That is AWESOME!! Thank you for the video, my coupler rotted through with 60k on a 2014, what a garbage design, would have probably spent a small fortune at the trans shop but thanks to your video and time i can repair it now myself..Again Thank you!! Cheers

Have they been holding up good? Looking to do the same fix myself.

Very cool, So if I was to flush & refill the transmission using the transmission hydraulic pump, breaking these lines would be the place to do that? After cleaning trans pan, magnet, & replacing filter, gasket, etc . Then refill & run approx 3 Qt. Out of hose at cooler & refilling the transmission each time using the start/ stop engine method of pushing new fluid through the whole system?? That should be able to replace all the old fluid?

yea that would work how ever the thermostat in the trans keeps fluid from flowing till hot!

Thanks for the video. Given there is a thermostat in the tranny, is the transmission temp the same or lower? Also, cutting off the shoulders of the two steel lines eliminates the hose obstruction. Run the hoses 6 inches over the steel line and clamp.

I was wondering the same but it also seems to help in preventing it from popping off. Have you done this if so how's it held up?

has been perfectly fine for over year now! all transmissions were cooled using rubber hoses. ford uses hard lines and quick connects to make assembly process at the factory faster.

That's great to hear. Yup the quick connects have given me problems. The quick connect plastic coolant joints have been a problem. Although strong motor and transmission
      Thanks for the reply 😀

Watched the video twice to check what size hose you are using?? I am guessing it is 1/2 inch hose, please let me know if it is a different size..thx
