Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for this study on the Trinity. I’ve been Adventist for over 25 years, The Lord sent me to meetings there the Trinity was taught. About 2 years ago I visited an online ministry. Everything was fine until they said The Holy Spirit was not The Third person of the Godhead. I did’nt believe it, because The Holy Spirit is seen from Genesis to Revelation in the Bible. But is was upsetting! I could not believe it! The one Jesus personally requested of His Father to send to humanity after He would leave, and which The Father did send. The one involved from the very beginning of creation, is not a member of The Godhead is crazy. To hear that Jesus and God The Father is willing to risk us into the hands of such a one is truly upsetting!!! Thank God that is and never will be the case. It leaves a terrible mark against God’s character of love, it’s a terrible deception for the people. How on earth are you going to be sealed in the last days. My bible tells me The Holy Spirit does that, and all the truth(Jesus) leading up to it. This is a mean spirit. May The Lord help us all!!! AMEM

The answer to the question lies in the understanding of the hierarchy in heaven God the Father, Jesus (the son, high priest & king), the Holy Spirit, the angels, and finally us (people on earth). This is the line of communication set out in the Bible for us. We are instructed to pray & petition the Father in Jesus’s name. No other pathway is set out for this in the Bible.
It is unfortunate to see how people don't want to accept the Son of God. Jerry Moon unlike Ellen White and the pioneers does not believe Jesus to be the Son of God. Rightfully so, because the trinity doctrine denies the sonship of Jesus Christ and deems it only a metaphor. Go in the Bible and the writings of Ellen White and find where Ellen White stated that Jesus is not the Son of God. You won't find that because it is not true. Christ is fully divine, deity. Just as the son of a man here on earth is fully human. Christ was begotten of the Father and can rightfully be called God, but He is the Son of God. Do we put limits on god that he doesn't put on himself or do we only set limits on god that he already set on himself? For instance is god omnipresent or is he limited in time and space? If the one playing the roll of the father has a form and body like the one pretending to be the son then there are limits to them of both time and space. For instance jesus could only be in one place at one time. When jesus was on earth he prayed to his pretend father in heaven. When jesus was being baptized his pretend father was present and he gave a speach. When the one called the father was one earth was he not in heaven and when in heaven was he not on earth? How about the one playing the holy spirit was he or she or it limited by time and space or are the three of them really not coequal? Also how can we be sure that all three never had a beginning? It is hard enough to conceive of the concept of one being always existing but to believe that three beings always existed when nothing else did and these three seats of consciousness coexited in perfect harmony and then created everthing in perfect harmony is a bit more of a strech to believe. What about immortality and the inability to be tempted? What about one knowing all things and two not knowing all things? What about one having all power, and one being giving it to the other? It seems that the coequal part might be a bit of a stretch. The church did change gods from one being who always existed who is eternal, immortal, omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent to three gods who possess a lot more limitations plus a denial of a literal father and a literal only begotten son which the bible refers to as a doctrine of antichrist. Best case scenario 1 belief is right and 1 is wrong, worse case scenario, both are wrong and the truth is something else.

I was born into a SDA family and always believed in the ‘trinity: god the father, god the son, and god the holy spirit until recently; however, studying the Scriptures with the Spirit of Prophecy and our Pioneers beliefs, I can wholeheartedly say that all those who believe as such are wrong. The trinity doctrine is a false doctrine which was brought into the church primarily by LeRoy Froom who was a Jesuit Catholic priest and joined the SDA church for the sole purpose to deceive and mislead many thus leading them to perdition. Please study the Scriptures and Spirit of Prophecy diligently with prayer and find out for yourself that NONE of our Pioneers nor Sister White believed in the trinity. For example, she refuted Dr Kellog and Brother Chapman who came to believe in god the father, god the son and god the holy spirit, three gods in unity, thus god the holy spirit being a different person to the Father and the Son [Jesus Christ.] Here just a few quotes from Sister White and some of our Pioneers on this matter, which trinitarians are ignoring: "Cumbered with humanity, Christ could not be in every place personally; therefore it was altogether for their advantage that He should leave them, go to His Father, and send the Holy Spirit to be His successor on earth. The Holy Spirit is Himself, divested of the personality of humanity, and independent thereof. I would like to see a trinity defense from the bible and the bible only! l believe Rae challenged the sda administrators to prove even 20% of all the books coming from the white estate was of original ellen white content! if you have seen transcripts from ellen you would see she was barely literate...her writings in my opinion, were products from her very able writing staff and the large library they had access to. I think it is time the adventist denomination becomes biblical only. This ellen white revering is ridiculous...even her home and grave with its obelisk are almost a point of worship. Des ford perhaps said it best when he claimed the sda church has much to offer protestent christianity...but the denomination must become more biblical!

@lorenshetler8659 where does 1 John 5:7 show a trinity? Even the SDA higher-ups admit that that verse is an added verse (Johannine Comma). Nowhere in the bible does it say that the HS is God. It says it is the Spirit OF God. If the HS was God, WHY was Lucifer 3rd in line to the throne and not this other God, the Holy Spirit?
1 John 5:7 clearly shows the triune God. "For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one." Now show me from the Bible where Lucifer was third from the throne?

Nowhere in the bible does it say that the HS is God. It says it is the Spirit OF God.
If the HS was God, WHY was Lucifer 3rd in line to the throne and not this other God, the Holy Spirit?
1 John 5:7 clearly shows the triune God. "For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one."
Now show me from the Bible where Lucifer was third from the throne?
Ez 28:14
Have you not read the bible? It says Lucifer was the anointed cherub.
And Ellen says that there was the Father, His Son, and next was Lucifer in line.
