    Ive been looking at a 1990 GTS on market place and the seller says it needs piston rings. Is the process fairly simple on these cars or is it too much work to be worth it. He is asking $2,500 for it

    Hey what do you think is a better buy, an SR5 or AE92 like the one you have here.
    What do you think would last and be moré easier to maintain?

    • @Tuned4Speed
      @Tuned4Speed  2 года назад +1

      Both are easy to work on, it’s just a matter of which one you’d like, both are great cars, the Gts is just faster, sportier and but sometimes more abused and rusted sometimes, I recommend getting a Gts but if you can find a better deal on an sr5 definitely go for it, I used to have 3 sr5’s

    I have an 1991 ae92 non gts, manual 1.6 liter but it has a carburetor. so now im confused, is it a 4af or a 4afe? or was ther another version of the ae92 bsides the sr5 and gts

      and I can confirm rust is a mayor problem, I live like 5 blocks away from the sea and it really is a pain in the ass.

    • @Tuned4Speed
      @Tuned4Speed  Год назад

      If it has an oem carb, then its a 4afe, which is weird cause they only made the 4af in 1988 and 89
      The 4afe was in 1990 and 1991

    Hey! How hard is it to rebuild these cars? Mostly worried about finding parts

    • @Tuned4Speed
      @Tuned4Speed  11 месяцев назад

      Most of these parts can be found on rockauto! Only parts that are verrrryy hard to find are body panels, and interior but most mechanical parts are on rockauto or ebay and or amazon

    • @Tuned4Speed
      @Tuned4Speed  2 года назад +1

      It’s fwd, if it’s a Gts it’s a 1.6 4AGE
      If it’s an sr5 it’ll have the 4af if it’s 1988 or 1989 and if it’s 90 or 91 it’ll have a 4afe

    O shttt didnt know the facelift got bigger rotors!

    • @Tuned4Speed
      @Tuned4Speed  2 года назад

      Yeah! I didn't know either till I comparing them when I was swapping out wheel hubs! All the way up to 1995! After 1996 they're the same as well but after 1996 they have abs sensors so it's slightly different
