These things were made in the glory days of trucking. Back when trucks could be had with not just I6, but 2 and 4 stroke V8s and V12 engines, and none of them had automatic transmissions, or looked like spaceships. Nothing new gets me going at all. You gotta get this one back on the road.

Now that she rolls over... that's a large relief. That engine compartment is going to need alot of love...but you're the man to do it.

I worked for a Company in Scranton Pa. One Summer, I parked my tractor because I got burnt out from the road so! I decided to take a daily job and get back to health So, I drove a Ch Mack for a Company hauling stone one day pulling a hill the Turbo went!! Well I called the Boss man! He brang brang down a new Turbo? and Gasket. They replaced it, I mentioned it to them they should take the tubing and intercooler off and clean up and flush it? They told me you just drive the truck mister Trailer Truck driver. Well they Rolled the Dice put on the new Turbo there young Mechanic that was autistic he was standing on the fuel tank turned it over! I was standing right by the fuel tank when it fired up full throttle, when all of a Sudden that Mack E427. Screamed to life and oil started shooting 30 feet out of the stack,s for about 30 Second,s till it run dry and then we all ran we told the autistic Mechanic shut it off he turned the key off and was holding it in his hand! We We're yelling to him pull the red knob engine stop out. By then a big explosion. I ain't never in my 45 years of driving truck seen a Engine throw internal parts thru the oil pan and split the engine block in half. That whole summer that truck was down it literally ruined everything in the engine was destroyed even busted the bell housing and ruined the countershaft in the transmission! and this ain't no Bullshit Story.

On Thursday TwinStick Garage posted a great video on the new hubs and brakes from ConMet. He is fitting them to his Smokey and the Bandit tribute truck the 1979 Kenworth conventional. It is a terrific tutorial on the latest in hub technology and also how air brakes work. Educational for sure. He is out of Ardrossen Alberta Canada which is a short run east of Edmonton. You might want to consider an upgrade to the best technology available today.

Dude, when that CAT lite off and sat there PURRING smooth as silk, I got goosebumps! Another rare gem and that shift knob. Creativity went out the door when the 80's ended. Start of plastic garbage with NO class began to kill the era of awesome trucks. Check out the low D.O.T #. Set of 8in straight pipes would sound great on that v8 as well the v12.
