    Love how someone could record that guy Greg getting into a wreck but not help him for 10 mins

    • @MoneyBass

      That was kind of odd....I wonder if it took 10 minutes to get to him. 🤔

    • @NOQUARTER_
      @NOQUARTER_ Год назад

      That part wasn't true. He was pulled from the water within a couple of minutes. I actually saw an interview with the guy and the people who pulled him from the water. I'm pretty sure he was making a video showing the performance of the boat. Not 100% sure, but pretty sure it was something like that.

      @NOQUARTER_ Год назад +1

      @MoneyBass I found the original video. They were recording him testing his new boat. He went to cross over the waves and went air born. He WASN'T in the water unconscious for 10 minutes. He was unconscious for a total of 10 minutes even after pulling him from the water.

      That is the bad part of bass tournaments now. So many new people just buying bass boats and aren’t realizing what they are playing with. Bass boats aren’t a joke they are rockets and aren’t just toys. They need to start some kind of a training class for people I have seen a lot of stupid stuff in the last few years. A spot isn’t worth you or your partners life

  • @gregtaylor4654
    @gregtaylor4654 Год назад

    My name is Greg, I'm not that stupid when I'm running down the lake, to not slow down when you come up on a wake or cut across it and trim down, that helps a lot 🤔

  • @stilltuckered
    @stilltuckered Год назад

    The second boat acted like it hit a log or something. They can ‘float’ just below the surface of the water.
    The foam in the boat should have kept it from sinking. The bow may be sticking up in the air, but it’s not completely underwater.

  • @tomstclair961
    @tomstclair961 Год назад

    It's driver error and not knowing when to drop the bow a little bit and take your wakes and your turns. When that motor is trimmed up , it is lifting the entire boat out of the water. It's only riding on about 4 inches of the back edge of the boat and the lower unit and propeller. You have to trim that motor down a little bit to let the boat settle back in the water so it can maneuver properly through what it is your going through. Trimmed up all the way and hammer down is only for straight clean running. You better know what your boat will do before getting someone hurt. It happens!! That's how we learn sometimes 😮😊. Glad nobody's hurt. That first one was amazing!! I'd buy one of those hulls. To he the rocks at that speed and that boat was ready to go again. That says a lot for that hull for sure.. good boat!!

    So that first boat wreck was Aaron Britt (good friend of mine) on Lay Lake 2021 to which he had to get another boat but totaled this one. The second wreck was Skeet Reese that helped the boater during an actual tournament in 2019. After all this, you only showed 3 wrecks instead of 4.

    A few years ago my hot foot saved my butt from a really bad incident, ever since then I wear my kill switch and lifevest every time. So here's what happened I have a 1998 ranger with 1998 model Mercury 175 efi. Unknown to me at the time, the bolts had loosened off on my steering yoke and one was stripped out and the other was broken, luckily I had launched in the creek in the upper portion of the lake that morning so I wasn't able to go really fast, just fast enough to get on pad. So just up from the ramp was a sharp creek bend to the right I was going just fast enough to be on plane when I hit that hard right right turn the steering yoke broke off the motor, throwing me into the passenger seat, but my foot hung in the hot foot shutting the engine down. If it hadn't been for the hot foot I would have been in real trouble, and I shudder to think what if I had launched in an area that was clear and I was going full speed when that happened. Always always always wear your life jacket and kill switch, and if your running an older motor do a thorough inspection of your steering yoke connections. To fix it I rethreaded it a size bigger and had to run one side all the way through and put a nut on it, I used some thread locker compound that is used on drilling rigs ( my dad retired from offshore drilling ).

    I'm probably gonna piss people off, but bass boats have got to be one of the most unsafe designs. Very fast, but no wave handling capability. I have a deep v multi-species boat. Its not as fast,
    but way better at cutting through chop and wakes. The way a lot of these guys fish off shore, with live scan, they might be better off with a deep v style boat anyway...

    The first one was Aaron Britt. He lives here in Folsom CA. He's just a punk kid that no one really likes because he's not humble even after the boat accident he blamed everyone else instead of owning up to his shit. Also he didn't have his kill switch attached which he also denied.🤣
