When I met my husband I was open to the mormon religion but was still living my life very unsteady. Smoking and drinking was an everyday for me. As we got our first appartment we learned we bad 2 sister missionaries from his church li ing right behind us. They took thier time with me every single day for over an hour everyday and slowly swayed me into living a righteous life. Shortly after that my husband and I were married and he baptized me as a member of the church. We now are expecting our 3rd baby boy this month and I can say with my heart that the sister missionaries who took their precious time with me when I was once stubborn and hard headed. Changed my life. They were right where they needed to me at the perfect time!
Tremendous testimony! The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints truly is Jesus Christ's only true and living church, with its ordinances and opportunities being the only way whereby we can come to the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ (Elder Holland YA Devotional January 2023).
You know, people give Mormons a lot of crap. But I have to say that every Mormon I ever interacted with was polite, respectful and rather pleasant to talk to.
I had been planning to serve a mission as soon as I turn nineteen, but a couple months ago I was trying to know for sure if this is really the time for me to go. I had prayed about it, but still wasn't sure. Then I saw this video. I was almost to the end when the Spirit hit me like a freight train. I know that this is time for me to go. My papers are in, and I'm waiting for my call. I'm so excited! This is the happiest time of my life because I'm preparing to do what the Lord intends me to do. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true, and I am so grateful for my Savior!
The harvest is truly great, but few are the laborer's, the Lord truly needs your dedication and devotion to his great work. Gathering Israel is a huge undertaking, we want more souls on the Lord's side, not on Satan's Kingdom where they will be tortured without rest. It's because of love, really it is....
I entered this institution a few decades ago when I was 19. The curriculum was great. I am still thankful to the Church that provided me such a great opportunity and experience to serve as a missionary of the Lord. I can still remember the spirit, smell of those buildings and sacred air there.
I had a Mormon friend in high school and I did some Mormon routine like pray at dinner or go to church dance even though I’m not a Mormon and my friend never shove it in my face . He just treated me like another friend.
Am going to serve my mission this year but am so excited to interact with more people of my faith and especially the same purpose... When i saw this video i really felt the spirit and just one tear fell out of my eyes(i wasn't crying my eyes were just sweaty)i really now know that i want to serve the Lord and gather Israel 🙏😌😊
What many people don't know about mormon missionaries is that they not only spread their doctrine but actively engage in humanitarian aid. If all privileged kids had compulsory humanitarian aid work after school this world would be a better, more modest place. Well done LDS church.
This stubborn Baptist took all of six months and nine missionaries to finally agree to be baptized Sep 18, 2021. I couldn't be more joyful about the decision. After my decision made in faith GOD has granted me so much logical understanding of the church and the Temples.
You're just beginning to the joys of the gospel, the many things about the Old Testament accounts that seems vague will become clearer as you study more of all the scriptures provided and connect all the dots, then, it will made sense, in a bigger picture.
I love missionaries! They were the tool Heavenly Father used to find me when I prayed to know which church I should join after much preparation by study and eventual prayer. That was 32 years ago. I have never had a day of inactivity or doubt. I have so much gratitude in my heart for what the missionaries do to share the gospel and for teaching me about the Atonement of Jesus Christ.
what an inspiring video! I served a mission 39 years ago and walked the halls of the MTC after being converted at 16, started my mission at 19. In just 30 days my son will be at the MTC to begin his own mission. What a great legacy to share with him as he begins his service to the Lord. I will miss him terribly, but I know this is the right thing to do.
I love the Missionaries they have saved my life my family. Forever grateful for their services. Elder McDonald and Elder Michaelis and many more..I'm a missionary forever
Wow, you suggested this and I was grateful since my grandson just started there last week. He is learning Mandarin. Was happy to see where he is..thanks.
I was 20 years old in 1975, when I got baptized in Southern California. A year later I went on a mission, in 1976. When I was at the MTC from September- November 1976 it was a brand new facility and was dedicated when I was there in October 1976. Almost all of the general authorities were there with President Kimball. After that I was sent to Germany. I had some fond memories of that time. I am now 66 years old. I am still active, along with my wife, but our 2 daughters are inactive. How I long for those promising young years.
I’m a Protestants but I really proud looking my brother from LDS church dedicated their life for the missions for the name of CHRIST. Great job and may GOD bless you all.
The MTC was among the most memorable parts of my mission that I'll always cherish the most. It's just amazing how my zone and I all entered as strangers on day one, and left as family three weeks later into our respective missions.
I am going to serve my mission this year, i was called to the Provo Utah mission, which wasnt at all were i thought i would go, but i am read to serve the lord no matter were it may be. There is a reason for everything, just put your faith in God and start walking. I am so excited for the MTC and being around so many people with the same purpose.
I'm so grateful for the organization of this church it makes me who I am to day, I greatly appreciate it every moment of it thank you so much for your time and effort to put all this together thank you so much.
I'm member of the church last year I found myself I had struggles with my faith but I'm still as member of the church. As single guy I'm feel good but sometimes is hard to understand when all people in church try to tell me that I'm not the right member because I'm still single. We have a particular situation in Latin American countries when you are single guy. I'm a good boy but last year was hard to me my Mom has cancer and I was seek also at the same time. So during that period of time I was thinking about my time as a young missionary I really loved that time If you ask myself about where my testimony is coming from ? I can tell you that testimony was building when I was a missionary I miss all friends, companions, leaders, etc. I think life is good but the real life show us that most important things are related to spiritual stuff but is hard when people in church judge me for my single condition status. I love all the memories of the mission at the end if there's something which inspire me I can tell you is the time when I preached the gospel.
Two years after being Baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints which was 42 years ago this month (May 1980) I walked to the mailbox and found a gray envelope containing a letter signed by then President Spencer W. Kimball, "Calling me to Serve the People of Northern California for 2 years. About 6 weeks later I entered the MTC (Missionary Training Center) to learn how to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the people that I would meet in the Sacramento area. The things I learned at the MTC and during the next 2 years have blessed my life daily.
Just got my mission call to the Sweden Stockholm mission and am going to spend 6 weeks at the Provo MTC. Super excited and can’t wait to be around other missionaries
This is incredible. Interesting. I love the life of a missionary. Their lives are discipline and they want to please God. Their spirit glows. I would love to be like them.
You don’t need to be full-time or set apart to be a missionary!! We can all serve as missionaries in our everyday words and actions. We are all able to be part of gathering Israel! :)
My experience in the MTC in 2001 was so servery traumatic. I just finished my first year at Ricks and then I reported to the MTC in August of 2001. This video makes the MTC look friendly, casual, bright, and welcoming. All I remember was the following. 12 hours per day for 3 - 4 weeks, in one single dark class room doing only one task; silently memorizing word for word each Discussion. Then after a few weeks of literal torture, 9/11 happened. I was so stressed out because they wouldn't tell us much and they told us not to talk about it. One day I was so exhausted from the Memorizing assignment and from worrying about NYC, I just couldn't take it and I bolted. I was planning on coming back to the Classroom, I simply needed to vent. I took a walk and fell to my knees on the Exercise Field. I just laid there for a few minutes and before I knew it I had fallen asleep on the Grass. I was so exhausted I couldn't keep my eyes open. I woke up with four cops kicking me to wake up. They told me I was Trespassing and they were informed that a Missionary bolted. They cuffed me, and they took me to the Hospital for evaluation. That was it. My MTC Mission President didn't follow up when I was at the Hospital. The Hospital cleared me and the MTC simply called my Folks to come up from SoCal to pick me up and take me home. This was Sep 12 and all flights were grounded. They were worried and upset. My Mom and Dad drove up because it was the only option, they couldn't simply jet up and they were worried. I was out on the Street for about 24 hours because I didn't even have my Wallet on me. The MTC nor did my Mission President help me find a place to sleep that night. And that was the duration of my Mission. They wouldn't let me come back. I served only about 4 weeks. The MTC will always be a rotten place for me.
As a perspective missionary i felt it right down deep in my heart that Jesus Christ loves each and everyone of us just like as we are aliken to him . And we all are to witness he's great love and guidance right here in serving him and bringing his children unto him.
What do you think of the style of the new mtc class rooms. It looks too modern and kinda looses that old church looking feel to it. Maybe that’s just me. Going there in a month for a mission.
What a wonderful beautiful video. Some of the MTC is familiar to me. Much is new. I pray the day may come when my wife and I can go there as missionaries. Till then, may the Lord bless me to be a missionary here.
Thank you so much for this video 🙏 I live in Philippines, my son lives in Provo and will be entering the MTC in a couple weeks. We will be there the day before to see him off and we do thank the Lord for His mercies 🙏 I was really hoping to see the MTC and you have blessed me with this video. Thank you to all the missionaries for faithfully answering the Lords call to service 🙏🫡
Absolutely awesome great and amazing video. I never went to a mission but i converted. Greetings from a Swede 🇸🇪 who used to live in northern part of Utah
Awesome! Nearly 25 years later (September 23rd 1992), I remember the wonderful experiences I had as a missionary at the MTC. My time at that remarkable place remains among the most memorable of my life's events.
Changing the world - one child of God at a time. Thank you, elders and sisters, for being willing to do the work of gathering Israel in these latter days! I've never served a mission myself, but how blessed that I am to be associated in such a small way with such stalwart examples :-)
I’ve spent quite a bit of time with missionaries from this church. I’m always impressed with how wholesome, sincere and kind they are. At the same time though, I’m saddened with their beliefs, ie: God has a wife, God is not spirit but a human being, we can all become God , Jesus was in New York etc...
The language curriculum is unparalleled. The new buildings are beautiful. The gym facilities look amazing. Despite the murals it still looks like a corporate campus now. The MTC doesn't prepare you for some of the missionary housing in the field. One place I lived as a missionary in South America was absolute squalor . We had to walk through chicken poop to get to the bathroom. My mission president couldn't have cared less when I described the conditions. I brought home a particularly virulent foot fungus that I have never successfully been cured of.
Woah 😍 Provo Missionary Training Center is so beautiful and amazing abd also it so big. Just wow i wish that when I'm going to a missionary training center is to provo missionary training center. Now I'm waiting for my mission call. And I'm so excited 😍
I really wanted to be a missionary when I grow up. I also wanted to be more closer to the church. I also wanted to have a harmonic relationship with other people around the world. As a latter day saint, I wanted to bring the world His truth. Even when theres a lot of trials to face, I still believe that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ will guide me every single day...
I love missionaries and I really appreciate their efforts to share the Gospel in different country & language, May God always be with you. I really miss my missionary friend, Sister Anjum and Sister Akhram, you’ll always be in my heart forever. - Sister Anna of sta.mesa ward
I'm always interested in knowing other faiths, and I'm happy I saw this little bit. I was hearing "empty sea" all the time, good to know it means something else hehe, makes more sense!
I love the missionaries without them I would of never heard the gospel in a small town in Kansas some 12 years ago God bless all you if any of you come to Greeley Colorado I'll be waiting for you
I pray one day that you wake up and realise that your part of a corrupt false form of Christianity. Which questions the word of god our Heavenly Father.
I was in one of the first missionary groups to go through what was then called the Language Training Mission (LTM) in the winter of 1977. After two months of language and spiritual immersion 12 of us left on a Pan Am jet to our mission which was the Costa Rica-San Jose Mission which in those days included the countries of Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Honduras. I was privileged to serve in all of the countries except Panama during my two year mission. I still think of those days almost every day even now.
there are many mormons here in the Philippines before. but now it's a bit of a mormon I'll see now, my family my grandma, granpa are also a mormon member before, and i'm also a kid when we came a mormon and I still remember american people visit my birthday. and they carry me as their baby hahaha. What a beautiful memories with them and now I'm 18 years old when i have chance I want now to be part of the mormon again and with my family. 😄
Great film. I work with youth in South Central Los Angeles. I would like to be able to use this video as part of a Sunday Aaronic priesthood lessons to encourage plans for serving missions. I am hesitant to do so because there is a dramatic lack of people in the film who look like the youth I work with. I understand that we are all God's children and it shouldn't matter but I am talking about people who already feel their minority status in American life and will interpret going on a mission, as shown in this film, as something for members of European ancestry only. In the future when such films are produced can you please be more aware of this and use a diverse group of on camera people so as to have a more inclusive effect for viewers. Thanks. Verlin Richins, Inglewood California Stake.
What an inspiring place to prepare to teach people of all lands and nations! Go forward in faith. The Lord is on your side. His plan is in place. The field is white and wide.
Awesome, thank you for the #ShareGoodness +Mormon Newsroom! I didn't think I'd be able to see a tour of the new teaching building. 😃 And seeing the older areas brought back memories back when I served in 2002-2004 ( #GeorgiaMaconMission ). Very well done from a filmmaker perspective, yep, serving a mission is an experience one can not have anywhere else. #TrueStory!
Happy to have served back in the 90s. I remember the MTC and have fond memories of it. Would I serve today knowing what I know about the church today? that's a great if. I'm glad I didn't know that information back then when I was 19
I've always wanted to see what the inside of a mormon church looks like. I only went into one once just to warm up for a few minutes cause it was freezing outside, but I was too afraid to explore cause I was afraid I would be kicked out.
Eydis no I promise you, being a present Mormon you would never be kicked out, we encourage people to come and listen and look around we would never kick any one out no race no gender or belief, every sign outside our building says visitors welcome!!
Hoping to get a reply from Church Newsroom. I first met LDS missionaries when I was stationed in Korea back in 1975-76. One of the doctor's at Kunsan Air Base arrived with me on the same flight. I was an Air Force Nurse. Dr. Gerald Eldridge was Morman (from Utah) and was very comfortable talking about his faith. He invited me to go to a LDS Conference up in Seoul, Koera and that is the first time I met LDS missionaries. Since then I have seen them every where it seems. Indianapolis, In I was there for 10 months. Due to the way you tube associate videos I have watch such as returns of military service people returning home, I have recently seen on You tube video's of Returns of Missionaries after there missions a few questions have come to my mind. Do these Missionaries volunteer/request a Missionary assignment or is this required? I saw some "return home with honer" does this have a special meaning, So some come home without honors? In this video I saw one being assigned to Indianapolis. If I recalled correctly back in 2001/2002 the LDS Church had 3 different Stake scheduled at different times on Sunday to accommodate them. If they are that large why would they need missionaries from other cities be assigned there? Also I noted negative videos on you tube re: LDS Church. Even one what to do if they come to your door. Except for one Elder, all the ones I have met has been polite. I felt bad for this Elder companion as I saw the look on his face after his companion was rude. I never was or will be rude, I respect their efforts and dedication, even though after attending Sunday School and etc, when I was in Indianapolis I felt that the LDS Church and I did not fit. Wow this new buidling is amazing! It is really exciting to get to know it but it was even more fulfilling to feel the Spirit thru these young men and women's enthusiasm to serve others. After coming back from a mission over 20 years ago and having just been set apart for another a couple days ago, it was really exciting to watch this video. Thanks for sharing it!
Shawna Jensen Johnson Yes. Military personnel get so much credit and respect from the public for serving, their service can involve killing and fighting. Missionaries share a message of peace. I don’t get why Americans don’t afford them the same admiration. They and The Church are the best export from America (all be it The Church is a global church not an American church).
Thank you. I'm one of Jehovah's witnesses and i Love the brothers and sisters from the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints. You really look the same as Jehovah's witnesses. We both serve our heavenly father. Agape Brs+Srs
I'm nick villcarlos I'm about to go on a mission and I'm ready for april 2018. 19 years old and just taught by the missionaries. in this video that I watched the day was even more so with the great desire to go to the mission

I was in the MTC for 12 weeks back in 2007. This video brought back so many memories for me!

Amazing, my dad and my husband are both converts. Keep the Faith. JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONLY WAY TO PEACE.

The MTC was the best month of my life without question. I absolutely loved the spirit that was felt there it was like no other time in my life.
As a protestant theologian and pastor I admire the enthusiasm of mormons. They are willing to listen and serve.
As a perspective missionary i felt it right down deep in my heart that Jesus Christ loves each and everyone of us just like as we are aliken to him . And we all are to witness he's great love and guidance right here in serving him and bringing his children unto him.
I truly can't wait to go on a mission, I could feel the Holy Spirit strong during te video.
Amazing place for young people and Seniors who want to serve Jesus Christ and spread his word and work throughout the world. Thank you for this tour.
The new facilities are incredible! So many memories and such a powerful life altering two years.
Lovely memories of teaching here in the '70s; so much amazing progress has been made on the campus. ❤️

God bless you and may we all stand for the success of the kingdom of our father.
That is so awesome what a wonderful blessing this is to go out and preach the gospel
Absolutely awesome great and amazing video. I never went to a mission but i converted. Greetings from a Swede 🇸🇪
who used to live in northern part of Utah
I graduated from BYU in Provo. I lived there about 10 years. I still have a 10-bed house rented out in Provo. I enjoyed the peaceful life there.
Awesome! Nearly 25 years later (September 23rd 1992), I remember the wonderful experiences I had as a missionary at the MTC. My time at that remarkable place remains among the most memorable of my life's events.
So good to hear.
I was there in February 1979. What a difference the MTC is now. I never regret my time as a missionary.
Same here. Miss the food, too!
So you never read the new testament then..
The 2 year service would be better spent going to school
Changing the world - one child of God at a time. Thank you, elders and sisters, for being willing to do the work of gathering Israel in these latter days! I've never served a mission myself, but how blessed that I am to be associated in such a small way with such stalwart examples :-)
Wow this awesome ! Been a member for a minute never seen this before thanks so much my brothers for the tour !
I was at the missionary training center in Bogotá, South America 😆 1995. I want to serve on another mission, next time with my wife 😁
Currently preparing to serve my mission! I am very overwhelmed but proceeding with faith!
I know you won't see this till missions end but hope it went well and the word of God was spread forth
The two years of my life I will never forget. They were so precious !
Oh my goodness! I was raised with Pres. Martino in DentonTexas! Quality family! 0:30
I remember the time I spent in the MTC many years ago ... it was a wonderful experience.
I love missionaries and I really appreciate their efforts to share the Gospel in different country & language, May God always be with you.
I really miss my missionary friend, Sister Anjum and Sister Akhram, you’ll always be in my heart forever.
- Sister Anna of sta.mesa ward
I hope I continue to meet more elder missionaries for me it's a blessing
Very cool to remember what it was like to teach the gospel 24/7. Well done.
My brother reports to the MTC on August 20th Good luck bro ❤️
I'm always interested in knowing other faiths, and I'm happy I saw this little bit. I was hearing "empty sea" all the time, good to know it means something else hehe, makes more sense!
That's so cool! You can learn more here: comeuntoChrist.org thanks for your interest in the Gospel. Blessings.
18 months that I’ll never forget 🤎🤎🤎🤎
I wish we could end our missions at the MTC too! I loved it there!
I have such respect for the missionaries, and I am proud of them. I am not LDS, but am considering it. God Bless the missionaries!
Thank you for your comment!
@@churchnewsroom You are welcome, thank you!

Provo MTC is the best on the world😵 There have very strong spirit!!!
I'm miss there so much!!!
Lindos filhos do Senhor!!! Trabalho inigualável.....amar os outros filhos do Senhor!!!!!
That is cool
there are many mormons here in the Philippines before. but now it's a bit of a mormon I'll see now, my family my grandma, granpa are also a mormon member before, and i'm also a kid when we came a mormon and I still remember american people visit my birthday. and they carry me as their baby hahaha. What a beautiful memories with them and now I'm 18 years old when i have chance I want now to be part of the mormon again and with my family. 😄
Yo soy producto de la obra misional!
Por jovenes como estos que dejaron todo yo conoci la verdad!
Amo esta obra!
Just beautiful!! I was at the MTC in 2000. I can't wait to return with my eternal companion when we're retired. ❤❤❤
How different was it?
God's Army¡¡Thank you for spreading the gospel to all man kind.
What an inspiring place to prepare to teach people of all lands and nations!
Go forward in faith.
The Lord is on your side.
His plan is in place.
The field is white and wide.
I served on a mission in 1995. I'm 44 now. I'm getting ready for a second mission but... With my beloved wife.
how wonderful to see. what a beautiful place on earth. :) like home
Did the Open House today! Love the great spirit of the missionaries there!
I hope I will be in this place soon, currently preparing myself. I got chills watching this
where can u find this "Army of Helaman" audio?? It's really nice 😍😭
I’d be so nervous to serve! But you do the Lords’ work you’ll sure feel the love and blessings
This is so special, it's a touching video.♥️
Awesome, thank you for the #ShareGoodness +Mormon Newsroom! I didn't think I'd be able to see a tour of the new teaching building. 😃 And seeing the older areas brought back memories back when I served in 2002-2004 ( #GeorgiaMaconMission ). Very well done from a filmmaker perspective, yep, serving a mission is an experience one can not have anywhere else. #TrueStory!
❤❤ beautiful video God bless you all
AWESOME VIDEO,bring me so many memories,so wonderful
oh my heart! made me reminisce my mtc experience...i missed it sooooo bad😍😭
Wow, I can’t believe how strong I felt the spirit while watching this video.
So much to see. I imagine a room with a reconstruction of Jesus in the Americas.
Missionaries are great. I admire them. So much faith! If somebody needs practise in Russian let me know.
agreed
Alex!! My brother is going to st Petersburg, Russia on his mission! He reports to the Provo MTC August 20th
It is lovely seeing all those flags. how precious are the Lord's missionaries.
I am from Mexico I am a LDS member and a happy mother of a future missionary ... and I feel happy
Nice and informative video. Regards from Jakarta
I really this church with all my heart
Wow this new buidling is amazing! It is really exciting to get to know it but it was even more fulfilling to feel the Spirit thru these young men and women's enthusiasm to serve others. After coming back from a mission over 20 years ago and having just been set apart for another a couple days ago, it was really exciting to watch this video. Thanks for sharing it!
True warrior's going out helping this world to come to know and remember our Savior.
agreed
Shawna Jensen Johnson Yes. Military personnel get so much credit and respect from the public for serving, their service can involve killing and fighting. Missionaries share a message of peace. I don’t get why Americans don’t afford them the same admiration. They and The Church are the best export from America (all be it The Church is a global church not an American church).
Thank you. I'm one of Jehovah's witnesses and i Love the brothers and sisters from the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints. You really look the same as Jehovah's witnesses. We both serve our heavenly father.
