Another father here learning to show my kids! I love trying to figure out how tricks are done myself and maybe one of my kids will bond with me over my enjoyment of magic!
Charisma showmanship and skill the 3 main things one needs in order to be a great magician. Brotha you have all 3 in heaping amounts. I'm always very impressed and entertained and blown away by the tricks you present and teach. Thank you! Cheers mate!
“I get the feeling that there’s father or parents that want to learn easy magic.” Dude you’re really a mind reader. My wife and I are getting ready for having kids and I legit started learning magic from you for that reason
Do it!! I regret not. Loved slide of hand my entire life. There something special about seeing something impossible.. you know it's impossible... but some how you doubting it!
I have a 2-year-old nephew, and I've been thinking something similar. Like, incorporate it to teaching them numerals or counting, to add a little bit of extra fun to it.
Absolutely 200% do it. A newborn probably won’t understand the mystifying effect you’re going for, but my 6 year old not only loves the tricks I show her but also tries to do her own version of every single one. It’s totally worth it even if you only learn a few basic things.
Jason, what you said is absolutely true. I show theese tricks to my 4 year old and he was stunned. Thanks for the simple magic :) I really like the sleight of hand tricks to watch, but I haven't got the time to perfect it, so for me the simpliest tricks are the best :)
Jason, you're 100% correct. I've been learning magic to show my grandaughters. They love it! They're always wanting to play with the foam balls. The trouble is the 2yo grandkid is so switched on she's working the tricks out! Thanks for these tutorials, i cant wait until they're old enough to understand card tricks!
Thank you so much. There’s so much in these videos that people starting off can learn and use and make magic fun for themselves and others. More than anything you explain it in a way that’s respectful to everyone. Sleight of hand is wonderful, and these are a great way to get newcomers into bringing joy to people. Please keep this going , all levels. Thank you.
Ah, man! Brings back nostalgia to me, the pseudo double trick, I first saw it from Chris Ramsey, the good old days. I don't know why, after years learning tricks and doing them to friends and stuff it is just good to see people are out there offering teaching to new people and even older youtube binge-watchers to remember those tricks that are good, but you just forgot over time. It is so good, man! Thank you!
I'm definitely in the category of just trying to impress my young kids or mess with some friends, but I love learning these to blow my kid's minds...I had learned that last trick from another video, my 9 year old son got so pissed because he couldn't figure out how I was doing it. Thanks for helping me be the cool "magical" dad for a few minutes at least haha
I've discovered you through shorts, but your full videos are criminally underwatched. First one was nice, but I suspect many of my friends would deliberately choose a card from the middle of the deck. Maybe you can start with a fully sorted deck, keep track from which suit they picked, cut into exactly the four suits and shuffle only the suit chosen face up. Would ofc require some work to make it look natural. Maybe you could first shuffle (bonus points since this shuffle is genuinely a shuffle) two suits (black + red preferably), then add the chosen suit face down and lastly the remaining suit. Also you would need to make sure that they do not pick the kings, or fold the corner of the queen as well. Second one was immediately obvious for me, but I guess it works really well for kids. Third one is my favorite here. The way you did the trick for the first two "guesses" made me think there is some connection between the cards (although I had no idea how since the deck was genuinely shuffled), but when you did it for the third without looking, I immediately thought that looking at the first pile was only distraction, when indeed it wasn't really distraction but already setup for the next round. The crazy thing is that if you first told me how it works, I would've said it's way too obvious and I would notice immediately, but I absolutely didn't, well done :)
First your voice, second your accent, third your freaking personality... I enjoy watching you and I'm sure your audiences are spellbound beyond belief. That was a compliment :-)
Hey, my bro! I remembered to turn on my notification bell and it's been a real help seeing content that always puts a smile on my face, So great to see you and your teachings, as it really pushes me to learn more! Thank you for your videos! Support from Sydney!
Legend! This is the 10th time I watch one of your videos and I'm starting to really like learning new card tricks. But it's getting hard to remember every trick and perform them in the right order haha!
I like the mindreading you did there about father's wanting to do some magic for their kids 😂 I've done a few sloppy (but successful!) coins/whatever(really somehow works with anything with some misdirections) from behind the ears. But these card tricks really work well!
A nice detail you can do in the end of the first trick is to spread the deck from your right to your left so the pips are correctly facing the spectator and also reads A 2 3 4… from left to right for the spectator…. and not shoving the pips upside down. I allways spread the deck from my right to my left for the sake of the audience
Man, I've lost count on the number of magic card tricks you've presented... do you remember them all or do you have to train before presenting the magic? Love this series... one like coming up!
I was wondering the same thing lol. At my age I can't even remember these tricks 10 minutes after watching the video I don't know how you remember dozens and dozens of them.
as someone mentioned, he knew what going on with 6 & 9 trick. but my mind was going, like huh? something is going on, doesn’t look right. but then i got caught up in your amazing personality :) and just took the trick as is. when you explained it, then i realized what was wrong. one more observation. why do these normal cards have those very noticeable lines on two corners opposite to each other? never saw that on regular cards before. thanks! great vid! :) 🪄🤹🏽♂️🌷🌱
Hey Jason. My wife and I play cards quite often with other couples. I’ve stumbled onto your glorious channel and now during our games I’ve performed some of your tricks I’ve seen here. Can you make a video on how to deal with people who are intentionally trying to figure out the trick and ruin it? For example, trick 1 in this video, for whatever reason she refuses to pick any of the initial 13 cards offered. How do you deal with this smoothly?
What i usually do is have them say stop at a random point, and slowly (like Reeeeeeeeeeally slowly, about 5-10 secs per card) and then their (mostly) guaranteed to choose one of the thirteen cards. If that doesn’t work, just tell them choose from the first few cards. And no these aren’t the best options, but they are (relatively) reliable
That second trick was the first trick I ever learned when I was like 6 or 7. I remember being the coolest kid in class for like 2minutes after I showed it them. Thanks as always Jason! Keep up the great work!
Hi J . I really like your skills keep going like this A small request, when you share with us a RUclips video of other magicians, please turn up the volume a little more
Loved this video! I tried the second trick and it worked perfect immediately! Almost fooled myself, haha. I still can't believe I got to meet you in Akihabara :D Too bad I didn't ask for a magic trick in person hehe! Next time mate
Hey Jason I was just wondering if you were going to the Scottish Fringe festival? I’m going in the summer and I remember you saying in an earlier video that you were going to Scotland. It would be great if you could reply 👍
Hello Jason, this is Mark from L.A.!! That's actually lower Alabama not Los Angeles California! Ive just started learning magic and every trick I attempt to learn i come to one realization...my damn hands are just too big!! Do you have any hand shrinking magic you could help me with? Or do you have any tricks only for people with big hands? Either one will be fine!! Your the best dude!! P.S. you would pass for the twin brother of my best friend!! Scary close!! Lol!!! No joke!
So how about a video about really difficult tricks? Not necessarily revealing how they're done, but ones that leave you in admiration about how clever or insane to pull off they are. I mean like in any of the fields there are different levels of things.
Jason, Sure would like to c full handling on the trick that fooled hudini. I've been playing with it for hours and after the faceup card goes face up in middle I'm lost pass or what the heck?
Another father here learning to show my kids! I love trying to figure out how tricks are done myself and maybe one of my kids will bond with me over my enjoyment of magic!

It's the Queen of Dooimonds, baby!! 😂
Crazy tricks, really impressive! 👍

I liked the little nod to Ryan George and his pitch meetings 11:48

The 2nd was one of the first tricks I learnt along with a key card trick. Today they are what I teach to anybody that asks.
Some great tricks here Jason! Thanks for sharing 👍
Love these videos. They are simple, cut and dry, and a lot of fun.
I'm definitely in the category of just trying to impress my young kids or mess with some friends, but I love learning these to blow my kid's minds...I had learned that last trick from another video, my 9 year old son got so pissed because he couldn't figure out how I was doing it. That 6 and 9 one is devious, I love it. Genuinely blew a few minds and it's such an easy trick.
Your tutorials are awesome. Thanks for sharing your skills with us.
First your voice, second your accent, third your freaking personality... I enjoy watching you and I'm sure your audiences are spellbound beyond belief. That was a compliment :-)
Pretty girls and my kids have been the best audiences
so impressive!! You’re so good at this.
The second trick is really cool if you do it with the king and the queen, you could say something about how love brought them together
The trick with the up side down spades was freaking good.
Simple, but still impressive and fooling. 👍
