Wow,Trond the 600 mm TC that is awesome ! Beautiful colors and photos of the Lapwing. The floating blind worked out great for you. Beautiful video! I am looking forward to the next video! Greg
Hi Trond what a lovely video with some beautiful moments with the great crested grebe and with your usual awesome images it all makes for a brilliant watch. Until next time take care and stay safe my friend.
Perfect video vlog Trond👍👍. I like watching your little adventures. It looks very interesting to photographing animals from the water photoblind. Because I don't have experience with that kind of photography. It had to be a cold if you spend some time in the water🙂. Best regards Ondrej 😉
This was a great video. Too cold for me! Glad to see that you've become widely recognized as a wildlife photographer and are getting to try out top equipment.
Nice Video Trond! Floating blind is my favorite way of wildlife photography. I built my own way before the commercial solutions appeared in the market.
Thanks for the inspiration again Trond, great video. I am a bit confused about the whole floating blind concept though. I came into bird photography from fly fishing and I have been using inflatable pontoons for quite a while now. The one I am using now has ample room for to lie on it without touching the water, which means a lower profile. Besides I use a remote controlled electric motor to propel me or keep me still, even in windy conditions. I think this should be a great asset for on-water bird photography. The traditional floating blinds are actually quite limited compared to the floating devices we use for fly fishing. You should check them out. I can give you some pointers if it interests you.
Great photos , I have been spending the last few days taking shots of Lapwings and their young at a nearby flooded field. I struggle to get shots with clear background as it is a rough field and chicks going through grass. Do you use auto iso on shots with manual settings. Keep the videos coming, the subjects are so alike to what I am shooting here in the North East of Scotland.
Thank you for posting this great adventure, Trond. I can only imagine what a fine experience it was photographing those birds from the floating blind. You made some really beautiful images. I'm looking forward to hearing more about that 600mm lens you were using, too. Especially the weight of the lens. My 500mm f/4 G lens weighs 8.6 pounds and I'm getting to the age where I can barely work with it. Looking forward to your Svalbard trip, too.
Awesome video Trond. You are one of the few lucky photographers to be shooting a 600mm tc. Congrats. Maybe you’ll talk about the 600mm tc in an up coming video.
I really liked those lapwings. I hope I spelled that right. The grebes are nice, too. I’m hoping to photograph some of them myself this next week. But, I don’t think we have lapwings in my area. You’re still a great inspiration. Keep up the good work.
Nice work Trond, I love battling the elements and it looked like you were too. The water soon sucks the warmth from your body!! Great shots of the Grebes 👌🏼. What do you use to record the EVF footage?
