The missionaries found me and my life was forever changed because of their spirit-filled gospel teaching. Just as the gospel miraculously altered the direction my life, it is also altering the direction of the lives of its faithful members. As the world becomes more estranged from God, our children are growing up prepared to serve. This is wonderful fruit!

I have 2 of those 72,721 serving as of today. I cannot express my feelings adequately of the joy I have received from their service. I have so much joy in this rising generation! They truly are unique and able to rise above immense obstacles to be such a light of Christ at this time when the world desperately needs them! It's such a beautiful thing! ❤

“The Standard of Truth has been erected; no unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing; persecutions may rage, mobs may combine, armies may assemble, calumny may defame, but the truth of God will go forth boldly, nobly, and independent, till it has penetrated every continent, visited every clime, swept every country, and sounded in every ear, till the purposes of God shall be accomplished, and the Great Jehovah shall say the work is done.” Joseph Smith

I served a mission from 2019-2021 and I am forever grateful for the experiences and knowledge i gained from my full time service. If I were asked today to drop everything and go do it over again, id do it in a hearbeat. I saw and experienced so many miracles that i thought only happened in the bible. If you are debating on serving a mission, do everything you can to prepare yourself, and go give it a shot. The Lord will strengthen you in ways you never thought of.

When our oldest son went on his mission, my husband said, “He went away a boy and came back a man.” Three of his brothers have also served missions, and all say what a great impact it has been on their lives. Missionaries not only bless the lives of those they teach and serve, but also gain such wisdom and growth that they wouldn’t otherwise have had.

The feelings I had while serving as missionary cannot be traded for anything. If there's any young man or woman who needs understanding, who needs to figure out what the Lord has for him or her, go on a mission. You'll never regret it. My wife and I are currently serving a Senior Member/Leader Support mission in Freiburg, Germany. We both served in the Frankfurt mission as young singles back in the 70s. Seeing these tremendous young people serving all around us is an inspiration and a joy. And it's a lot of fun to act as surrogate grandparents to them, just trying to make their lives a little easier and meaningful by being a resource for them.

Missionaries changed my path in life. I still struggle with church doctrine but I admit I have been clean and sober for nearly 2 years. The Holy Spirit does work with them even if their personal knowledge is lacking. If the sisters did not continue to be persistent I wouldn’t have been baptized. While some of the doctrinal beliefs are radical in nature to me I joined the organization due to supernatural experiences. Something is going on here that I cannot define in words. I appreciate the missionaries sacrifice and dedication for those that they do not know. I knew the first time I read the prophets words that he was telling me what a loving parent wants their children to know. The elder missionary that baptized me had either an angel or the Holy Spirit with him on several occasions. I believe that this influenced my baptism choice as this never happened before. They are special individuals and I appreciate them all. I am a member for a year now as of September.

    • @Famr4evr
      @Famr4evr 8 месяцев назад

@@relaxingnature6766 It is called the gospel of Jesus Christ because the Atonement of Jesus Christ is central to this plan. According to His plan, our Heavenly Father sent His Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to show us how to live meaningful and happy lives and experience eternal joy after this life. Through the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ, you can become clean from sin and enjoy peace of conscience. You can become worthy to live in Heavenly Father’s presence after this life.

The young people in the Church now, as they always have, find themselves needing to make the hard decision to believe; to make the hard decision to put interest in others over self-interest. They don't all step up to these hard decisions, but it's inspiring to see how many do. I have seen first-hand the dedication of parents and other adult influences in helping young people navigate on the path of faith in a world where the pressure to leave it is so intense. We really are all in this together, with the common goal of witnessing of God and caring for our neighbors all over the world. As the building of God's kingdom goes, the future is very, very bright.

THE CHALLENGE IS NOW FULL THROTTLE FOR SENIOR MISSIONARIES. The fact is that there are not enough SENIORS in the field. With our personal experience we can never think of doing any kind of mission except Spanish speaking. Tough but oh so rewarding. Never have we seen the hand of God so visible in our lives. The Sacrament Prayers contain the words to "Bless and Sanctify". I am in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and compared the appearance and countenance of people walking on the street last Sunday, as if it was any other day of the week, with the members gathered in the chapel, and the words of the prayer were reflected in their images and lives!
Then the opening hymn, "I KNOW that my Redeemer lives...what comfort this sweet sentence gives!"
And how do we KNOW? Because of the experience and witness of Joseph Smith...1,800 years more recent and compelling than the awareness and knowledge of others! 🫡👏🤗🥰🙏👍

I am so happy that the Work of Salvation and Exaltation is continuously coming to fruition. I rejoice in 36 new missions worldwide to be created or established by the Church this year 2024. I extremely rejoice that the Thailand Bangkok Mission (in which its country's first-ever temple was recently dedicated by Elder Ronald A. Rasband and my original assignment despite I was not able to serve there due to my permanent reassignment) will soon be accommodated by another mission: Thailand Bangkok East. I am also grateful because my homeland, the Philippines Area, will be adding 3 new missions on its roster: Tuguegarao, Dumaguete, and General Santos.

I am forever grateful for the missionaries who brought the Gospel to me. I was praying to understand which church would be the best church for me. I never thought that there was a restored church on the earth. How astonished I was to have my prayers answered.

This is exactly what the world needs now, which is the gospel of Jesus Christ to be preached to those who are seeking for God in their lives. The, Lord is hastening His work. I left on my mission 50 years ago to Japan. I loved every minute of it. I'd love to serve again but my wife's health doesn't seem to be good enough for her to go. Any one who can should serve. You'll be richly rewarded.

I know an Elder in Africa who has been having many issues with obtaining a visa, he now has his updated calling and is excited to report to the MTC. He lacks some clothing needs and we are seeing what we can send for shirts and trousers but he is faithful and ecstatic. Thank you to the area authorities in Kenya in helping him be able to serve!

Missionaries found me in 2001, when my father passed away. I am thankful for them. 20 years later I am still thankful. Being a convert has been a blessing. ❤

I am so grateful for my missionary experience 30 years ago. I grew so much in so many ways. I strengthened my determination to always be one that the Lord can count on. That has blessed my life and my family. I’m so grateful.

I am happy that word of God is moving forward, for the youth who suffered the most during the pandemic caused isolation must helped in developing that desire to serve and gained a testimony of their own.

At it's core, the Church has never been stronger . . . and this is one of the proofs. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is so needed in the world today.

Serving in mission brings blessings to all Heavenly Father's children and to the persons who served in. From 1987 - 2023 we are a family of missionaries. My self, my son (who is currently serving in his mission), my sister's two daughters and her son (who recently released), my first cousin two of them and my niece and nephew and my older brothers' son. So glad that this opportunity extended to us by the Savior Jesus Christ thru his authorized and inspired leaders.

It is inspiring to watch these young people go from green to gold, fearful to powerful, spiritual infants to spiritual giants… I love our missionaries!!!
