IF YOU DONT GET THE RADIATOR PROTECTORS WHAT IS THE COST TO REPLACE ALL THREE GRILLS. THE SIDE GRILLS SIDE OF CAR WOULDNT NEED A GRILLE BECAUSE IT ISNT LOW AND UP FRONT. WOW WHAT A JOB TO DO.🤢🤮...THE FACTORY SHOULD HAVE ALREADY INSTALLED THESE ITEMS INCLUDED WITH HIGH PRICE 🤑OF THIS CORVETTE OR AT LEAST OFFER GRILL PROTECTION AS OPTIONS ALREADY INSTALLED FROM FACTORY.
Great video. It's no need to jack up the car. You can do this easily on the ground. I just added mines last week.

Thx. I wasn’t aware of these potential problems. The radiator covers are great since I was concerned that the factory grills allow a bird get sucked up in there. Yea like a jet intake killing a bunch of birds. That’s all we need some aviary conservation starting to complain about our C8s. The shock tower situation is a actually pretty serious. If not for the first owner definitely for future owners and repair shops.Yipes! Once again thank you 😊

Chief Corvette engineer said not to use the grill covers, as they reduce cooling, and if the DCT has issues as a result, GM might not cover it under warranty.

@@RWDC8Z Now having said that, GM does offer them now in the Accessories catalogue, but they are not recommended for track use, etc...
I did talk to my local dealer's Corvette tech this week, and he said to go ahead and install them if I am not tracking it... He said the front ones that are prone to damage, and protecting them with a mesh screen that isn't too small, would be fine.
Good video. Maybe add some lighting to improve the quality. Some of the scenes were too dark to see any detail.

These are the first mods I did for the grills last July. The passenger side grill was easy as hell but to this date I still have yet to get the drivers side in. I’m not so concerned with that one since there is a OE grill tucked in way back up in there. I did make templates of all the grills just in case and I may make one for the drivers side that’s a little more pliable. The strut tower covers I did that mod back in December. I saw where you had some water in yours in a previous video and meant to tell you about the covers but it slipped me.

There is zero difference in engine temps
According to GM the radiator grill is not necessary. I just checked for water in the towers and they where dry as a bone. Bing bang boom done.
Hockey puck with an eye bolt is a cheaper option for jacking pucks. Even cheaper when the puck is a promo puck from a fireworks store. :)

The other section you are looking at is actually speaking to legalese of warranties of material. We actually warranty all products from material defects. I had a great experience with the product. I think it’s just legal stuff they have to do. At the end of the day it’s nothing mechanical. It’s just an ABS plastic screen. So not much to warranty to be honest. Thanks for watching!

The grilles look great. My concern would be -- how much does it disrupt the airflow. I have some pre-fab front mounted grilles. Having an aviatiion background when I first held them and looked at them I could tell there was some engineering that went into them. At high speeds I can't help but feel the ones you've mounted are going to create a fair amount of turbulence.

What have you been running into that mangled your front ?
I see a lot of RUclipsrs filming like this now. Constant moving and jumpy segments. There must be some analytic that says this works or is beneficial. Especially for those with ADHD or what ever.
Does the back ones need ziptide ? Also? Or just the front ones?
