I have met with Elder Kearon a few times. He reacched out to me and my wife in a very personal and kind way when he visited our stake in 2009. I can say he's very genuine
I remember meeting Elder Kearon at a stake conference when he was a seventy and I was a missionary in the area. After the meeting, Elder Kearon would shake hands with people and if anyone seemed like they were tired or sad or struggling he would ask them; “All you all right?” And he would proceed to minister to them the best he could in the brief amount of time he had with them. I know he exemplifies Christ like love.
As a convert myself, since 1975, at the age of 20, I always felt in a category that was not the mainstream background of family/church legacy. It emboldens me to continue to hold fast to the iron rod of hope, as my parents and siblings, who are all passed on, as well as all of my children, are not partaking of the gospel. I needed to see this day that a convert can become an Apostle.
That’s incredible. I just got back from a Church meeting where I foolishly gave in to bad feelings and hopelessness, inferiority, worry. I did feel like I was hurting, forgotten, lost, alone, everything that Elder Kieran said. I now feel loved, and I felt the Spirit when he said that Father in Heaven “adores you, believe it or not” (and again while typing that) I feel heard. My life is still in a sort of difficulty, yet I know that Elder Kieran is an Apostle of the Living God now, and I know that the promises of Apostles and prophets are the promises of God. I know that the Lord “will put all of this right” and I am so grateful for such a promise, beyond words. I humbly testify that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ can make even the heavens bow to show us Their love! In the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, amen.
Elder Kearon is going to be a tremendous source of light, ❤️ and hope in this dreary worl. I'm excited for the works he will wrought in service of our Redeemer and Heavenly Father ❤❤❤
So grateful for living prophets, seers, and revelators, called of God to do His work on this earth. The power of Elder Kearon's testimony of Christ is so palpable; what a blessing that is to all of God's children on the earth!
This was inspired to what I needed to hear today. Thank you Elder Kearon for your words. I love you and sustain you as the newest apostle of the lord Jesus Christ. ❤️
His first comment echos another statement by a fellow Apostle...'The Gospel of Jesus Christ is simply beautiful and beautiful simple." Elder Neal A Maxwell...I love Elder Kearon as a wonderful example at what can happen when humble missionaries teach someone, as I did in Guatemala 40 years ago...you never know what will happen in someone's life in their conversion and coming to know Our Savior@

It is so so true that at some point we must all be "converts" to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Any other approach to the Church probably cannot sustain itself.
