God I loved Ida. As a mother, she’s epic. A rock for her family, with a heart of gold. The kind of mom you miss when she’s gone.

This is 1978 I believe, if you go back and look at 1970's MTM season 1 first apperance of Ida, she looks much older in the 1970 version. She looks great this episode!

5:30 this guy was on tons of TV shows. I have never known his name somehow or other but he was always very good in everything he played. He did a really touching "Matlock" episode some years later that sticks in my mind.

me me Rhoda was such a style icon that people pay more attention to the way she looks - actually wait to see what she's going to wear next.
Her looks and style played a supporting role to her character, so it is more noticeable. Also, this is a vintage show, so we tend to notice everyone's wardrobe and hairsyles

I remember the tight perm style in late 70s early 80s. I remember getting one a few days before the first day of 10th grade. It turned out horrible but it was the style back then, Like the perm Barbara Streisand had in A Star is born.
I'm trying to understand what happened to Rhoda's wardrobe in this last season. She always dressed so boho classy feminine and this season she's just frumpy. I'm wondering if she was trying to go more women's lib less feminine more masculine look. It was the trend at the time. Me personally I've always worn boho feminine then and now, it's my comfort.
the styles were were completely changed Brenda looked good with her weight lost and dressed better in later seasons

Rhoda and Joe divorced way back in the 3rd season and Ida and her husband separated in the 1st episode on season 5

It looks bigger because most of the plants are gone.
I keep having to skip episodes. And taking breaks. Can’t take it anymore. Just keeps getting more annoying. Sorry Rhoda/ Valerie . Still love you. Rest in love❤
