You are not 'crazy' at all Trond. What you are doing is showing us all the extremes you have to go through and just how much it actually takes, to get such superb photographs as you do! The results you show here are really amazing, and pretty much prove my point. Fantastic video as always Trond and thank you for making them all for us to see! 👏👏👏😊
I find when a photographer gets crazy, they get some of their best photos. You sure got fantastic photos, thanks for getting wet and dirty for us ! Greg
Great videos and photos, you put your phographic equipment to the limit, water, dust, mud .... i love the passion you show in each video, greetings from spain
Great Video! Thanks for sharing. The first time I ever did something similar to what you were doing here, I was on a public beach stalking Sand Pipers in the gulf of Mexico. I was belly crawling between the very small sand dunes near the shore, trying to only expose the lens and top of my head. I definitely got some weird looks from folks walking at sunrise, but I was eventually able to capture a one of my favorite shots from that trip. We do what we can to perfect those things we are passionate about.
I love shorebirds. Whenever possible I spend some quality time with 'my' turnstones in the Lauwersoog harbour. One thing I am very sure of during every encounter is wet and dirty clothes, so this video is very relatable to me.
Love photographing shore birds but not so keen on getting soaked in the process! Tend to use a skimmer pod rather than hand holding or a bean bag to try and keep my gear dry. Great photos!
Give my best respect to you. Man, that is really hard work to lie down for a long time to handle 600mm lens for photography. You give us outstanding low angle view. Fantastic video of this shorebirds. The common ringed plover capture is amazing. Great job!!!👍👍👍
Hello Trond, great videos as always. May I ask you more of a behind the scene question? What cameras you are using for your vlogs? I see you are using go pro here and there and what is the other camera? Much appreciate it. Thanks
Hello Sebastian! Thanks for your kind compliment. My main vlogging camera is Sony ZV-E1. But now I have also started to use nikon Z6 III for vlogging. But yes, I also use gopro when I am sneaking. Easier to carry :)
Anyone else crazy about shorebirds?
Remember to send me an email if you want to know more about the upcoming Greenland trip.

Thank you!
Trond, the only difference I see in your plovers and the one I photograph here is that my plovers use red eyeliner and yours use yellow. 😁
Well done!
