Only the r35 has a v6 all the others are a straight 6....
R32 feels raw, small and connected to the road like no other GTR, the true Godzilla 😎
Yep. R35GT-R also the 2010s Godzilla.
@@purwantiallan5089 No, it's not.
Mat(Carwow) makes a video that will be ultimate BMW M Competition group test
The R33 wasn't the first to have a GT-R badge in the grille. The Hakosuka had one! Great video, Matt.
I love how Mat was "taking it easy" by redlining all the cars. 😅
that does nothing in terms of damage. It's the lack of dropping the clutch that protected the earlier cars.
I am pretty sure that the older gens could have done better with a decent launch.
My R33 GTR Vspec in virtually standard tune did a 12.99 at Santa Pod. You really have to launch these cars hard, like at 7000 rpm to get a decent launch or they bog down hard.
Much better there has been r32 gtr with the boost restrictor removed doing 12 sec 1/4 mile times
@@alangordon2511 you not doing 12 sec with a stock r32 thats for sure. Its basically a r35 time. You need at least 450hp or even more to do that.
@@samuelalcena4526 one of my friends has done it with his car all it had was a aftermarket exhaust and running 1 bar of boost restrictor removed did a 12 sec 1/4 mile
It's fairly common for them to run 12 secs have a look at the gtroc forum etc there even a r33 gtr running standard turbos that has done 11 secs
ruclips.net/video/aLl1OGOzZro/видео.html
@@alangordon2511 yeah in the video he got a very great start. I got a r33, never used on drag but is seen people always missing their first gear so the car was not doing this time.
I seriously dont care which one is faster or more comfortable I would still rather the r33
The right opinion
Driver mod required for those 0-60s
Really annoying that they couldn't properly launch the older cars :(
This Was Definitely An Amazing Day For Matt 😂 He Got To Drive Every GTR 😭❤
I definitely think that a 7 or 8spd dct would really help the r35 a lot
Probably the r35, my dream car for gods sake!
You probably a 12 year old no cap🧢
R32 was and always will be the real Godzilla. What a beautiful machine
The R35 was 10 years ahead of its competition. Look at its modern competitors, most of them have AWD, 3.8 twin turbo engine and dual clutch transmission.
Yup it was killing Porsches back then.
If you wanna be successful, you most take responsibility for your emotions, not place the blame on others. In addition to make you feel more guilty about your faults, pointing the finger at others will only serve to increase your sense of personal accountability. There's always a risk in every investment, yet people still invest and succeed. You most look outward if you wanna be successful in life.

Wonder what the R36 will be like, if it ever gets made. Hopefully it'll be a hybrid rather than fully electric for one more generation
R36GT-R is worse than even RUF BTR2.

@@eriksantoso1741 yes. Really, Erik Santoso. Judging on the front end of R36GT-R and performance specs its true that the R36 is slightly worse than RUF BTR2.
R32 has more victories than any of the chassis. By far the most decorated GTR ever made and raced.
Less fat.
Less unnecessary crap.
Pure function.
Pure form.
Long live the true king of the GTRs.
R33 21 secs faster on the ring with same trans/motor.
It has more victories due to when the other models came out, group A was over. Doesn't mean it's better than the other model's.
Every Honda Civic Type R Generations Drag Race
The R38 with the 5.6 V6 and two speed powerglide is my favourite.
And yet, the quickest and fastest GTR in the world right now is an R32. The Australian built street driven car called JUN II built by Croydon Racing Developments did a 6.37 second quarter mile at 224mph.
Read that again. It is now the quickest and fastest GTR in any category, in the world.
And?
Matt has listened to us all! We have all asked for this, and here it is! Now we need a video of: C36, C43 generations, C32, C55 and c63 generations.
Pretty boring video outside of the c32, c55 and C63.

I had a 96 GTS4 when living in Japan for three years. It wasn’t a GT-R but still pretty quick. The looks of that generation will always be my favorite.
IN R34 brake test, I think matt braked from 60 Km, not 60 miles, has shown on the video 18:12
As an Australian who grew up during the Group A era the R32 "Godzilla" GTR will always be special to me, watching them dominate the Sierra's, BMW's and Commodores in the Australian Touring Car series was fantastic. Beautiful, beautiful cars.
can we all agree that matt sucks at launching manual cars?
6.89 to 60 in aR34 GTR WTF!!
he said he wasn't going to launch because it would hurt the clutch
@@tear728 I know but still doesn't seem fair to use launch control in the R35 making it look twics as fast
People forget that these cars are incredibly heavy for what they are. Between the all-wheel drive system, the 4-wheel steering, the interior electronics, that adds a lot of weight!
You must be new. I think Matt has a bit more experience in launching any car than you'll ever have.
@@betterbeavailable Chill lol
I'm just saying It's not a fair comparison between the four cars.. the r34 can do sub 5 seconds 0-60
and of course he must be better than me at lanching cars.. but who am I? he's the car jounalist
Always strange the R35 gets compared to them when they're Skylines and the R35 isn't.
Sick lineup though.
In some ways even the R35 is a skyline, since elements of the FM chasis made up both the 350Z and the future Infiniti cars
no comparison between the older skyline and the new GTR‘s, It is on another level they have no chance against it in anything approaching stock condition.
All I want is all of them in my garage! What a BEAUTIFUL collection!!!!!
@ 15:00 R32 did 0-60mph in 7.2 sec and 15.55 1/4 mile
@ 15:58 R33 did 0-60mph in 6.63 and 15.01 1/4 mile
@ 16:25 R34 did 0-60mph in 6.89 and 15.26 1/4 mile
Man these poor old GT-R clearly have very very tired engines and are in desperate need for an engine overhaul.
I'm pretty sure that experienced driver would do at least 6s with R32 GTR. It's really all about your driving skills, also matt didn't want to abuse these cars.
I'd say they are quicker than that but it's easy to tell how gentle matt is pulling away as sure the owners won't be happy possibly damaging clutches
@@zazaaz900979 Nekiosk, the GTR R34 Vspec can accelerate faster than even Tesla Roadster car.
If you heard, Matt said that he was doing an easy launch to not hurt the clutches. Just a slow roll off the line, not a clutch dump
No mate, he's driving them like a pussy, probably because he doesn't own them and doesn't want to damage them. You have to literally dump the clutch at 7000 to launch one correctly.
I came to RUclips to learn how to trade after listening to a guy on radio talk about the importance of investing and how he made $460.000 in 2 months for $70.000. Somehow this video has helped me light on some things. But I'm confused, I'm a newbie and I'm open to ideas

Having driven a 400hp R33 GT-R and a 485hp R35 on the track, I found the R35 to be a great car, but much more boring and poor in feel.
The interesting test would be R32/R33/34 600hp vs R35.
Yep. But what about a drag race test between all eras of Corvette cars?
Yes. Drove a R35 on track too : it's a clock breaker, but in terms of feel and pleasure behind the wheel, that's not a fantastic car.

The R32 just sounds so good
The Skylines are about style and determination. The R35 GTR is all about power. I’ve been with the same company for 22 years (I’m almost 42) and I’m sitting on a nice bonus that’s able to allow me to own a dream car and make me one of the happiest men alive. I’m stuck on which route to take; get an R34 GTR for nostalgia of my youth( I graduated high school in 1999, so a 1999 GTR is obvious) or go all out and get a R35 GTR and just roll with the time
That display on the R-34 was made by Polyphony Digital if I am no mistaken - the creators of the Gran Turismo franchise.
Nope, that was the R35's.
