❤ YOUR WISH TO DRIVE A HAKO. Thank you for showing love to a vintage chassis. 18 years of daily driving a sub 2100lb (950kilo) Datsun 510s has really taught me how priceless weight is in search of speed. I get in anything modern and just cant get over the feeling of mass in cornering... I am amazed at how "capable" a 50 year old chassis is with under 150hp compared to a modern car with 2x the power. Of all skylines - the Hakosuka is by far the one i would want first.
U get to drive the coolest cars in the world man... car sounds amazing.. Could do with a bit of a smaller turbo and stil make the same bhp tho but less laggy.. and more power in lower rpms.. g35-900 for example
Great car. Only problem is the g35 1050 on this setup seems quite laggy and you can see that when Misha is flooring it, nothing is really happening. Seems like the powerband is similar to NA car where power is linear and up at the top rpm range. Usually on these gtr's with anything higher than 600hp, it gets on boost crazily and the speedometer rapidly increases. This specific car the speedometer even under full throttle goes up so slowly. Was it running on the 730hp map for this vid, seems like it was running around 550-600hp crank. You said you don't bother with reaching 900hp which is what this turbo can do so I recommend then swapping out to a smaller turbo which can achieve the same 730hp but with much better spool. Also with the amount of money spent on this car, an oil cooler is a must!
Smaller exhaust side on the turbo or increase capacity to rb30 or higher. In the end you'll get better drivability too and boost will come on sooner and harder depending on tune.
@@Kiwi_Bayer just found it it was running low boost at 600hp. Still was expecting bit more but I guess this turbo at 600hp must be on very low psi which explains why it is the way it is.

It's fun seeing the old JDM icons being actually driven, as most the time you see them on a track they accelerate on a straight, then causes a traffic jam in corners as if they were driving a 70s US car. And the ring really does seem punishing on cars, so many with cooling trouble, it probably works fine when they drive themselves, but in the hands of a more professional driver suddenly the flaws get revealed, watching these videos I almost think if I got around to building anything the front end would be a tower of various coolers and fans, out of paranoia of the car running hot. i rember 10 years ago skylines were going for sub £10k here in england. But with them becoming legal in america, the price of skylines has absolutely shot up because theyre importing so many skylines. Its made them much rarer here in uk, hence £40k price tag.
Would love to see Misha drive one of those crazy Aussie R34 GTRs on the ring, one of those 1000 plus HP jobs built as daily drivers with torque everywhere that they featured on that Motive Video Channel but i guess its a long way from Aussie to Germany. This R33 is no where near the calibre of those Aussies builds, they have GTRs down pat.

13:30 This is every morning for me.......... Im flying around the Nur with Misha, then all of the sudden.... BEEP BEEP BEEP my alarm clock goes off LOL
Misha, I find it curious that there are some British cars (most) with excellent preparations that you put on and that you made a easie lap, most of them and sometimes, the vehicles have breakdowns, or end up stopping.... they have great preparation mods but they break down almost all
Great video! I'm a boat owner myself. External oil cooler definitely needed. Maybe a better blow-off to cut down on flutter? Would a smaller EX housing be a better proposition? No boost gauge in the video makes it hard to see the boost curve. How much oil was in the catch can?
Misha, just so you know, not all Skylines/GTRs or RB26's running single turbos have to be "strung out" to start making boost, you just need to have someone bring you a properly sorted one lol. Taking the twins off and going to a single requires work in other areas for drivability, which people with the know-how will do, or, they can run upgraded twins and still make big power..... either way, there's no reason to wait for boost if the right decisions are made with the build. Don't let these two Skylines you've just driven cloud your judgement on them is all I'm saying. 😅
Absolutely love this GT-R but it blows my mind that she is running 18” of CE28 with R35 brakes. I myself would like to get R35 brake calipers and 380mm floating rotors retrofitted on my BNR32 but I have been told that you can hardly have RAYS CE28SL 18X10J +20mm wheels stay on because the barrels of those rims are simply too small for the rotors. i rember 10 years ago skylines were going for sub £10k here in england.
Dolph Lundgren really enjoying his passenger lap. I have different memories of Grace Jones, though. She changed her appearance quite a lot when behind the wheel.
Couldn't concentrate watching the lap whilst also listening to those turbo sounds 😅
Ah, so the GT-T video was a tease!
Now Misha drives the... the best car in the world? But its the middle one! R32
13:30 This is every morning for me.......... Im flying around the Nur with Misha, then all of the sudden.... BEEP BEEP BEEP my alarm clock goes off LOL
Misha, I find it curious that there are some British cars (most) with excellent preparations that you put on and that you made a easie lap, most of them and sometimes, the vehicles have breakdowns, or end up stopping.... they have great preparation mods but they break down almost all
Dragging past 200 like butter.. The horses are crazy!
bit of jdm action there, i swear the r33 is one of my favourite skylines ,even cooler than the r34 in my opinion
My ultimate dream car, I love the R33 GT-R so much 😍
My absolutely favorite car in Gran Turismo 2
Car looks and sounds awesome. 118°c isn't that high for an oil temp unless it's set low cos the engines quite new?
Picked up the foot cam without missing a beat. Shame it had issues that hurt the lap. Would've loved to hear the exhaust throughout the lap.
Great video! I'm a boat owner myself. External oil cooler definitely needed. Maybe a better blow-off to cut down on flutter? Would a smaller EX housing be a better proposition? No boost gauge in the video makes it hard to see the boost curve. How much oil was in the catch can?
The lag is ridiculous it didnt even start making boost under 5k rpm. Terrible build.
Mis my R33GTR everyday best car l ever had.
Finally R33 gtr have been waiting for one thumbs up👍
Misha, just so you know, not all Skylines/GTRs or RB26's running single turbos have to be "strung out" to start making boost, you just need to have someone bring you a properly sorted one lol.
The outside B-Pillar trim was coming off at high speed 😅. Otherwise, very nice car & sounds amazing
When the passenger has time to style swipe his hair, on a track with 700plus bhp, and a big grin....They didn't 👑 crown the SKYLINE for no reason.. ❤
I was just about to give up until I watched this video in which the owner seems had done the impossible. Can you advise on the rim setup of the car please?
My favourite Skyline the R-33 🙌🏽
This channel should have one million subscribers already 😊😊😊😊😊
Misha has the gift of check the real performance of your car :)
