I have a '68 Pete with a KTA600 Cummins aluminum frame single sleeper 13 speed with a 4 speed brownie box. last time it ran was in late '80s and parked in a shed....what do you think it's worth ?
@@russvoight1167 Tomato, tomahto, if it had both, the designation might matter. My quad axle dump has two pushers and the switches just say fr. axle lift or rear axle lift.
As for the air in the oil system, seems like you've got a crack in the pickup tube or the gasket between the tube and the oil pump is bad and it's sucking air and mixing with the oil. My two cents.
@@Ol2StrokerI was thinking 🤔 the same thing Wayne-O. This is a nice addition to your collection, no doubt. You’ll get it dialed in. Looking 👀 forward to your next video sir!
Or the check valves in luberfiner check valves are letting oil drain in pan & when you start engine 2.5 gallons fill the luberfiner up & now the oil pan is 2.5 gallons low 😂
This truck looks cool, with the long hood, short sleeper, axles starting right behind the sleeper. About as compact as it could be, really nice look for a heavy haul truck.
LMAO, you are definitely fired up and I don't blame you brother... Love the editing to your video's lately, more better for guys like me that are HDHD lol. That is one hell of a truck! There was for sure smoke coming out of the left side when you first started it up but it stopped shortly after.
Great video Wayne really enjoyed watching you get the classic Peterbilt 12V71 started. Looking forward to your next video on this truck. Thanks for sharing stay safe Wayne.
Maybe that right bank has a fuel delivery problem? It's been years, but doesn't the fuel pump T off to each bank and go into each cylinder head. Then return to the tank? Could there be some varnish or sludge blocking fuel going into the injectors? Engine running, crack a jumper line closest to the pump, and then the transmission side and see if they have fuel gush out. If it just dribbles out, then it's plugged.
All in all Wayne she's way better than it could have been for sure. Can't wait to see the reason for the entire bank not firing, that's downright bizarre! Looking forward to whatever surprises you were alluding to at the end. Happy Detroit 2-Stroke New Year buddy!
Great job Wayno. I agree with taking off the passenger exhaust, to see if she’s plugged. That should fire that side off. Letting it exhaust out. But she is a treat. I enjoy what you do. And that could possibly be your oil aeration issue.
What a beast. Love it, Wayne-o. And I think I asked you casually like a year ago about your phone, never getting left alone, etc. and you said "dude, it NEVER ENDS!" Haha. Keep it up brother - love the channel. Wes Pittsburgh

Enjoyed the video. Almost nobody works on the old 2 strokes anymore. I have worked a ta 6v92 sence 1989 still one of the best engines ever made. Thanks look forward to your next video.
Way back in the early 1980s, back when i would go trucking with my dad in his White/Freightliner cab over, I woukd sit in the passenger seat watching all the conventional Peterbilt, KWs, and classic Freightliners in the highway with us. A young little boy daydreaming and planning that one day i would have one of them for my own and do exactly what my daddy did. In 1997 i got my CDL and started my career in trucking. Now here i sit in January of 2025 in the sleeper cab of a company truck never having owned my own truck. 27 years working hard and it's never came to fruition. 😢 It was all just a dream.

Crack open a couple injector supply lines on the dead side when you have it running, see if you have pressure and volume. Seems like a lack of fuel flow to that bank. I am doubting there is an exhaust restriction, engine would likely sound restricted and you'd have some smoke finding the leaks in the flex tube connections.
