Thank you for promoting our country. I recomend Madzharovo vulture conservatory and the Danube islands close to Svishtov as well as the Atanaskovo lake close to Burgas to observe the flamingos. Yes, many birds and storks in Bulgaria. It is a very fertile land and almost covered with nature wherever yo go. Your content is incredible and professional.

Yes, my only gripe with the system, is you have to be aware of the OOF background! However, the plus points far and away outweigh the negative, compared to other systems. Great video.

I always get a bit envious when I see anyone taking advantage of a floating water hide. Alligators are so thick in my location that it's not the safest of options.
Thoroughly enjoyed the video. Thank you!

I admire your tenacity. I'd certainly never put myself trough anything like that.
About blurred backgrounds there's something I will never understand. Yes, of course you'll want the background to be out of focus. But I don't see the point in blurring it so completely that you've no idea whats there. I'd much rather see some of the environment!

Always great shots and always informative. I have no experience with floating hides and this video did not inspire me to try one! I especially liked the final shots of the flight display were very interesting. Also not easy to get. Head on shots of birds are usually not appealing but these were.
And I had no idea that Bulgaria was a great place for bird photography.

Another super video. I saw European bee-eaters for the first time in Crete earlier this year. Colourful, beautiful and quick. And also little ringed plovers and little stints. Tiny birds. I managed to get fairly close by lying down and waiting, but the floating hide is a whole other level (and dedication!). Keep up the great work.

Great shots and video clips which I appreciate very much because we were traveling to Bulgaria some weeks after you due to your very positive comments of previous trips, We got the end of the early summer, therefore different scenes. As I have less time than you I am still struggling with sorting the photos ... . One question on your gear - what kind of video head are you using now and what weight does it have to carry?

Looks a great place, such a shame we have allowed the UK to get so overpopulated and spoilt. I was on the Long Mynd in Shropshire yesterday and I had opportunities for wheatear and pipits from the car but every time I got on to something another car would come along and I’d have to move on.
