The Civic has been a loud girl since the day I purchased her. Once I found the problem I decided to try muffler / exhaust pipe tape to see if I could sneak a repair past with a jury rigged solution. Did it work?
I use the Tiger Tape brand i found at an Auto Zone for about $5.00 USD.
There are many ways to "skin the cat" and these are the methods that I use. Any criticisms or alternate methods posted in the comments are welcome, just keep it civil.

Hope ur F23 is still banging! Thanks for stopping by.
This stuff made a world of difference on my 97 Accord... Until the resonator pipe completely rusted apart, ripped the tape, and fell off lol

Notice that no one shows a muffler repair where the pipe joins the muffler, likely the most common point of failure? I watched a video w/ a guy trying using both tape and putty. He eventually gave up and bought a muffler.
U got a sub. For.your pure honesty
Thank you!
As Long As it Don't Cause Drivability Issues Like Mine Getting Misfires On Cylinders 2 & 4 & Giving You Rich & Lean Code Warnings I Guess If You Can Deal with The Noise its Fine...Mine Is Leaking Between the EGR tube Connection & The Bell Connection On My Drivers Side Exhaust Manifold 😟
Should try this on the old truck.
FYI those cans are lined with plastic.

I bought that same exact tiger patch (there are many variations) and used a Coke can over my hole. When I went to peel the backings on both sides of the wrap,. I was expecting to be a little tacky or sticky. Mine was not sticky at all while leaving it out in the sun on a 65 degree day.
Do you remember if yours was a sticky product? Maybe I got a defective batch.
No. It wasn't very sticky at all. I'm guessing once the pipe heats up it activates the adhesive. Mine has not unwrapped since I installed it.

@@ktecgarage Thank you. I guess I will use a heat gun and get it a bit pliable. I got it on sale so don't really want to return it. Hopefully it bonds to my pipe as yours did. Thanks again.
It used to be super sticky before you installed it. They must have changed the way they make it. It doesn't work as well and you have to put a clamp over it till it heats up enough to stick. The old one was awesome. New one not so much. I can't find the really sticky ones anymore.
Waste of time and money. Could have just used some beer cans and metal zip ties. If you wanted to do it perfect, just add a little JB Weld high temperature epoxy with the cut cans and it will never let you down or even leak.
Spend about $11 and it's a permanent fix or about $0 and it's a permanent fix with a slight exhaust leak 😂
It's been a year since you did this, how has it held up?
Sorry man. I sold that car a few months after the video. For the price, it did quieten the car down.
It never worked for me.
Why must you abuse your poor hands, dude? Such disrespect for these amazing things that make life possible!
Короче Склихосовский
you didn't even peel the plastic off each side
I did. I mentioned kind of fast that I had already removed it. Sorry if it was confusing.
