Rockcroc2000 does any Nord or imperial actually treat you specifically badly? I've never played as anything other than the human races (I know, boring) so I don't even know if anybody even cares what race you are. If they did it would kind of break the game. for example, khajiit aren't allowed inside most cities, because they're all stereotyped as thieves. If they didn't let you in because you were a khajjit you couldn't play most of the main quests.
There's no evidence for it having to do anything with marriage. It's just something that probably started on a joke website that people took way out of hand. The arrow to the knee thing most likely refers to the fact that there's no leg armor in Skyrim, unlike the previous games.

depends on what type of fighting you like to do . If you like ranged fighting then Vampire Lord is the way to go . If not then go with the werewolves . Also Vampire Lords were added after the game was finished as an extra , so they won't be able to move around to various places as well as the werewolves who were in the game from the beginning .
They really ruined the vampires in Skyrim so I agree even though Vampire Lord is different. I don't like either one tbh but if I had to choose I would always choose Werewolf over Vampire.
I prefer the vampires of Skyrim to the ones in oblivion(if you were refering to them), the oblivion vampire abillities were weak and the sun damage was a nusance.
Wiz is Fluffy Well that beats the point of them being Vampires. We have had vampires in elder scrolls for a long time now with powers and abilities and they never could go out in the sun like that. It's ridiculous. I was just referring to them in general elder scrolls but it is what it is. I just hope in TES 6 they fix it but I doubt they will so LOL it works out in the end because I almost never do a vampire character but I just like the lore and abilities items magic etc to try to be consistent but it's ok in the end.
HamanKarn567 I personally liked the Vampire Lord better, if you feed then you are not hated by villagers, but with werewolf they hate you automatically. Plus, the sun damage doesn't affect you if you have Auriel's bow, I keep atleast 20 sun arrows and 30 harkened arrows (have Serana with so any elven arrows i get turn) and just shoot the sun all the time. ETERNAL DARKNESS!

It's my personal headcanon that in the land of Skyrim, taking an arrow to the knee is speaking ill of their homemaking Spouses. Maybe he got married, and his wife demanded that he no longer risk his life the way he had. Just look at Amren. His wife refused to let him retrieve the family sword from a bandit camp or whatever. From his perspective, perhaps he was shot in the knee. So you're right in that it's not real-world Nordic slang, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have a similar meaning in Skyrim.

Without the proper medical treatment, an arrow to the knee would completely cripple a mans ability to fight or travel long distances. Imagine having your kneecaps shattered into pieces, and with no medical technology to repair the damage, your only option would be for the bone fragments to be removed completely, and without any pain killers or anesthesia. You would have to live without a kneecap.

I always use a Thu'um when the guards give me that shit, mostly just blast Unrelenting Force into the sky, sometimes Ethereal or Kyne's Peace.

Guards are idiots. I was fighting a fucking dragon and using shouts and the damn guard got directly in front of me trying to range the dragon with arrows. Naturally I accidentally shouted at the guard since he was in front of me. Because of his idiocracy I had to pay a 1000 coin bounty for attacking a guard. I saved your life dumbfuck!! I could of let the damn dragon kill you and looted your corpse...

Rockcroc2000 does any Nord or imperial actually treat you specifically badly? I've never played as anything other than the human races (I know, boring) so I don't even know if anybody even cares what race you are.
If they did it would kind of break the game. for example, khajiit aren't allowed inside most cities, because they're all stereotyped as thieves. If they didn't let you in because you were a khajjit you couldn't play most of the main quests.

Werewolf is better than Vampire Lord
depends on what type of fighting you like to do . If you like ranged fighting then Vampire Lord is the way to go . If not then go with the werewolves . Also Vampire Lords were added after the game was finished as an extra , so they won't be able to move around to various places as well as the werewolves who were in the game from the beginning .
They really ruined the vampires in Skyrim so I agree even though Vampire Lord is different. I don't like either one tbh but if I had to choose I would always choose Werewolf over Vampire.
I prefer the vampires of Skyrim to the ones in oblivion(if you were refering to them), the oblivion vampire abillities were weak and the sun damage was a nusance.
Wiz is Fluffy Well that beats the point of them being Vampires. We have had vampires in elder scrolls for a long time now with powers and abilities and they never could go out in the sun like that. It's ridiculous. I was just referring to them in general elder scrolls but it is what it is. I just hope in TES 6 they fix it but I doubt they will so LOL it works out in the end because I almost never do a vampire character but I just like the lore and abilities items magic etc to try to be consistent but it's ok in the end.

I personally liked the Vampire Lord better, if you feed then you are not hated by villagers, but with werewolf they hate you automatically. Plus, the sun damage doesn't affect you if you have Auriel's bow, I keep atleast 20 sun arrows and 30 harkened arrows (have Serana with so any elven arrows i get turn) and just shoot the sun all the time. ETERNAL DARKNESS!

Well, since Viking women were held in high regard for their duties as homemakers, it's unlikely that they would view marriage as a crippling wound.
It's my personal headcanon that in the land of Skyrim, taking an arrow to the knee is speaking ill of their homemaking Spouses. Maybe he got married, and his wife demanded that he no longer risk his life the way he had.
Just look at Amren. His wife refused to let him retrieve the family sword from a bandit camp or whatever. From his perspective, perhaps he was shot in the knee.

Without the proper medical treatment, an arrow to the knee would completely cripple a mans ability to fight or travel long distances.
Imagine having your kneecaps shattered into pieces, and with no medical technology to repair the damage, your only option would be for the bone fragments to be removed completely, and without any pain killers or anesthesia.
You would have to live without a kneecap.
