Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video. Always the best information an detailed application.
Glad it was helpful!
Another great video. The jersey set up in the back is sick.
Appreciate it!
Thanks for the information!
Hey thanks for all the tips
Ok! Look at those colored lights!
Yeah, the large umbrella is alot quicker to setup than an octabox. It used to take me an hour to setup with large octabox, two large rectangular softboxes with grids as well as the backrop. I replaced the octabox and looking at replacing my edge softboxes with strip boxes. Looks like I'm headed in the right direction. Thanks for sharing!!!
Thanks, Eugene! Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks, great video!
Thank you, Sir!
Hey James, I love your videos. Best photography videos on the internet in my opinion. Was wondering if one day you’d be up for making a video showing how you set your power levels on all of you lights for a shoot. Fill light, key light, rim lights and so on. How do you determine their power levels and why! Keep up the excellent work and thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.
Thanks Matt! I usually share all that info and more detailed walkthroughs over on my Patreon.
@@QuantzPhoto perfect! I’ll check that out for sure! Thank you
I totally agree, the best tutorials I have seen in years,
Cody Zeller's six eleven!!! Lol
Very nice :)
I would have liked to know what kind of strobe action you use with the strip box do you use continuous lighting or flash.
Hey James, thanks for the video!
One question: if you're using your three-umbrella setup, the umbrella behind you is your main light, right? What power ratios do your fill lights have compared to your master?
I hope you can understand my question;) in Germany we don't speak english that often;)
Fully understood - no it’s still a full depending on setup of course. Ratios completely depend on the look I’m wanting.
Makes me wanna loot B&H
Hi James what would u recommend between the white and silver westcott 7’ umbrellas ?
Hey Ali, it depends on what you're photographing and what kind of light you want to cast. The white umbrella will be softer and the silver will be a bit harsher. I use the silver for athletes when I want that "hard" light.
Thanks James Quantz Jr, yes I forgot to mention athletes... i understand that the purpose are very different but if I had to chose between a stripbox and one of these umbrellas (mainly due to limitations on equipment I can carry) would the umbrella be able to replace the stripbox? I would use the strip boxes mainly for providing a highlight.
