quality of your pictures it is just a matter of taste which is the best. Often it is also the story that is connected to it. That's what makes them special! Best regards, Rolf
Really great picture! I only got to photograph the golden plover once and it is not nearly as good as your photo. But man Norway... what a stunning country. I need to visit again. It's been almost 10 years now.
Hi Trond yes I think you probably did although how you would pick images of yours and say this is the best when every image is like a work of art. You really need to calm down before you have a heart attack Lol. Until next time take care and stay safe my friend.
Trond - Your enthusiasm is contagious. I want to go out and take photographs of wildlife right now. Your videos are great as I always learn something. Thanks for sharing your experiences.
Just returned from from Nome, Alaska, taking photographs of the Pacific Golden Plover. Our tundra looks like your tundra! Beautiful photos! As I've said before, though, it's cold up there, as evidenced by your red face. And be careful, things poop in those tundra streams. Get yourself checked for Giardia in a week or so, as you can be an asymptomatic carrier.
Those images are just perfect! It's interesting though how you approached the plovers. I just came back from Varanger where I also tried robbing to the plovers but it didn't really work since they were pretty skittish (the dotterel was really cooperative on the other hand...) I finally managed to get some close captures next to the nest of the golden plover, but not with the amazing light from your shots!
Trond, thank you so verk much for your photos and videos, it’s so very inspiring. This was the most beautiful little bird👏👏👏. Hälsningar från Stefan i Sverige
In Australia we get the Pacific Golden Plover in non breeding plumage. Despite this, it is still a spectacular bird, which I have seen on numerous occasions.
These pictures can't be any better - congratulation! When I hear the plover i'm imediatly back in the fjell. To see the region in your videos where I also have visited some years ago is beautiful for me! Thanks for that. Norway is one of the most beautiful countries. Hilsen fra Sveits - Heini

Stunning, perfect images, Trond, well done. I have seen them flying in a flock where I live, but have never managed to get a decent photo of one as yet!
Trond thanks for sharing your videos and awesome photos.l was wondering where you got your camouflage cover for your lens I have never seen one with ferns plus what bean bag where you using? Thanks again I really enjoy your videos.
Thank you for watching and leaving me this kind comment. This is a camshiled from Tragopan. And the lens hood that comes with it works great as a bean bag :)
Superb shots. The golden background was a superb arrival, but the bird's own colour pops more against the dark grey. Out of interest, who is the biggest customer for your art...wildlife magazines, tourism?
What an absolute stunning bird Trond. I think I need to add one more bird on to my "Birds to photograph" - list :D Good job and as always.. Beautiful shots :)
Very nice video! I like so much Dovre. I have a question for you, you have a beanbag very interesting in this video, can you tell something about that?
Fantastisk stemning. Fantastiske Norge

Here in Hawaii, we have Pacific Golden Plovers throughout the winter. In April, they get their summer breeding plumage before their 3000 mile flight to Alaska.
I have seen picture of that bird, looks really awesome in summer plumage. I dream of photographing that in Alaska :)
