- this was a fun challenge to do for myself... Shoutout to school for being closed this week. I prolly shouldve done this when the 1855 days thing was trending on Tiktok

the reason he spent 5 years not doing music is because when you make art ( timeless art at that ) , you have to experience . you dont want to make the same things twice. he needed a journey and those 5 years was it.

Yeah I totally agree and I’m totally ok with Kendrick putting out an album every 5 years, the anticipation alone is worth because you know it’s going to be fire. I say props to him for not just putting out ish that is subpar just because a record company wants you to or for just monetary gain. I feel like a lot of artists do this and that’s why they fall off just making hella mid music
lets be honest, the reason why a lot of artists take a while to drop is that they need inspo and to live their lives in order to get topics and shit to rap about.

this album made me realize there is no savior or king of hip-hop. all just people with something interesting to say. that's why music is one of the best ways to invite others into ur perspective on the world

Man I must have some abandonment issues because I read the title "Why did Kendrick Lamar abandon Me for 5 years?" Funny thing was he went from my favourite to one of the greats since then around 2017-2018.
I mean ngl he basically abandoned all of us
I think a lot of us felt that way. GKMC and Section 80 constantly are playing and his new album was such a good release.
Kendrick is a much needed freshly crafted pillar in hiphop. He has a mystique that rap fans look to in the way a legend keeps you thinking beyond your scope. There's reasons why he is so respected by his peers and his fans alike. The man is gonna go down in history as one of the greatest rappers of all time, and his sound defines a generation and will inspire many to come.
Definitely love the break down of each album, there’s a lot that I didn’t know when it comes to his story and the amount of pressure that he’s under

I think Kendrick deserves his criticism where its due but for the purposes of this video there's nothing rly to criticize (but then again I'm not the most critical person either)

it took a bunch of trial and error but essentially you can get away with about 5 seconds of audio being played I think 6 at most but it deadass takes time to figure out and sometimes i have to edit several versions of a video

@@2mn2nl i record on my phone... its a regular phone not even an iPhone but I use an app called power director to record the audio itself.
As for editing i use premiere pro which is an Adobe product so it is expensive but there's stuff out there thats just as good at less expense
