Nice, they came out with an EV version too recently. I can’t believe this man I’m slowly becoming an EV freak now. A beautiful car and a technological tour de force. That interior color looks great when new and clean but will give your detailer job security. I can see the rear mats already seem to have ground in dirt. While this Genesis is certainly built and priced for the well-heeled that can afford the high dealer service/repair costs and will likely replace their vehicles every few years. I would be interested to see how all this tech holds up in a 100k mile plus follow-up review as you've done with the 2016 G80 model.
Why make that button door close feature and not slow the process enough at the end to function properly with the soft closing door feature. I own the 2018 version of the G90 and LOVE my soft closing doors; I don't ever slam or shut my door the traditional way at this point...besides, I was told, closing (slamming/shutting) your door the traditional way with soft closing doors will cause damage. Not sure they thought this out all the way...jmo.
Really love the G80 & this beautiful car,G90. But with a $100k price tag, definitely going to need it to get up & out there when needed. But will also wait for the price tag to drop a bit. Thanks for the review 🙏🏾
This car is amazing in almost every aspect! I recently surprised my wife with the 2024 E Supercharged in Makalu Gray with the all white interior. This is our 5th Genesis vehicle and her 2nd G90, which is a 2021 5.0. In silver with the taupe interior. My wife says the 2024 is only missing the 5.0 8 cylinder. If she wants more acceleration, she just jumps in her 2022 C8 Corvette LT2 Z51. Remember, a happy wife is a blessing!😇
Wow massive congrats to you and your wife those are some awesome vehicles you all have and I'm glad you appreciate and see the quality of these Genesis products. The G90 is really something else, enjoy!
Great review Kevin, the car looks amazing, the light wrapping around the fender, to me, is fresh and looks great. The rear is gorgeous, and the front somehow makes me think of an Aston. I think the "magic" your describing is refinement. You know I'm Lexus Boy, and cannot seem to let go of my 18 LS. With that said, and being objective the Genesis is beautiful. Long live the sedan. I agree the delay is probably intentional. Excellent articulation, and the rear flank from the side is very attractive. The LS V6 is not a V8, it never will be, and the "lethargic" feel without the cream torque of the V8 is real, also with Lexus. I did a long road trip in the LS in light traffic and was 32 mpg, no V8 that I know of can do it, and I am good with the tradeoff. Genesis in this and the SUV department are really beautiful in design, if they are mechanically that good, the other guys better look out.
Yea my friend I wanted to mention the front did remind me of an Aston. I’m actually going to do a G90 vs LS500 vid seperatley because the LS is heavily misunderstood especially the new one. In my opinion the LS is kind of the driver’s car in the flagship range along with an M sport 7 series. Is your LS the F Sport?
Hi Kevin my LS is not the F type, I didn't really see the point. Mine is Eminent White with Parchment interior and luxury package. The V8 missing does change the dynamics as far as thrust, the twin turbo is great but requires getting used to. I drove a 21 and the ride is less busy for lack of a better word, perhaps a little more refined, but we love the car. I just replaced original run flats with Michelin and they are a little better. All I really know to describe my experience is that when I walk up to it, I think what a beautiful sedan, and when I get in it, I think damn this is gorgeous. I've not had many cars for this long evoke those kind of feelings. Mine only has 23k miles and really still feels new. I love big bodied sedans, and I just think the Japanese version of luxury is like a elegant parlor on wheels. The LS is a magnificent road car, I've read all the reviews and some complaints about the driving and or body lines, so I guess I just have a special connection with the Japanese engineers, I think they got it very right. I'm not a baller type......but I think I could if I so desired. Oh, and my wife to this day LOVES the black chrome wheels, and told me so a few days ago when I picked her up.
I actually like the interior of the non F sport LS more especially for the 18-20 models like you have. You’re definitely a big baller in that car for sure 😅 demands a lot of attention and respect. I kind of look at the LS like a new version of a GS with one of the best interiors on the planet. I actually don’t mind the V6 it is very quick, quicker than this G90 for sure.

I have a 2018 g80..I absolutely love it..it's so quiet and smooth..I love it and I will only drive Genesis cars...I wish I could afford a new g80 or g90 but I'm happy with my 2018 g80...Go Genesis!!!!!!!
I upgraded from a 2015 Genesis to a 2018 Genesis G80, and let me just say it's almost like having an entirely different car. Sure they look the same in some aspects; however, the technology is improved, the car is quieter than the 2015 (both are 5.0 V8), and the transmission is a WHOLE improvement in itself. I intend to keep my 2018 Genesis G80 until further notice. I really don't like anything else out there.
I'm not very happy that the price of the top V8 version G90 jumped from $82,000 to $99,000, or the V6T version jumped from $78,000 to $88,000. The G80 is starting to look better.
Yea they are pretty crazy 😅 I’m curious to see the demand as well because I’m starting to see A LOT of G80s and GV80s on the road where I live. There’s a ton of wealthy people because I see them on the road in their fully loaded Yukons & Escalades. Wish they would consider something like this
Looks nice from the front to the back window. From there, I don't like the slope of the back, the way the bottom of the back end protrudes from the car, and the word Genesis spelled out on the back.
This has the look and feel of what they used to call an executive sedan. A car you might expect to see being chauffer driven for a Wall Street big shot or high-ranking government official. Not quite a limousine. But close.
pure luxury in a good looking big sedan for a fair price, the only think i don´t like is, that the car comes only with 1 engine, there are no other choices to buy for the rich customers. Thank you Kevin for the review.
Yea my friend as smooth as this V6 is, they could have kept the V8 around just for this last generation as well until they go full EV by 2025.. which we will have to see about
@@MeynMotorGroup yes Kevin, i mean this is the absolutely flagship of the company with all the luxury they can put in and on it and than it comes only with a 3.5 L V6 TT engine, maybe it´s enough for a few rich customers but if you are rich, you want to have prestige with a V8.
I was ready to jump all over the price of this thing but then I saw the satin finished wood and held up. Man that looks good. Not worth 100k, but that's some tasty style.
Genesis was once the value luxury brand. They were superbly comfortable, while not as sophisticated driving dynamics. I miss the days where you could get one for $30k.
Stunning car only let down by the steering wheel 'looks cheap' , Genesis really playing the German Marques at there own game, sadly won't see it here in the UK 🇬🇧🏴
I wish Lexus had gone this direction (interior space) with the LS and with their current interior design. Great work on Hyundai’s part to chase this segment.
Yea my friend I think the reason why we see so many G Wagons being driven by the wealthy is because there might be some special tax write off they get for buying a 6,000+ lb curb weight suv and I think that’s why the Tesla Model X is also popular amongst the wealthy but I could be wrong
Yea full size Rovers, GLS, X7, Escalade, Navigator would all be flagship SUV equivalents. GLS might be pretty good choice haven’t tried the latest. Porsche Cayenne is amazing but I think GLS might give you the more plush ride you’re looking for
Hey Kevin, I have a question. I've narrowed things down to the G80 3.5t max trim and the GV60 performance. Which one would you say is quieter at 80 mph? Is the Lexicon sound system in the G80 better than the B&O sound in the GV60? Which would you pick? I trust your opinion a lot, thanks!
Since I don't want to pay a chauffeur I'll stay in a 5 figure club with base trim and wait for inflation to blow us up to 7 figure with all the printing.
Love your channel. It’s interesting to me that they introduce a frequency to tone out the road noises. Personally, I feel like your subconscious brain picks up on these noises for safety reasons. Is complete quiet really safe? 😅
I have not tried the W223 S Class my friend, only the W222. This feels on par in some ways better than the W222 since that S Class I tested had 18” wheels and this has 21” wheels. I’m going to assume new S class is better than this but be prepared to pay 20-30k more for it

Hi, can you please answer this: Base G90 Bang and Olufsen - How does it sound compared to the upgraded Bang and Olufsen with the rising tweeters? Unfortunately I am not able to test drive the base model with the (13?) speaker B&O sound system, and I’m really curious to see if anyone can benchmark it against the upgraded 3D 26 speaker B&O. Also, how would it compare to the base no name systems of the lexus LS, A8, and 7 series? Thanks
Can't say, these manufacturers only send us fully loaded models so I never tried the base B&O this is a good system but I do think the ML and optional audio systems found in the Euro cars are better. I personally liked the Lexicon audio that Genesis used in the previous G90 but again, this is good and certainly above average.

I’m glad I could deliver my friend, tried to get it out as soon as I could 😅 man that is sad but I guess to be fair, these are not volume sellers even people who have the means will probably just get a G80 to conserve some coin. Yea def some little cons nothing made by man can ever be perfect right, but it’s a damn good job tho
@@MeynMotorGroup Absolutely buddy that's the truth there, at least we do get the G80 here.
Nice, they came out with an EV version too recently. I can’t believe this man I’m slowly becoming an EV freak now. It’s sad but it’s evident that car companies will not invest in some plug in hybrid solution for NA V8s or sports cars. Currently working on the 2022 NX450h plug in will go into details in that review
@@MeynMotorGroup EV's definitely have their place but I think they're pushing them too hard as they're not yet ready for all the applications asked of them, once the battery technology improves sure maybe but that's still years off yet.
Exactly correct that’s what bugs me how they shove it down our throats like we don’t have another choice or something. Plus like others have mentioned the Grid will probably collapse with everyone using high speed chargers 😅
I love the side-profile and rear-end of this car.
Great detailed overview and review Kevin. Thank you man.
Thank you my friend I really appreciate it!
Absolutely gorgeous.
Back to a good body that does not look like EVERY other car.
Looks amazing in white
Off topic but anyone notice at 1:50 the scar face filming location where the cvs now is, recognized that street immediately 😄
Nice calm review. So sad they dont sell long wheel base here. They will release GC (Coupe) or GT (Grande Tourer). It will be more amazing.
I’m excited for a Genesis Coupe a new proper one very curious to see what they fo
We really do love it, and more so as time goes on, life is good.
man, I'm always fascinated by Genesis brand. too bad their start was RWD. this one is such a character of its own. I like it very much I would get a certified
What's wrong with their starting platforms being RWD?
When is it being released?? How much - last year these cars were going for high 70k
Already on sale. 88k-100k
Great job with the review Kevin your descriptions of the ride gave me a real sense of the car!
I’m so glad it helped my friend, I was really hoping my elongated descriptions could help people understand the car better, I apologize it had to be so long 😅
@@MeynMotorGroup No need to apologize. Also your comparison to prior models years is very helpful, for the many car enthusiast out there who change cars frequently or test drive cars it is helpful to understand where a new model stands in comparison.
Excellent review .... detailed and exact .... subscribed
Thank you my friend I really appreciate your support!
Love your thorough reviews my man, you really go in depth with all the features that all other reviewers leave out. Glad I discovered your channel and hope I get some sleep because watching your reviews have taken hours away from my normal life and I’m glad about it lol.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I really appreciate you stopping by and showing support.. enough to loose sleep 😅 this work would be nothing without viewers like you. Cheers
Crazier OEM rims out there.
You’ve always done a superb job.
Thank you sir I’m humbled by that
_The second taillight is a bit much in my opinion but other than that, A1 car... i'm more and more impress by Genesis._
As a Lexus enthusiast I have to say ... this G90 is eating the LS 500's lunch!
You earned my sub on this review.
I’m humbled to have your support here Ghost Man!
Looking forward to depreciation so I can get one
No need to look forward anymore, 2017 G90 is ready for you.
I'm not very happy that the price of the top V8 version G90 jumped from $82,000 to $99,000, or the V6T version jumped from $78,000 to $88,000.
The G80 is starting to look better.
my dream car
Beautiful! I am not a fan of the wheels, however. That's really nitpicking. I'm excited to see what the demand will be.
Yea they are pretty crazy 😅 I’m curious to see the demand as well because I’m starting to see A LOT of G80s and GV80s on the road where I live. There’s a ton of wealthy people because I see them on the road in their fully loaded Yukons & Escalades. Wish they would consider something like this
I've seen the limo version of the Genesis while I've traveled through Korea several times and it's an excellent looking vehicle
That is awesome my friend
From the outside I,m very much impressed with the wheels, can't say much about the inside but the G90 Genesis have comes a long way.
Looks nice from the front to the back window. From there, I don't like the slope of the back, the way the bottom of the back end protrudes from the car, and the word Genesis spelled out on the back.
Good review, nice car!
Thanks!
Only $100K? I'll take TWO of them! = )
😅😂 facts
Great review - the car looks the part -
This has the look and feel of what they used to call an executive sedan.
My older one has Lexico sound. Excellent.
I was ready to jump all over the price of this thing but then I saw the satin finished wood and held up. Man that looks good. Not worth 100k, but that's some tasty style.
Yea they have certainly mastered the art of swagger still like 30k cheaper than an S class new one at least
Definitely agree with you it's not worth 100k it's so many German made vehicles you can buy for this price car is perfect just not the price
@@lamarmorgan9937 what would be a better german option at this price range ?
A 2022 750 Bmw for almost $20000 less and built more solid overall they have to be more aware of pricing
@@lamarmorgan9937 how is the luxury on that compared to this?
Great review! The chauffeur mode is meant to give the rear passengers the most comfortable experience, thus you cannot feel it in the driver seat.
The rims are great too.
Does the sunroof open or is just a glass roof?
Genesis was once the value luxury brand. They were superbly comfortable, while not as sophisticated driving dynamics. I miss the days where you could get one for $30k.
While driving this beautiful machine, did you hear any rattles? The car looks solid!
No my friend no rattles felt well put together but the car I tested only had 1700 miles on it. But Genesis does a good job with interior solidity
I know what you mean yea new LS 500 has a constricted amount of space and some even say there is more space in the front seats of the ES.
$100,000+ cars are rare, Gwagon is the most common pricey car in my area
Yea my friend I think the reason why we see so many G Wagons being driven by the wealthy is because there might be some special tax write off they get for buying a 6,000+ lb curb weight suv and I think that’s why the Tesla Model X is also popular amongst the wealthy but I could be wrong
Great review! What is the SUV equivalent for the same quiet and smooth 'magic carpet' ride? I'm thinking Range Rover, GLS or Escalade.
Hey my friend, I think G80 is quieter at speed and the Lexicon is also better than the B&O found in the GV60 hope this helps my friend
I see the modes are equivalent. My 4 year old gets best mileage in Smart or Individual.
they should do these upgrades to the hyundai elantra
Wireless android/Apple CarPlay on certain display models are in a dispute with Tomtom and until it’s resolved, wired it will be across manufacturers.
Hey I’m looking at a G80 5.0 ultimate. It’s has about 88k one owner do you think it’s a good buy? Dealer asking 24k. 27.7OTD price.
For 27k you're better off just buying a new CX-5 and negotiate 10% off MSRP
Good to know that the LWB is not available in North America. Too bad.
Since I don't want to pay a chauffeur I'll stay in a 5 figure club with base trim and wait for inflation to blow us up to 7 figure with all the printing.
😂
Love your channel. It’s interesting to me that they introduce a frequency to tone out the road noises. Personally, I feel like your subconscious brain picks up on these noises for safety reasons. Is complete quiet really safe? 😅
How does this compare to the new s class in term of NVH?
I have not tried the W223 S Class my friend, only the W222. This feels on par in some ways better than the W222 since that S Class I tested had 18” wheels and this has 21” wheels. I’m going to assume new S class is better than this but be prepared to pay 20-30k more for it
That would have been dope if Sega made this car. But honestly it’s handsome and the rims are totally amazing
Like Sega Dreamcast? Honestly a car made by a video game company would be nuts on the inside
@@MeynMotorGroup HAHA yeah! Love the Dreamcast! Sega like Sega Genesis. I bet there are scrapped plans for a SONY car back in the day, sort of like how they keep teasing an Apple car / full CarPlay integration. This 2023 Genesis is so nice it’s screaming for full ceramic 35% window tint
Oh yea that Sony car ain’t happening 😅 but I could see the interior having rgb lights all over the place and a massive flat screen in the rear for a video game centric car would be something to behold lol
Sega Genesis. Ah...I can hear the intro chime now "Saeeeeee-gahhhhhh". Lol
What a beautiful car. Exquisite
I hated these, until I rode in one. It was not a Hyundai, it was nice and well built! Most impressive!
Any thoughts about a comparison with thr LS or some other flagship sedan?
Doing a dedicated video on that should be out on Sunday morning

Love this Masterpiece! And I own a Benz.

Hi, can you please answer this:
Base G90 Bang and Olufsen - How does it sound compared to the upgraded Bang and Olufsen with the rising tweeters?
@@MeynMotorGroup thanks for your response. One more question please. How would you say the Mark Levinson system in the 2016 LS 460 L performs?
Does it have a wow factor? How does it stack up against the current offerings of luxobarges?
@@bl00dra1nn I think the newer MLs are better especially the LS500 it’s pretty top tier but you def gotta drive these cars to see if you will enjoy them also I’m def not an audiophile either so def should listen in person if you can!
Once Genesis makes an electric G90, the second row wouldn't have that tunnel anymore which will be interesting for a sedan of this size
Great review…..the G90 price keep out running my pocket.
Appreciate you my friend, yea they are ramping up the price on this but I gotta admit they earned it with this one
Beautiful
Up just a big honkin tad since I bought mine 4 years ago.
Still both 'smart' and 'individual' modes?
Those wheels ❤️
Yea my friend they look sweet
I see they went with the cheaper B&O speakers.
No these are the high B&O. Fords use the cheap B&O systems.

Genesis Makes Beautiful Car's, But I Have 3 Family Members That Have G80's And They've Had Computers Replaced, Electric Seat Motors Replaced, Faulty Break Caliper's Replaced Etc.
I Have A 1999 Lexus LS400 That Was Built In December Of 1998 And I Still Use It As A Daily driver And It Has Been Absolutely Flawless And Has Never Broke Down Or Has Left Me Stranded! In 23.5 Years, My Cost Of Ownership Has Been Minimal. The car Just Simply Runs!
Genesis' Quality Is Good, But Not At The Level Of A Lexus! We'll See How They Hold Up Over The Next f Years. Its A Beautiful Vehicle And Genesis Is On The Right Path. Time Will Tell How It Holds Up!
Yea my friend just recently I heard from a GV60 owner who commented on my video saying his seat had some sort of electrical issue. Fortunately the company is good about fixing this stuff. We’ll see what happens in the future
I've owned 3 Hyundai & 2 Genesis vehicles never an issue except the one issue that I caused..
The ultimate used car purchase, its going to depreciate like a stone and there's no way I'd pay 100k for a Hyundai.
By then everyone will be saying the same thing about the newest one at that time and nobody will ever buy anything used.. because you can get the old G90 & Equus right now but nobody’s putting their money where their mouth is. Instead, LEASE the new one
What if you got it for 99k? I’m a badge snob too believe me, but if you compared the features side by side you’d get everything plus more with this car, I bet it’s so relaxing to drive it or vice Versa
😂 actually now that Genesis is getting some good press & respect, I can totally see some of these Genesis dealers that probably forgot where they came from and would charge $200k for an in-stock G90
