I got my 2024 yesterday. I love, love, love my new car. But.., this new car will have a very steep learning curve. It's too bad Chevrolet didn't have an online C8 course and test feature on the My Chevrolet page.
Great video most people who are watching your channel is in the long process of getting or thinking about getting a C8 therefore this information is like watching someone showing what the manual says keep up the great information

Great synopsis. Alot of folks forget that only Z Mode gives you access to the Powertrain setting to configure. See 9:14 mark. My Mode does NOT give this option and in My Mode, you're always in Tour powertrain setting. Just a quick FYI.

I want this gauge cluster in a c5 any one know if it’s possible
been following you on your channel did throttle body and controller that is bad ass changed the car. Had spacer before you had to cut studs i have after market wheels forgiatos they are not as deep as the factory wheels. The next mod you need is in the rear truck it is a heat mat it will cut the temp down in rear truck at least 30 degrees get temp gage drive you car and check it it will be at 90 degrees or better put in mat about 69 to 63

Yup, just tap the M button and it’ll stay in manual mode and won’t go into 4 cyl mode. But you have to shift all the time.
Or Z mode will keep it from switching to 4 cylinders.
How can you change the default HUD and make it the default for My MODE? I manage to do it but it made this particular HUD view the default for all MY MODE, Tour...

Hi, I have a question that has nothing to do with this video, I finally have my 2021 C8, when I get to 500 miles do I have to go to the dealer for an oil change or is it not mandatory?
You need an oil change after break in. There will be debris (fine metal particles and such) in the oil from the piston rings, bearings, and other friction parts breaking in. That’s also why it’s important to not overdo it on the throttle during this period.
Your first required oil changes at 7500 miles I will do mine at about six thousand just to be safe and the first change is free
I did my first one around 6k-7k miles along with the trans filter and 2 extra qt if DCT fluid
Tilting the HUD seems to be a setting for drivers who sit static in their cars during driving on cambered, roads/tracks. For example of stock cars and road cars have tilted gauges because some of the drivers remain static instead of tilting their heads, on bankings specifically.
I am one of those static idiots 😂😂
Just curious...you have your tire psi's at 32 fronts and 34 backs...is there a significance as to why you have the backs higher psi than the fronts? Wondering if you have found a secret performance advantage for having the backs higher than the fronts...I could get really wordy here but I will leave it at that!

My display is dimmed way down - I set it to Day and it is still dimmed way way down. Both the big screen and the instrument display as well.
Usually there is a little stalk in the display you simply turn up to increase the brightness but I don’t see one anywhere on this c8. What is the secret to increasing the display brightness?
There is a dial on the left side of steering wheel under the HUD controls
Just wondering why the Check Engine light is on? I'd be noticing that.
Exhaust System before the simulators came out
Rotating the HUD is because of polarized sunglasses. Slight rotation and much brighter display.

need to put you npp valves back on just plug those back in go to paragone performance install exhaust it will show you how to zip tie the valve to you wire harness
the amf valves are causing you check engine light where ypu go fron 4 cylinder to 8 cylinder not the npp valves you can get exhaust valve module at cicio performance it just plugs in that will take care of cel had to do it my self

I think the auto shut off is so you don’t park your car in the garage and go to bed, killing your family from the carbon monoxide. Some of the push to start cars are so quite that this has happened all too frequently. Mostly by older folks but I guess it could also happen to the stupid or alcohol induced dummies too.

Ehh...the more likely answer is that it is exactly for situations like this. When you leave your car with the key while it's still on it will honk at you. So there is already at least one system in place to tell you to turn the car off. But if someone wants to just sit in the car for a 30 minute lunch break, or take a nap, or wait for family, etc...and instead of accessory mode they have the car on unnecessarily... IATs will continue to go through the roof and that is not good for the engine. So I think it's more for the people that want to STAY INSIDE their cars for long periods of time, stationary and idling...

“With nearly every automaker under the sun now offering active safety and advanced driver features, there are a few more common sense features that get left out of the spotlight. GM Extended Parking is one good example of that.
Born out of necessity in the age of the keyless electronic ignition, this General Motors safety feature will automatically shut off a vehicle’s engine after a certain amount of time while the vehicle is parked, reducing emissions and preventing potential carbon monoxide poisoning in the process.
Interestingly, the purpose of this feature was never explicitly stated by GM, but its purpose remains clear all the same. The risks of a keyless ignition include accidentally leaving the engine running in an enclosed space, which could lead to carbon monoxide poisoning, not to mention unintentionally burning through a tank of gas, though that’s a much smaller risk than the former. The GM Extended Parking feature helps to alleviate those issues.
The GM Extended Parking feature automatically shuts off the engine when the vehicle is parked for 20 minutes without the key fob present, or after an hour when the key fob is present.
GM Extended Parking was first made available in 2013 on select 2014 model year GM vehicles. As of this writing, the feature is standard on 2019 model year and newer Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac models with keyless ignition, also known as push-button start.
Some manufacturers are moving towards the implementation of their own systems similar to the GM Extended Park feature, but regulation on the issue is still murky, as it’s difficult to determine a specific standard time period to switch off the engine.
What’s more, the implementation of a system standard comes with its own unique risks. For example, some drivers will leave pets in the car with the A/C running on a hot day while attending to some errands (something we don’t recommend doing), while other drivers will leave the engine running while they sleep to keep the climate control active.
Nevertheless, current model year GM vehicles will now shut off after a certain period of time when left in park with the engine on. GM’s cross-town rival, Ford, also implemented its own safety feature similar to GM Extended Parking in 2013, while Toyota has announced that 2020 model year vehicles will feature automatic engine shutoff as well.
All told, we think this is a safety feature that makes a lot of sense, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see some kind of industry-wide standardization in the next few years - regardless if those drivers are catching a few z’s in the parking lot.
