It works great to use a hair dryer on cold or vacuum in reverse to find a leak. No carbon monoxide and no heat in exhaust!! I also used a smoke bomb with air blowing the smoke through. Thats by far the fastest. You don't have to run around spraying water. You just look for smoke!
@@tongo117 just did this on my 1999 4Runner. The cats are crazy expensive and I am trying hard to not replace them. Looking forward to the 2year update. Thx.
I did what you did to my flex that was broken from the top where it connects to the pipe. It’s held 3 months so far. Was thinking about going over the whole flex with titanium wrap. But seeing your last a year plus I may not even do that now.
I replaced this exhaust a few weeks ago.. Tape was still holding 4 years later.. Exhaust just rusted out around the tape.. ruclips.net/video/N0MDHrLphXI/видео.html
Nice, yeah my whole pipe in both directions is good, just that darn flex decided to rot and snap. My buddy wants me to do it right for around 40 bucks. But I figure for this cheap see how long it holds up for 1st .
Good vid ! That stuff is Tuff Looking. Ill have to check out that original vid. Looks Amazingly good after a Year. How close to exhaust manifold is it ?
Yeah you have to catch this type of product during its shelf life. If you get a dry one just return it. It should come out of the airtight package “gooey” feeling through your disposable glove even before you soak it in water pre install.
Has anyone used this or titanium wrap with flex pipe? My ford edge bottom of flex pipe is leaking but no visible open areas (except when tested with soapy water confirmation). Wondering if this would cause damage elsewhere in the exhaust system or components?
I let it idle for 20 minutes immediately after the repair to heat up the exhaust and tape then let it sit overnight.. I drove it the next day.. Here's the original repair video: ruclips.net/video/Bbbl8fsCx1M/видео.html
Not sure where you live but I live in the northeast where a vehicles exhaust lasts about 10 years from the time you drive it off the lot brand new. I can’t wait to gtf out of here.
I like that you followed through with a one year update. This info gives us a real world test of the product.
It's still on after almost 3 years..
Thats what i was thinking. 🤷🏻♂️. Cool that he did that. Really do appreciate. Haha
@@tongo117 this stuff is great where do I get it?
Unfortunately it's gone way up in price:

1-year later still good boy I am sold on that tape! That was a very informative test you did here.
Hope it helped.. Thanks for reply..
I live in Canada and one year after this stuff is continuing on strong. Best $15 ever spent
Yeah mine is almost 1.5 years now and still good..
Thanks man, because of your vid, with confidence I will repair the leak in my daily driver.

You are awesome! Thanks for the follow up and the helpful videos. I appreciate your work.
I've been using this stiff with no issues for years!
GREAT DEMO
Cool test. Ya eventually another hole will start. Hell if it seals it to pass inspection or enough to sell the car. It's all good!
Thankfully no annual inspection in Georgia..
Great video. Clear, concise and real world. Keep it up.
Thanks.. I'll probably do a 2 year update in Oct cause as of now it's still holding..

Thanks, I was on the fence about using this fix but this seems worth the small cost.
Definitely worth the cost in my case.. It's still on after almost 3 years..
Gonna give this a try. Wish me luck 🤞
Thanks! Very helpful. Looks like a great product. Surprising!
Yeah 1.5 years now and still holding..

Hey guys chrisfix here
Did you dampen the JB Weld Muffler product before you wrapped it around your muffler system? Thank you for your video.
Yes.. This is the original repair video:ruclips.net/video/Bbbl8fsCx1M/видео.html

Repair is about 7ft from exhaust manifold..
I bought 2 packages of this stuff. one stuff was gluey as hell and the other one was dry
Did you use them?? If so did they work??

I had a small leak in my headers. I needed to pass inspection. I did a quick repair with fibrefix. 2 years later, I still haven’t bought new headers…
Just did 2 year check on my repair.. Small leak has developed.. Will post video soon..
@@tongo117 still pretty good value for money :)
Should I use this on my low pressure hoes on my vehicle
Lol 😂 I think it’s supposed to be REALLY soapy ☁️not🤦🏼♀️like Water💦 Thanks for sharing though🥰

Looks like what orthopedics use to cast broken limbs.
There's no link in the top left corner.
Link is there when I play vid.. At 02:11
bruh that tape build diffrent
Have you tried JB weld on the exhaust pipe?
used it for lots of other stuff but never on exhaust..
One Year later But How Many Miles ? . For All I Know It Could Have Just Sat In The Driveway Or Garage For One Year ?

Yeah no snow, no salt where I'm at.. Deep South..
Will this work on the flex pipe in the front ?
Not sure.. Don't know how it would handle the movement of the flex pipe..
@@tongo117 yeah I was thinking that. It would (IF) “it hardens like steel”
You live in California bro
Other side of USA.. S/E Georgia..
I was looking for a temporary fix, but now im more optimistic!
Yeah it's still holding.. This Oct will be 3 years..
