I ve been checking on utube all this time for your new content... truth is you ve been spoiling us with excellence, and it hard without that craze! jolly good you re back! ❤
A couple of months ago I discovered your channel via this exact video series and I spent an evening practicing a little routine of 4 tricks to show my partner who suffers from some pretty bad depression and so on. I'd never done a magic trick before and I blew her mind with the routine haha... she absolutely loved it! Thank you for making these :) They are really fun. Welcome back :)
@@Epic-ig9sm I mean the magic tricks didn't cure her life long chronic illness if that's what you mean :P She's doing okay though, thank you for asking :)
I did the rising card trick with a haunted deck gimmick. I used my free hand to wave my finger to 'call' up the card. One of the people I showed acted like I had used demons, or something.
***PRO TIP MAGICIANS AND NEW MAGICIANS (I promise this is worth reading): In the last trick, I much prefer this. Write the name of the card you want to force on your arm in chapstick. Or, you can even create a mold of a card, put a TINY bit of dish soap on the mold, and press it on your arm (either can be done hours before performing). Either way, you’ll tear the card in half, and set one half on fire completely. The ashes then go in a bowl. Then, when you spread the ashes across your gimmicked arm, whether you use dish soap or chapstick, the writing will appear in ashes! It’s dirty, but well worth washing off. The best part is that your arm looks and feels blank and normal - spectators can even rub the inside of your forearm before you spread the ashes on it. They’ll feel nothing! I’ve done it tons of times, it’s impromptu, and if you’re too lazy to make your own molds, there’s a very old trick for sale called Phoenix Ashes. I’ve had it for 15 years ish. It’s literally two molds (a 10♠️ and 4♣️ - black cards look best). It comes with what looks like the ink pad from business stamps that you have to press the mold into, then stamp some ink onto paper. Only with this mold, you’re going to put dish soap on it and rub it in well with your finger (just a few drops). There will be a bit of soap residue when done correctly. Simply take your mold, gently press down on the stamp pad, and then stamp your arm. I’ve done that in the morning and performed it at night - lasts all day. So, if you’ve made it this far, try it! Chapstick just requires you nearly write the card onto your arm (a 5♦️for example), or write its name out. Just be sure that card is in ashes. It’s the easiest thing you can do and have ppl run from you and call you demon possessed 😂 (I’ve had that happen twice). I hope you guys have fun with it! Cheers 🍻 from Texas
dude, i LOVE you. Those tricks are amazing, last one got my mind blown. I`ve been practicing all your videos to be able to perform a few tricks during our dnd campaign when the aprty reaches this carnival. Im sooo excited, Ive tested them with my coworkers and they loved it
I use this force all the time! Tip for you: you can flip your hands to show what card the would have stopped one less ( the bottom card of the top packet ) as you slip the top card away. It adds the misdirection that you need if you're scared to do it.
I would just like to say a huge thank you for what you do. I am a very huge fan of card magic. And if you ever think about doing a show in Townsville Queensland, could you please let me know. I have just been diagnosed with younger onset mixed dementia due to Alzheimer's disease and lewy body dementia and I am only 51 years old. I have been trying to stimulate my mind to maybe slow it down. You are amazing, my friend.
I have been watching your videos for some time. My favorite number has been 10 for decades now, 10 Hearts fav card, It blew me AWAY when I saw your tattoo of it in the video !!!!! Awesome !!!!
Glad you're back. I performed all these tricks today and got great reactions. Keep those simple tricks coming up! I really like those and they keep me kinda into magic as I'm a bit frustrated with advanced stuff right now.. Cheers!
Hi Jason, I just wanted to say that you are are really good at magic and I love your sleight of hand. You are my favourite RUclipsr and one on my favourite magicians 😃
Cool. Fooled me. Rising card method is boss from other methods that I know. I have been performing the method with the weight. But this method allows you to end clean, (After the palm or any clean up). Best part. You can ring in the gimmick with a matching deck and after which clean up. Outstanding!
I was literally staring at the deku tattoo on your arm the whole time

I've been practicing the riffle plus slip force. I am able to fool my 11-year-old! Is there a technique for getting the bottom card to the top of the deck? I ask because after the trick is down, it would be fun to repeat it (for my daughter), but the top card of the deck is no longer known to me. If there was a shuffle where I could discretely move the bottom card to the top (after peaking at the bottom card), I could play again. Thank you again for the cool trick! I feel like a magician (I'm not, but I'm having fun 🙂)
You are rather addicting to watch I have a good time you're a great host

Question for JM or other card magicians: Is there a brand or style of card that is easier for learning sleight-of-hand on? I have a deck of cards that I'm practicing Jason's trick with. I find it a little slippery. But I am very clumsy, too. Have a great day! Thanks for the fun videos!
