I'm assuming a few battery modules were removed to save weight. What was the usable capacity here? It's better to release mod details so potential buyers aren't confused. Burning 60% battery in less than 10 minutes is not a good look.
It was 50% battery and that’s pretty normal for running that flat out. With 80 usable that’s approx 40kwh used in about 10 min, or an average output of 240kw, approx 321hp. This car can boost to 505kw in the street version. This seems right on target, essentially using just under 50% of the cars peak power on average up the hill, including braking zones.
@BlueHopi144 You know race cars don't fill their tanks to 100% when they do these short runs right? Same logic applies to EV race vehicles. There was a Ford F150 Lightening doing the same run. They removed some of the battery modules for that truck. I can't remember how much. But they released their mod details, though.
@strml_ Pretty impossible to go flat out at Pikes Peak. Doubt you could ever hit top speeds there. Also, hard regen breaking should mitigate that insane battery drain. Unless again, they disabled regen, in which case they need to release the mods. Again, I'm doing some rounding here, but 60% battery in 10 minutes is a lot. Yes, it wasn't exactly 60%, but the race wasn't exactly 10 minutes either. All indications point to 60% depletion if the race was 10 minutes.
love the camera shots. don't know if pure coincidence, but many looks like the video "clim dance" with Ari Vatanen :)
Been waiting for this video a while. The only EV to not need that annoying siren😅
stupid question, but what's the noise from?
your A**
Synthetic sound comes from the speaker.

It is a very good looking honestly, and hé is going above 120km/h all the time lol
