He should have Chinese flags 🇨🇳 on his shirt instead of the American flag. NOTHING they sell is manufactured in the United States. 6cents does the same thing. I will not buy either brand.
Bought my first 2 jigs today. No bites. Lost one. Had a frigging blast throwing em though and nothing was biting period so I didn't feel too bad. Plus I really just enjoy the act of casting amd reeling
I love fishing but I was always a worm and minnow guy with bobber or bottom casting. Wanted to fish some smaller lakes close by me to see if I can be lucky catching some bass. This video really helps on how to use a Jig. Thank you.
@@l3lu2 i took it out yesterday and it performed great. I wasnt able to get on any fish but casting was great. I have a shimano slx dc on it and they work together flawlessly.
Th key imo to fishing a jig properly is to understand you're not fishing the jig- you're fishing the trailer you put on the jig. A jig alone will very, very rarely get bitten- no one fishes them this way, it's the trailer you put on it that is gonna decide whether or not you get bit and how you need to fish it. A jig was simply made to add secondary action to a plastic- primary action is like the action of the bait flapping, swimming, etc.- but the skirt when it moves in the current while the jig is sitting still, when it flares and rolls while moving it- that's secondary action- it mimics the scales of a fish glinting, their gills moving, a craws appendages shaking and moving as it swims, etc. That's why it catches larger than average fish- because these are the fish that are very picky- they look for that secondary action to determine if something is real or not. So first determine what it is you're trying to mimic- bait fish or crawfish. If you're fishing a normal jig, not a swim jig, then it's probably crawfish so- think craw fish colors and pay attention to water clarity- the more stained it is the darker the color you need. Move it on or close to bottom like a crawfish moves- I like to just crawl it over the rocks and maybe every once and awhile give it a little pop, pop off bottom and let if fall back. Look for rocky bottom that's where crawfish hang out mostly- or around cover like brush piles and laydowns. If you're fishing rocky bottom you want a football head jig, the shape of the head doesn't get caught in the cracks as often- if you're fishing wood or something similar then a pitching jig or Arkie style head works best- if you're in thick grass then a punching jig with a pointed head works best. Pay attention to fall rate which is controlled by the weight of the jig and what kind of trailer you put on it- also pay attention to whether they want something with lots of kick or something that just sits there basically. It all seems more complicated than it really is- jigs are actually pretty simple. There are just several different styles and tons of different trailers so, it's a deep rabbit hole if you want to go down it.
Caught a 28 inch pike out of my local lake (some would call it a pond lol) using a half ounce swim jig with a kicking trailer. Just swimming it along, letting it get caught up in some grass and pop it out and bam, get hit. Another pike I caught doing the same thing wasn't very long, but it was a fat one. And then got a pretty decent one last night as well with a chatterbait that had a senko worm trailer.
where the haters that we saw in the comment section in Terkla or Jon B tutorials? seems maybe not googan baits so much, but maybe a vendetta against these two? idk, your thoughts buddy?
Ive been struggling to figure out jig fishing... this is the first summer ive ever tried using a jig and ive caught one bass with it... it was a nice 4 pounder tho .. but i guess i just gotta keep practicing
LFG I know you have said you usually fish with braid to a mono/ fluoro leader (depending on circumstances) on your spinning set up. What length leader do you generally tie because I always see vetted fishermen re-tying lures and tackle so often. Is a new leader also inthe mix every time you switch lure set ups?
If u go on LFG channel you can find a video from a month ago with a smaller filthy frog in it if I remember right there still in prototype but hopefully they'll be released
Love your baits!! Just picked up a clutch, banger, blooper and 2 Poppin Filthy Frogs (I love poppers over walkers) today. Also got some hammer hooks (finally)!. Can't wait to try them out! Keep making these awesome products and videos! I'm a sold customer now and will be buying a muscle rod for froggin soon 😎🤙🏻
Bass fishing is there anything better and I am addicted too it I am now 14 two years ago I started my channel and I am damn proud of it and I am finally getting close too my 1 k sub goal !!
Peric on the highlight reel is the best part. He has to do his fair share of work somehow. Edit - even if its more than year old footage of him or the footage of him losing a 10 pounder.
where can i get a googan reaction rod? There sold out on the googan site and I checked all over here in San Antonio Texas and none to be found. Great video though. I am new to bass fishing and am trying to get my gear straight. I like that muscle rod too. I guess I will be needing a muscle rod too for Jigs lol. Googan needs to make a neon green rod so I can get 2 to match my 2 neon green 13 fishing inception sz baitcast reels.

Honestly you guys make great baits but there just not my style of fishing, but your jigs in the other hand are damn near perfect. Just offer thinner skirts

High ratio reel . Start waist, high pop, pop, pop, on some edges, grass pads etc. Power jig flipping. Good for summer. Braid and a heavy rod.

Try to do a mono leader same width as your braid, tie 6 ft leader, once it shortens to about 4 ft I change it
