Just like fine wine this show got better and better with age; this episode was so memorable and extremely well written and acted...Rip to those cast members that have passed on... Thank you for sharing this show.
I really liked the moment when Bentley told Louise that maybe she didn't understand what George did. He may have needed help organizing his thoughts, but everything he said in the song came from him.
I disagree. This was when couples were a team that worked together. She was a maid until he made it big. She was with him when he didn't have anything.
Which is why I gave up television in 2013. I miss the great years of TV growing up in the 70's, 80's and 90's...fun memories and with my dear late parents.🥰❤
I agree with Louise a woman needs to be shown that she is loved and cherished and treasured just like the wife needs to be shown to her husband that he's treating everything but some people don't repeat or mean what their vowels say
This show is still great. Can watch it over and over. Sherman has a good voice. Am I the only one who loves the outtro song as much as the intro to the series. We are taken to church by Janet Dubose moaning. I always wondering where that still shot of that pond or river was during the ending shot of the episodes.
A rich woman married for 30 years, that mink doesn’t mean as much as a poem from the heart, you can read over, and over again, and if your person passes, you have their words specifically for you forever
And when you love something or someone really when you Love someone like in a marriage you cherish them you you show that love and respect but this damn time some people do and then their son that just don't give a care
Louise was being a jerk after the song…. She has to know he can’t play the piano and didn’t know how to organize the song… he did what anyone in his predicament would do.
I’m sure that it was hard for George to swallow his pride and ask for help but he did it and she was being jerk but in the end, she realized that George really loved her very much!
Louise was being a soiled brat in this episode. How did she get the money to purchase the silk pajamas? The Help Center doesn't pay her, she works there for free. So, the money had to come from George.
@@AscendedMaster274 WTH does that have to do with any-damn-thing? She still didn’t purchase the silk pajamas with her own money. George has been damn good to her, which more than pays for anything Louise did to help George get to where he was.
I agree bout the brat part. ANY woman would’ve been very moved that a man took the effort to do that. U have many men out there that don’t do anything for their woman. George had his ways, but it was always for the good of his family. He never meant harm.
@@AscendedMaster274Exactly, many ppl don't understand sitcoms of those times as they followed more so the Biblical aspect of certain things concerning family, discipline etc whereas now society is more lost so ppl view these things as wrong wen it was actually the right way....like today many ppl would say Archie Bunker was toxic masculinity yet he was a real man that supported his family and was always right about how he saw people lol
I find it hypocritical of Wheezy to get mad at George for wanting to spend money on her Valentines day gift when she bought him pajamas as her gift to him. I mean what does that say really. George never picked up on this but still. It's like I want you to do more for me on Valentines day then just buy me something but that's all I am going to do for you. Then her getting mad that he bought her a song, I don't see the difference between buying a song and buying pajamas. Besides Valentines day is just a store manufactured holiday after the holidays to start racking in the cash again it has nothing to do with love. If you think that one day and some chocolates and candy roses is how you express your love instead of working on your relationship every day than you don't have anything to celebrate if you ask me. Still she got way to upset in this episode if you ask me at George.
If a poem means so much to you Wheezy why didn't you write one to George? Hmm? How come you bought him a pair of Lame Silk Pajamas? That's the same as him buying you another mink coat. How is it she doesn't get it? Stuck up or what? Really don't like her in this episode have to say. Totally on Georges side.
The Jeffersons-ONE OF THE GREATEST SITCOMS OF ALL TIME!!!

@@aedwards7045And All in the Family.

The 70's in general had the best shows, I wasn't around yet, but I love watching them more than any.

Hard to believe that Isabel Sanford would be almost 107 years old now.
The 1970s & 80s were such great times to be alive & old enough to enjoy TV 📺
Also the best music ever!!
The beauty is I was able to watch w my grandparents. 10 minutes from Hollywood 😅
not biased like snl is now, snl used to be funny, before they became a voice for the democrats
I love Harry Bently. He is so kind, caring, and funny.❤😂
FUN FACT!!! Sherman Hemsley was in the Broadway musical "Purlie" with Melba Moore & Robert Gulliume.
yeah and Helen Martin aka Pearl Shay from 227 was in it too.
Purlie was the first play I saw on cable. It was call Home box back then in the 80’s.
That's where Norman Lear saw him and offered him the role.
Yes, his character was named Gitchamo; Great play❤
This is so enjoyable, unlike any of the series now days thank you for sharing those memorable moments
Agreed!!!
They just don't make sitcoms like the Jefferson anymore. Love 💕 The Jefferson's
“At least she won’t bite youuuu”. 😂😂😂😂. I died.

This was one of the first TV shows I ever saw. The theme song is one of my workout songs!
Love this show growing up. Still do ! ❤️
Why don’t we keep the pajamas and send Mr. Jefferson back? Love Florence
Jefferson made me cry and Bentley was amazing as was the bartender. Wonderful sitcom.
I’m not crying you are…. When he sang 😭
"...and I George Jefferson I'm going to sing song..."
Everyone left the bar😂😂😂
I love the old cigarette machine in the bar and the bartender drinking with the patrons! I miss the 70s and 80s!
One of Thee Best Sh9w ever on TV. Love it more and more everyday. Finding it more and more funny now than before 😂😂😂😂
Great memories from when I was a kid and enjoying this funny show with my dear late parents🥰❤
Yesssss who still watching ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
i miss this show, today everything is about politics, mainly democrats hating on peoples freedom of choice
Excellent performance always
Corrupt hollywierd won't make great shows like this anymore

Everybody on The Jeffersons, except Marla Gibbs have passed, as far as I am aware of. 😭😥😢
Mr. Bentley was the best!!! Lol. 😊

Love watching him but head was pretty mean but funny
George’s gift might have been better if he would have actually went out and bought Weezy something instead of throwing cash at her
That was the whole point.
Weezy is so eeezy

I’m sure that it was hard for George to swallow his pride and ask for help but he did it and she was being jerk but in the end, she realized that George really loved her very much!
It would have been just as easy to have admitted he had help instead of lying that he wrote it himself
Because to her, he had lied about writing it himself. Bentley explained to her that he may have needed help, but the thoughts came from him.
The lie was the sticking point.
weezy done nothing but scream and yell at george. who would stay with a woman like that! the writers of this show was filthy!
